Dyno Graphs Comparing Pfc Boost Controll Vs Blitz Idiii
WRRR replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Have one Spec R sitting here on the desk for $560 courtesy of a certain well known J shop starting with N - but now I feel a dill when I realised who asked the question. How many you have on the shelf? -
Radar and Laser "detectors" are legal for use in the state of Western Australia. They are treated as a radio receiver and as such are not specifically targetted under the telecoms act. No state government has let tabled specific laws against them. I would think with the Nazi approach to road rules, hoons, etc it will happen at some point although it has come to the pollies attantion previously and thrown out. Other states have have very specific laws banning them where even posession of one is an issue (let alone having it installed).

Guys Hoping you may be able to help with some background on SAU member "Metha", real name Steven Metha from Southport, Gold Coast. I am having a few issues around a trade done via SAU and before I jump to too many conclusions I was hoping anyone that knows of him might drop me a PM with info on where he is at etc. I am hoping (at this stage) he hasn't had an accident or similar which may explain why he is so hard to find. If anyone can shed light on this guy please let me know before I escalate the issue to mods, police, etc (or arrange a special visit as I know where he lives). Here's hoping. Cheers

Richard Looking at the HJC full face stuff. Can get an AR10 (white only) which is SA2005, removable/washable nomex liner, spare cheek and top pads available for $299 plus freight (say $60). Weighs about 3lb 8oz in large (from memory so don't quote me) Or HX10 (carbon fibre) which is as for AR10 but predrilled for Hans, carbon fibre for $720 plus freight. Weighs about 3lb in large. Or Si12 (white of matt black) SA2005, nomex liner (not removable), predrilled for Hans, composite for $560 plus freight. Weighs about 2lb 11oz. For my dainty little scone I need an XXL (~64cm) - never thought my head was that big. Maybe the Neanderthal seeping out because its cetainly not my driving skill inflating it. Tough choice as its that old "how much is safety worth" issue. Are you taking Friday off? If your interested I am heading up to Collie to catch up with Snowy and crew on the Dutton. Spare seat if you want it. Cheers Wayne

Stuart - that was a bit of my thinking as I have had to work with communal type BA gear and sometimes the chemicals would have to be safer than the masks. As this is hopefully a long term purchase being able to wash the liner (or replace it) would be handy. ctjet - thanks saw the other thread but it got whored and lost the plot - funny but lost. Great idea and I'll add to it when I make up my mind on the new helmet. I know helmet selection is very personal and each to their own but the washability and light weight does come at a price. Cheers

To the seasoned racers out there (or at least those who get out pretty regularly) I need some advice on the practicality of helmets. I have chosen two helmets that I think meet my needs in terms of full face, light weight, SA2005 certification and Hans but one has a removable, washable, replaceable liner and the other doesn't. The one with the removable liner is more expensive by about 25% (~$150) but is carbon fibre and very light (~1350g). The other is a composite and slightly heavier (about 150g) than the carbon helmet. Is the slightly lighter weight and removable liner worth the extra money. I am assuming I will sweat pretty well during events but do helmets dry out pretty well or do they get a bit friendly over time? Heart and pose value say carbon (they do look pretty good) but I could spend the extra dollars elsewhere if it is only ego that is driving the choice. Help please. Cheers

Pbr Rbf 600 Fluid Specs?

Yeah, but only a bit of lightish practice. Really didn't push to the limit but the feel seemed ok. Really need a sustained flogging to be sure. -
Pbr Rbf 600 Fluid Specs?
WRRR replied to wrxkilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I looked at the PBR stuff but exxy. Ended up using the Penrite Sin 600 and it seems to hold up as well as the Motul before it. A little bit saved. (if it really matters given the size of the hole I chuck money into) -
Sold! Thanks ladies and gents.

Yeah $60 posted and I'll take 10 and make some money on eBay. :laughing-smiley-014: The're between $85 and $88 delivered depending on who you go to (eBay, Nengun, etc). But I suppose you (and others) have got to try.

Replace the std cat with something decent then see if you need to change dumps. Std/compliance cat is a real strangler.

STD AFMs will be marginal (close to the top of the range) for your target. Check it out though as there is a fair bit of cash in new AFMs. Std cam gears are fine to almost any hp target (they wont break) but they do not allow you fine adjustment of cam timing. Adjustable cam gears will allow you to tweak the cam timing to say fatten up the mid range or get you on boost a little earlier (will depend on how good your tuner is and whether you want to pay for the time). Std cams seem to be the flavour of the month with some of the track guys. I have stayed with std cams and seem to pick up more mid range and lose a little up top compared to say 260 9.15 cams. I find that is a better compromise as a hp hero doesn't suit my use. 2860-5 and the HKS 2530 is very similar. I believe 2860-5 has a slightly smaller compressor wheel but there is only a poofteenth in it. 2860-5 can be had pretty cheaply brand new if you shop around. Once you get your extra hp then you will start looking at suspension to really use it all. Welcome to the world of empty wallets. lol.

Mark at Bunbury Tyre and Alignment is usually pretty helpful. John at Ultimate installed and aligned all my GTR suspension mods - coil overs, bushes, camber, caster, sub frame, etc. Looks like you have some choices.

Mark Haver a look here - www.propaneperformance.com. Nice tank system that is configuarable to the space. Cheers

Old Rubens - must have been twitching. Oops Great camera work

Yup that was my theory to. May have a dud as it will actuate (you can hear it working) sometimes and other times not. Wiring has been gone over and seems ok, solenoid fires on 12 volt, ..... Just lost confidence in it. Rather than risk a lean out due to overboost if it does play up another unit seems a safer option.

Anyone else? At this stage Profec B.
