  1. Hey guys, Just a quick question! Recently installed my FMIC and now seem to have excessive unburnt fuel attached to the back of my car - only noticed cause its all over my number plate! Should I have reset my ECU after the FMIC was installed? Will this help or will I need to check the AFM as it was disturbed during the install? Cheers, Anna
  2. I own both a Skyline and a 97 clubspec wrx wagon. I much prefer driving the Skyline to the WRX - but that is personal preference. They are completely different cars to drive and you can't really compare them. It just depends on what you want out of a car? Also the WRX gearbox is weak in first & second gears. Our gearbox had second replaced before we bought it and only just recently had first replaced and the car only has 120,00kms on it. If you want to launch off the lights all the time a WRX is going to break first gear without a doubt.
  3. Will this also bolt straight onto a 33?
  4. True but it soooo cheap compared to others and I thought how bad can it be! Oh well back to the mobil 1 - might drop the old owner a message and see what grade he was using as it was working really well !
  5. Hmm will give it ago but this is becoming an expensive exercise! Hope this quietens down my lifters!
  6. Read through this thread and have seen conflicting stories - I just did my first oil change and apparantly the car was previously running Mobil 1 and was as quiet as a baby... did an oil change with 10w40 full synthetic (Nulon) and now my lifters are noisy! They were noisy straight away after it came off fast idle. Should I go back to Mobil 1 and try 15w50? or perhaps this oil is shite and maybe try another 10w40? Car has done 100,000 - R33 94 - also has an oil cooler and a smaller filter than normal (442). Cheers, Anna
  7. Why does no one ever spot me! I only drive like 500kms a week back & forth to work etc! Spotted a Grey R32 GTR down at Quickfit Motorsport in Hornsby yesterday. Anybody on here?
  8. I too would be interested to see where we can get them - just incase mine ever get injured beyond repair!
  9. Id be in.... be broke afterwards but definitely in!
  10. When my old S13 was brought into the country, the CAT had been split at the top - gutted out - exhaust went straight through - and finally the cat sat back around the exhaust and welded at the top where no one could see. Sensor was still sitting in it - though it was ummm loose and rattled..lol Went to replace it but when I took it over the pits at the RTA for first rego they didnt even test it!
  11. Nope not that pipe. Not sure if you can get an adapter for these to mount in the standard position? otherwise can block your stock one back off and use this one in place of the original SMIC piping.
  12. Yep .. take off the stock pipe going down the right side of the engine towards the SMIC and bolt this one in. Not sure on the vacuum lines.. never really looked at it ... from memory they went into a T piece which then was plumbed back to the manifold side... however may be completely wrong as when the FMIC was installed we dicovered the standard BOV was still connected and working - hadnt been blocked! Had two working at once!
  13. Anyone? Open to reasonable offers.....
