  1. Get the Kumho V70a. Good tyre for a cheap price. Are you planning to use them on the street? If not go the v710. Very grippy and great bang for buck. And get the biggest size you can fit on the rim. More tyre equals faster!
  2. That's a good increase in both bodyweight and lifts for Alex. Did Stelian go from 89kg to 103kg since June?? Is PTC method different to PPP?
  3. So what did he weigh 9 weeks ago and what does he weigh now? How did you get him up so quickly? Please post his routine in here or the other thread you started. Thanks.
  4. no problem rev thanks for clarifying.
  5. Markos - at what point do you recommend a person going from the whole body workout to the PPP workout as I'm assuming you don't start people on PPP - or do you? If so, for what reason would you recommend one over the other? Would you alternate between them? Thanks.
  6. fark it, despite all logic telling me not to, I'll bite; rev - before (the last time this came up) you said pre-workouts were useless and placebo's, I took that to mean 'all'. Now you are saying only non-banned ones don't work... slight change of tune.. I think I know why.... Before when asked how you go from 15-25 reps or whatever it was, you said to take creatine and was it L'Arginine(?) as they can help you push out a few extra reps (apologies if I am incorrect on the l'arginine, im sure it was something like that)... now its beer (granted your taking the piss). Those ingredients are in most if not all pre-workouts both banned and not banned. How do they work in isolation but not in a pre-workout? Yes the pwo has other ingredients as well and not all good but they do have those ingredients. My point? they are not all placebo's and useless as you make out. Slight contradictions imo. Just saying....
  7. Mate, 10/10 for effort and commitment! Couldn't believe it when I read 'then this happened'... for the 2nd time and then you tagged the wall again! But hats off to ya and clearly paying off. Car is looking pretty good and getting very serious. Get as much power out of that donk as you can as it makes a big difference at EC as you know! Good luck at WTAC

    Squattin

I was also doing this. To stop it I did the following; I put the bar under my traps (low back position), gripped the bar really hard, went for a wider stance, turned my feet very slightly outwards, dropped from my backside as though sitting and then on the way up pushed from the back of my feet through the hips. This part was real important, had to concentrate on where to 'push' from. I also took my runners off and did it in socks as the runners were springing me up pushing me forward. I dropped the weight until I got used to the new technique. I find I don't lean forward any more and importantly don't push off the front of my foot.
  9. C4, Assault, 1MR, Jackd, NO Explode, Scream etc etc Edit: just read in your thread the lack of sleep!!!! A pre is the last thing you need!
  10. "Diet is 70% of how we look and 30% how we train" I heard this once.... When I first started training 18months ago I was 86kg. I got down to 78kgs this February. I've gone back to 82-83kgs. Training frequency is the same ie average 4 days per week Training approach is slightly different; whole body workouts as opposed to body parts. Strength is similar if not stronger (than when I was 78kgs) Only difference is how much I eat. I eat a lot more now (in winter) than what I did before and not all of it is good, hence the increase in weight. When at 78kg I was told I looked really lean and now at 83kg everyone is saying I look much bigger and look good. I do feel bigger but I felt better at 78kg! Challenge for me now is to lose the little bit of fat I put on not lose weight. I can lose weight easily, but I don't want to lose muscle size nor strength. That might be impossible when dropping almost 5kg but I want to minimise it. Only way I'm going to do that is the correct diet ie not diet to lose weight but eat correctly to lose fat and maintain muscle. How I train wont have that large an effect on it...
  11. With 9 so far in Pro class and only 7 in ProAm, I wonder how they will allocate the session times this year? 42 in Open and 33 in Clubsprint.
  12. lol that sounds like a good challenge. I need some motivation to be honest as I've lost the 'thing' for powerlifting. Injuries suck! Markos; with the whole body workout, what is the routine ie what reps and sets should you be aiming for? If that is something you sell, like PPP, let me know the price and I'll transfer it to your account That does explain a lot..................................
  13. I've been doing full body workouts 3 times a week for the last 4 weeks; Squats Flat bench press (or dumbbell press) Lat pull down (or wide grip chins) Upright rows Military press (light as shoulder is still bung) Dips Mixing it up with different amounts of sets and reps, although squats, bench and lay pull downs are always 5 sets. It's hard to put deads in there so on the 4th day have started to do them again with shoulders (mainly rear delts) and arms (tris/bis). Liking the workout a lot but it is taxing on the body. As for deads did these last week for the first time in 2 months: 60x10 100x10 120x5 140x5 150x1 160x1 170x1 Was satisfied with that after such a long time off them.
  14. Thanks fatz but not what I had in mind.
  15. Yes of course and that's why I'm so unsure on it. Your absolutely right, I've seen the results first hand and should not even risk it. I just wanted to see what options there were out there that perhaps could have been more cost effective. Some of the results with the cheaper intercoolers ie NYTSKY are what is making me think twice. In any case I'll think about it and make a decision closer to the date.
  16. I hear you loud and clear and trust me I have thought about it long and hard. It's a lot of money for what it is, hence this thread to see I there are other options. Would you believe I was going to buy an ARC tube and fin intercooler 100mm and missed out on it at the last minute. it sold for $895 brand new. Was quite peeved to miss that. Realistically it will be run at 450rwk but might get turned up more for drag events.
  17. That's what I'm going to do. If it works, fantastic, if it doesn't, I'll just get a better one. I think the cost saving potential justifies the gamble in this case.
  18. I wasn't there unfortunately... but I saw some footage of you and Ninos So your car is tuned at JEM and made 550rwk. No issues with the cooler at all? Did Adam make any comment about the intake temps or the cooler efficiency? Thanks FATZ, but dont think I need the twin entry lol!
  19. Your kidding!!! I take it this is on your car? Its not providing any restriction at all? Have you measured intake temps to check cooler efficiency? BTW out of curiosity, where you out on a cruise last night with a few big powered cars?
  20. Hi Guys, I need an intercooler for my SR22VET. Has to support 500rwk+, will realistically make and be run on 450rwk. Ideally want a tube and fin core as I most likely will run it 'inbay' with the radiator directly behind. It will need to be 4" (90mm or 100mm). So far the options lead to Plazmaman but they are around $1700 and if I have no option I will run one of these. Want to know what other options might be available and what you guys are running for these power levels. So what is out there, what are you running, where did you buy it and how much was it? Cheers, John
