  1. How about an M3 engine, suspension, and JPS decal set....all with matching numbers..... then it might be close to a swap.... otherwise $5000.
  2. So you really think that it has sold!!! :laughing-smiley-014: FREE BUMP
  3. Hey Simon, Any chance of a photo of the front damage, when you managed to stop the road getting hit by that rock!! At least it will stop any guessing.... which is probably worse than they real thing. Also is it still Regd, if so 'til when. thanks
  4. Well what's got me wondering is what the hell do you go to after you do sell your Stag.... It has crossed my mind a few times, (mainly in the close vicinity of fuel pumps).... but seriously, is there a car that can deliver as much value for money, and fun for the florin.... I doubt it..... now where did I see that GTR for $15,000!! (ha ha.... you call that a boot!!)
  5. Yep.... great day, Good to see a few Stageas all together again. Iolanda had fun and learnt heaps. Sideways Sam, you driving was awesome..... well done mate. Thanks to everyone being so patient while I sorted out the running order (which wasn't easy). Thanks to the organisers and Brad and Steve for showing Iolanda the way around. Brad, "unique" the car was pretty amazing, it's a rocket buddy. Now that you couldn't do that in an Anglia.... ha ha. thanks to Charlie for the bbq lunch!! Pity we had a bail a tad early, but we went to Beach party in aid of "Make a Wish".... very good. We "donated" about $40 on games, and came away with a kayak trip, wine and lots of goodies for Angelina (4 yo daughter)..... in all worth over $150!! That capped of a brilliant day. Oh yeah well done Loretta.... you definitely improved during the day... Good to meet so many nice people. Cheers
  6. Well nobody should miss it..... after all you have an extra hour to get ready now... if you didn't set your clock back you should be there an hour before everyone else!! Gotta go an wash it.
  7. Nothin against either cars, but (at this stage anyway) I think that we'd like to keep to Stagea's. We don't get together very often. We shouldn't get too many lost....) I hope! So I am intending to make Kings Park a stop.
  8. Oh well....Anzac day might be good, but I think that Kings Park might end up rather busy....of course we could pretend we are driving Tanks, (all the Skyline owners think we are anyway!!). Maybe the 27th might be the best day? (Which is the day that you picked, Kristie, I just realised).... the Sunday. I'll start working on the map.... I think that I'll try to make a bit of everything. All input welcome.
  9. Hey Grant, good to see you back. I like what you're doing too..... mainly so that that I can raise my eyebrows ha ha... The forum needs a little shakin up at times...... If you want to see what happens in Aus when you go a little low, see this recent run......http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=209843&view=findpost&p=3738194 The poor guy was only about 30mm under legal.... luckily he had adjustable shocks, otherwise he'd have been walking home!! So don't blame us old farts for keepin it legal.... we all look at our cars differently. I like mine fairly stock, helps keep the resale up a tad, maybe if they were as plentiful and cheap as in Japan,... it'd be different. Anyway the fiestiness of the replies was funny..... and remember that us Aussies don't have to laugh at ourselves.... that's why we have Americans!! By the way.... it's no good asking Mitchy for directions to another forum on Stagea's ..... he can't even find the one for Legnums!! :laughing-smiley-014:
  10. Something along the lines of the "old fashioned" cruises we used to do, when I first got into cars. A cruise where we are actually cruising, showing our cars off, not flying down the freeway at 110 or above try to see who can get there fastest!! The map is now set, we will be meeting at Burswood, Burswood Carpark, Closest to Gt Eastern Hwy, at 10:30am for an 11:00am departure. Please try to arrive early rather than late..... We will not be waiting around for stragglers. The map will now take us through the South of the river, Very scenic cruise, to Freo, then up to Claremont, Bold park, Subiaco and into Kings Park, Synergy Parkland for a BBQ / picnic, (BYO). I think that we will likely arrive at about 1-2pm. Anyone who is bringing children will love this area. (Great for big kids too!). We may still be doing a (simple) quiz and prizes. Can we please have a show of hands, to see how many maps are required etc. There will be at least 3 photo opportunities, so remember to bring your camera.
  11. Just thought that I'd let y'all know that the same weekend the Forrest Rally is on at Busselton, Collie and Nanup. 4th, 5th and 6th April. Accomodation might be hard to get (around Busso anyway).
  12. He wasn't thinking..... at all, it'll now be known as a Stupidroo! Oh well the cops weren't half as bad as they could have been. Thanks for a very cool Cruise. Pity you all didn't make it to the end..... there was a booze bus set up the car park and an endless procession of cops going form the bus (and about 5 cars) to Macca's. Not one of them said anything to us!! Ended up splitting at about 10:30pm. Great to see so many good cars.........glad to see most of the Commodores and Falcons stayed away. Hey I didn't know Australia Post used Skylines..... (Jokes) C Y'all next time. Thanks for staying behind me Chuckie.....you're a top bloke!
  13. Should be there..... pending argument with the manager of my sexlife..... Why don't most women like crusin'.... and sailing....and fishing..... and (lots of other things)? Now how does that Queen song go..... I'm in love with my Car (ar ar ar.....) Gotta feel for my automobile..... Getta grip on my Boy-Racer roll bar..... Such a thrill, when your radials squeel... Told my Girl I have to forget her Gotta buy me a new carburettor.... So she made tracks sayin' this is the end now! Cars don't talk back there just four-wheeled friends now...... When your depressed, can't drive, or can't get enough.... Cllick here!!
  14. WOT, you haven't sent them yet? No wonder they haven't arrived..... I was waiting on the shirts. Here is the easiest way...... I am going to print up the decals this week, and have some shirts ready for the AHG day..... Those that have ordered specific shirts, they will be there, I'll PM you how much dosh you need to bring. For Lil_booby... (oops) 100% cotton is best. The transfer will last about 3 years with "average" washing .... about 2-3 times a week. By that time, you probably A). Won't own a Stagea, B). Be sick of the shirt C). Put on weight and cant get into it anyway!! he he!! I am also gonna print up the stickers .... nominations for each state rep please. As Kylie suggested I will put up a price for the Iron-on's only. But really they need a flat press. It is possible with a normal iron.
  15. As promised my ideas on the Tiptronic after an Afternoon at AHG raceway. The tiptronic on it's own is still hard to master, mainly because (don't ask me why) the car is a little faster, in full auto. It revs higher and feels more responsive in the transmission. I used the tiptronic to hold the car through the bends (and it's a very tight twisty track) this was better for the corners as when I was coming of the gas the box wouldn't change up and then kick down again. The car was power sliding at the same time, and the AWD held everything in check very nicely. When I came onto a straight a put it back into auto it instantly picked up revs without changing gear. So it was then faster in Auto. As I said earlier the cars are just awesome. The tiptronic auto in my mind is propably better, (and I don't think any slower) than the manual. I ran out of puff in the car, mainly because the AWD sytem is so good and there just isn't enough power to beat it. It is extremely well balanced. As for the comment on tuning them. The auto version is quite tunable unless you want to go to extremes. Like I said before if you want that then maybe a 380hp Silvia (like I also got to drive today) is more in your line. I also drove a 1989 MR2, and that was pretty awesome too. A bit of an arm wrestle, but lots of fun. Still the Stagea in my mind is the best all-round package. MR2 = no back seat and no boot!!
  16. YEP +1 Good cruise, dunno what happened at the return through the Lagoon.... lots didn't get there. Felt sorry for (not on our cruise) R31 owner, got tapped by the "Old Bill" at the breathaliser point they'd set up. Just waived me and Chuckie through.... just 2 old guys in their wagons!! haha. Nice to see some new faces. Dogsun and I enjoyed our little cruise through Cottesloe and Freo after too. Nice to meet you Andrew, just have to put in your leave pass earlier next time. Thanks for the organisation A31Struck. Looking for the next one.
  17. Yeah Pity you all fudged out! Just me and the '68 Mustang to show the Commodories up. Actually it was quite a good run. Not too long. Some very nice twisty bits, and they were all fairly friendly. Try sticking around next time!
  18. Opinions are like..... and here's mine! I was going to buy a manual, but in the end I am glad that settled on the auto. I have said it before that the auto box isn't like any other. The control of it is very sophisticated, It adjusts the engine timing during shifting, which is why they backfire on changes. mine always does it flat out from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th. I have driven my car at Wanneroo in both auto and tiptronic. The tiptronic is a little hard, to get the hang of, because the down-shifts, and up-shifts don't always happen when you want or expect them to. I found it better to leave it in full auto and concentrated on my steering. I think that the car goes superbly for a 1700kg monster. I have also managed 14.99 1/4 mile. I don't really think that in manual form the car is any quicker. It would just feel like it is. Also to really need a full manual, you would have to be pushing it to the limits, and often. My advice is if you are buying a Stagea, opt for the auto, if you want a fast manual car, buy a GTR..... (of course price and space are very different). The only form that I really reckon that the manual would be better is in the RS260, which they all are, of course. Then you can have it all, (as long as you spend a shit-load on suspension, brakes and tyres). I am off to AHG raceway on Monday arvo, I'll try the tiptronic again, and see how it is. I think that it is good for holding gears and giving control, but not necessarily faster. The 4wd can cope with a little bit of weight transfer due the gear changes, even when they happen on bends. Once I gained full confidence in the car, there is only one word for the Stagea....Awesome!
  19. OK, ALL the T-shirts that I have are white, 100% cotton. I have 35 of them. 32 are XL, (which I can get on and I take size 97cm pants and weigh 100kg), I have only 3 XXL's they will go to the people that asked first. Sorry guys no black ones. Yes you can send me one. Postage will be the same for 2 as it is for 1. Express bags take up to 3kg. I don't mind dropping the Nissan logo, or changing things around, but as far as I am concerned once the shirts are gone, then I will only sell the decals on their own. I will also send the stickers with the shirts. I will PM you all with the payment details. John
  20. No problems Dale, I can put the Nissan logo on the front and back, add another $10.00 ($30 in all). OK, payment, we can only meet undercover of darkness, you bring the suitcase full of cash and I'll bring the stuff.......... I'll PM you with the payment details, if you want to pick-up, then cash is king! Are we allowed to use the Nisssan logo..... OK copyright is like this, Nissan are the owners of the logo, (no doubt about that) The logo can't be used without their permission.... BUT.... they also own the word Stagea.....so close the forum! We are not selling the shirts for profit, We are not trying to sell cars, with Nissan badges on that aren't Nissan's. We are all owners of the car, (or have been). They are getting free advertising. I don't think that they will be bothered by the production of a few shirts! We are not claiming them to be "Official Nissan Mechandise"..... so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Technically even the dealers can't use the Nissan logo on anything unless it is passed by Nissan. A lot of it isn't. I come across this daily. Mainly any large corporation is only going to interested in fraud, and exploitation of their brand. The Nisssan logo is out "in the public arena" quite widely these days. What we are doing is not going to upset anyone.....(maybe some "one"). By the way.... just as a side note, do you realise that if you copyright something and then give permission 3 times or more for someone to use it (without the copyright notice) then it can be deemed to be public property! The thing is they stuck their badge on MY car!! And that is enough about this!!
  21. Hi guys anyone who has been looking at the sticker post, knows about the T-shirts. But here are a couple of designs. One based on the S.W.A.T sicker, and the other based on the grill badge. Both of the T's will be produced by digital print, with ironed on material, (only way that I can do them). If any one wants to add a photo, of your car, wife, mother-in-law or anything else (legal), I will do it AT THE SAME TIME for only an extra $20.00 The T shirts are good quality but I only have X large sizes. (but they are not too big). I only have 35 of them in 100% cotton. So take your choice, or you can both designs on one shirt for $30.00. The T-shirts alone cost me $10.00 so we ain't out to make a killing just to cover the costs of time and materials. If anyone wants the designs altered... it can be done. If someone wants to send me a really good photo of the S2 grill badge, (watch the reflections) I can do that too. Postage will be charged to any state (other than WA) at $10.00 (express bag).
  22. Here is the last sticker that I am going to design. Vinyl and ink is cheap, but my time is strapped! I really reckon that the easiest (for me) is to just print 20 of each and send them to a nominated party in each state. Like I said before (Shayne) the WA ones are sitting in my car! We will then have Stagea stickers coming out of our exhausts. Sorry they will never become collectors items, they are too easy to reproduce!! I think (and you can disagree), that "STAGEA WEB AUSTRALIAN TEAM" covers everyone in every state. I vote that we leave the (very long, I know) web address there. Too many choices, I think.
  23. I thought is was Hroroshtrayreah! :laughing-smiley-014:
  24. Yep that's the size! (as per the original). PM me once you have the numbers for the address or go to my website, and get it from there. Maybe the best way to do this is to give me a number for each state and I'll send them to one person and they can give them out at runs. (or carry them around in their centre console like me, :laughing-smiley-014: ). Thanks Nick John
  25. Just so those of you who don't know, I have run a sign and printing business for the last 13 years. I taught myself graphic design. Sometimes I wonder why though!! I have all the equipment to do all of this. If anyone wants to see my work, then visit www.appealingsigns.com.au I don't want to make money out of this. But if you want t-shirts then I have some quite nice ones that I bought a few years ago just sitting around and will do them as a once only for $20 each + Postage. I can also produce the "STAGEA the comfortable yet (whatever it says) wagon for the ......" etc. If someone sends me the whole text. I have seen it on a few cars, but dont have it all. I reckon that this would go well on a T-Shirt too. I have the Stagea logo already reproduced a few different ways. I can make any sign, flags, Banners etc. We can even produce the bags for the boot space, BUT we are very busy. The stickers are really easy, and like I said have already been done. I don't want to produce just one or two of each though. I am happy to print 10 or so of each. All it's gonna cost you is a stamp (OK, two stamps). John
