  1. Car make/type/model : Nissan Skyline R33 Gtst S1 Year : 1994 Overall condition of car: 8/10 - Engine & drive train 10/10 How is the car treated: 9/10 (Daily driven with the as many track and drag days as possible) Maintenance level: 10/10 - gets serviced every 5 thousand religiously or before, plus everytime it gets flogged at the track - I have shares in Nissan and most aftermarket suppliers Modifications: Everything ... lol - see my rebuild thread Insurance: Full comprensive - Shannons ftw Estimated power: 345.2 rwkw... as of last Thursday.... Estimated $ spent per year to maintain: Who farking knows, I'd say over $10k this last year with replacing items such as gearsets and diffs... engine rebuild not included (thats scary and I aint sharing the cost!).... normal expenses ie fuel, rego, tyres & insurance are for me around $7k per year (on top of said $10K) .... lots of fuel with the coastie cruise once a week !! At least my maintenance this year will be less as everything has been replaced and therefore not likely to break anytime soon!! lol Expecting around $6k this year for the usual stuffs... Income allows this soooo all good
  2. ^^^ yep drivers side strut tower..bout half way down with a right angle fitting so the guage can be seen
  3. PM sent hun..... Dibs on the tein adjustable tie rods presuming you mean castor rods???? As std tie rods are adjustable, unless you replaced them cause they were shagged?? I am assured they are interchangable..... Edit: dave just informed me my tie rods are fooked, so either way I call dibs!! Sorry to start raping your bits so soon too
  4. Spotted Ando, Chris x 2, Jess and Dave all getting toasty warm on the lounge in front of the gas heater at the new place... Oh spotted some tool in a 4wd think he was entitled to merge at my passenger door as his car was bigger, no indicator either then tailgated me like I was in the wrong And a skyline on Greystanes rd bout 8ish tonight... don't know what model... I only noticed the tail lights in my review mirror.... I was turning right at the lights (obviously in a daze!) Think it was a black 32/33
  5. +1 on all accounts... including your oldies place
  6. OMG!!!! Thats not good news At least your ok, or will be once the aches disappear..... If you need a hand with anything, you know where we live or our numbers
  7. will do.... will happen within the month... just need to get the box fitted... (looking for a blown one if anyone has one to fit the gearset into??) and the sump finished first....
  8. too hard to start a new thread??? ... Now im going to start noticing those farking things again.... thanks alot Sh@un bwahahahaha
  9. ^^^^ no.... but it would be nice And there would be more "epic failboat sliding into port" style photos to amuse the SAU crowd Besides Dave has more, can't let him beat me!! lol Seriously though il wait till the gain goes back up and take it from there.... the other rear is here so if I don't lose my response there is still alot more left in the turbo.... And I still have the 256 in & ex poncams.... that would make a bit of difference too if I upgraded them..... But it is just a girls car after all....... so il prolly leave it for another 3 months till the power feels slow again....
  10. Bit before actually... must remember to look at it!! Used to be 3600 ish at the 15-16 psi... redline is 8,000 rpm still But we have turned the gain down so the boost doesn't come on as hard for obvious traction/gearbox diff reasons... Il turn it back up once thats all done.... then either comes the 0.82 rear thats lying around or maybe something bigger ??? haven't decided yet....... Although it still doesn't have any form of traction if you boot it a bit..... lol
  11. go Sh@un..... way to revive an oooooooooooooold thread
  12. Well better late than never! We finally got round to getting tuned to see what the 0.63 rear would max out at!!! Results Further additions are slightly bigger brakes & a lil camber .... ummm sump, diff and OS Giken Gearset are currently in progress ..... std diff & gearbox didn't like Wakie the other week...lol
  13. Whoops knew I forgot to do something!! Photo time:
  14. hmmmm Il be there... il see Adam (TM's) this weekend and pay him etc then... otherwise il forget and won't go!! !!!
  15. *cough* retuned, well finally tuned not just a quick touchup to get through some events after the rebuild Soooo it took two months not two weeks to see what I could max the 0.63 rear out at.... nothing has changed except the 044 was installed and the FPR actually turned up a bit... 345.2 rwkw @21-22 psi..... kw sheet has AFR's and the HP sheet has the psi hmmmz now bigger rear housing time
  16. Ah thanks! Yeah I'd love to keep it but I have one money pit already... and I physically can't drive two cars at once and the zed will lose to the line everytime Im actually a member on there... didn't even think of that! Il post it up there a bit later
  17. ^^ agreed with Tony 100% If they know your car, they know the mods and previous tunes.. If they tune similar cars with similar mods then also expect it to be quicker as they are not starting from a base map.... Obviously a full tune from scratch including cold start takes longer than say adding a few mods and getting it touched up.
  18. ^^ lol But each to their own, finding a tuner your happy with is like finding a partner.... pain in the ass!!
  19. Each to their own opinion.... But for someone that gets flown to the USA to tune ... he has to be pretty decent... I personally use Hitman..... no dramas, won't go anywhere else - but then I run a Haltech... But he is also pretty handy with a PFC judging by the dyno sheets and other members cars I have seen there. But for other options I would use SAS, CRD or Unigroup...
  20. you may be onto something Adam!!! Wonder if its doable??? lol... Somehow I think they would tell us to get stuffed!!! Either or if its factory specs then I win hands down.... Im assuming the factory specs on a RB25DET are around 5,000 to 5,500 rpm seeing as most are tested at 3,800..... If it was tested on real power then umm imine should be tested at 6,150 ... Id epic fail for sure!!!! lol Perhaps DECIM8 can test your dyno sheet theory out!!
  21. Whoops missed this thread.... but you got my happy birthday message at about 12.05am on Saturday..... *throwsballoonsandstrippersandshtuffs*
  22. Damn .... no good punk kids! But at least the car was still there.... It is school holidays atm though.... I wish they got more than a caution... basically teaches them that they can do what they want and get away with it till they are close to 18.... As for repairs... can you get door barrels rekeyed to match the new ignition??? Or might be more simpler to install a central locking kit hooked up to your alarm/immobiliser system?? Therefore eliminating the need for a key in the door.... How bad is the wiring??? I know a good auto elec that is mobile and can come to you... he rewired my car when the ecu fried itself the night before DECA last year... came out at 8pm as I was leaving at 4am the next morning!! For the plastic surrounds Id get some from a wrecker such as SSS @ Giraween or Just Jap etc.... or in the for sale section on here..
  23. What about a normal shaped Kakitmoto muffler?? I mean mine is loud on the zed and was on the S13 when up it, but at idle it was reasonable and didn't shake cars next to me..... the garage on cold start in a two story townhouse was another matter though... lol Both of mine ran one normal muffler .... the S13 didnt have a cat either (brought in like this and passed by RTA for first rego....lol) I wasn't aware till I was at the pits (all excited to get it rego'd) and they went under it and I noticed that the cat had been split/gutted and rewelded over the straight through pipe!!! Sensor was still in the cat though... was very well done! several defect pits over 5 years and it wasn't once noticed... although the analyser would of picked it up if they had ever tried it
  24. ah okies... so its not the first dash parts of the redline?? The tester told me the wrong info.... So guessing the factory specs determine the testing point... all good, I dont have to declare my peak power as 8,200 then!! lol bwahahaha Yes I have also experienced this first hand.... expression was priceless... and didn't make the same mistake the second time round..... different tester obviously This was years ago in my S13 for engineering cert.... got round the corner from the second place, jammed it in and rammed it down.... crossed fingers.. lol My car was spitting it put for about a week later I jammed that much in there.... level prior to steel wool (and secondary muffler) was around 102 db.... whoops... again straight through kakimoto exhaust...
  25. mines on the fire wall also... hang on I have a pic somewhere
