Guys done the search but not a lot about pros and cons (just problems) Can anyone enlighten me on what they believe would be the best EBC for a GTR running twin -5s. Max boost will be 2 bar. I have been using a PFC EBC and am not happy with it so looking for an informed change. Thanks in anticipation.

Guys Sorry I bailed after the tunnel but I still had a fair drive to get home with the co-driver nodding off. Nice to meet some of the crew and have a bit of fun. Not good to hear about the grief on the way home. Were they still cleaning up the mess at Stakehill Road lights? 4WD had a bit of a bingle, Cops and Towies with half the road blocked. I had a good fast run when some nice fella in an old commonwhore decided he would run interference (and no doubt keep himself awake the way he was using all the road) for most of the dual cariage from Lake Clifton. Till next time. Cheers

Was going to suggest Brad at WA Suspensions they usually have them in stock. Wilkies would be worth a call as well.

Fog lights (or wanker lights) - bit like the budgie smuggler ad - there is a time and a place. On a personal basis sorry to hear you got fined; but in general YAAAY about time someone got pinged for having f...ing wanker lights on when there is no fog or no need. Those useless things just create a whole lot of glare for everyone coming at you and add naff all light to help you find your way around in the dark. Please guys if you have got fog lights - F O G - the light water vapour that condenses when you have warm moist air cooled down close to ground level, like a little cloud - not omfg I hope I look cool blinding everyone else on the road. Rant over!

Takin the piss Richard - I know how hard it can be to find something different when you are stuck in the boonies. I mean you could go down to Bunbury Plastics or then again maybe not. How's the t/case fix going?

There are a number of castable polyurethanes. Normally a 2 part mix and not hard to use. I have made a few rollers and such before in the backyard. Getting the right spec poly may be the tough bit for bushes. There is a mob in Armadale (yes WA Richard) called APT (Advanced Polymer Technology) who may be worth a call or ERA Polymers who are a supplier of polymers. Cheers

Whats The Correct Lph Output For A Bosch 040
WRRR replied to StOjA32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
From the Bosch Motorsport Fuel Pump Brochure 0 580 254 040 (Bosch 040), 102 l/h @ 6.5 bar 0 580 254 044 (Bosch 044), 200 l/h @ 5 bar 0 580 254 023 (Bosch 023), 168 l/h @ 5 bar (Rumoured to be the Nismo GTR upgrade pump) But "Bosch Fuel Pumps have their flow rates defined in N-Heptane as part of their engineering specification. N-Heptane is a pure chemical and does not have the same viscosity and density as standard petrol. Hence the N-Heptane flow rate figures stated should be used as a general guide for comparison purposes only." Other info I have gathered: (fwiw) 0580254040 (040) Specs: 040 Flows 235LPH Supply voltage 13.5V Current consumption 13A Weight 930g Internal pump (only) Connections: Intake side M18 x 1.5 Pressure side M12 x 1.5 Electrical +:M6 / -:M5 Bosch Part Number - 0580254044 (044) Specs: 044 Performance Operates: 325 LHP Supply voltage 13.5V Current consumption 13A Weight 1030g external pump (recommended) Connections: Intake side M18 x 1.5 Pressure side M12 x 1.5 Electrical +:M6 / -:M5 For reference: (via SK) Std GTST pump is 135 litres per hour and supports 300 bhp at standard pressure Std GTR pump is 190 litres per hour and supports 420 bhp at standard pressure Bosch 910 pump is 200 litres per hour and supports 450 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 910 Bosch 975 pump is 228 litres per hour and supports 500 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 975 Bosch 984 pump is 228 litres per hour and supports 500 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 984 Bosch 040 pump is 235 litres per hour and supports 520 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 040 Bosch 044 pump is 330 litres per hour and supports 730 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 044 Hope it all helps. You don't mention what you have for a fuel system. With your mods you can pretty well go where you like if you can get sufficient fuel and a clutch that will hold up. Have a scan through the RB26 mods list and you will get a good idea but for ~320 rwkw you will probably need bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump and run anywhere from 1 to 1.4 bar to get your target depending on who is tuning it.

Inlet leaks will often give you an up and down idle as well. (ie on idle no boost NA so sucks air, on boost +ve pressure bleeds air performance down) Grab a can of Aerostart and with car idling starting at the turbs spray each of the joints in the pipework moving towards your inlets. If the engine revs rise on spraying you have your leak (or one of them). As for fixing the inlet leak, pulling off intake etc is a pita due to all the little pipes and shit under the plenum that you can't get to (unless you have little hand/arms and a few special tools) so almost always an engine out job. If you are going that far have a think about checking/replacing your turbs and ..... and .... and .... bingo $10k later she's all good.

Go have a look in Group Buys.

Quick suggestions if you are really keen on a big cruise. 1. Think again why and if it is worth it. 2. Organise it well with the main meet point on private property or at an owner approved site (don't use public car parks as you become a nuisance to surrounding businesses and give legitimate reason for attention by law enforcement). 3. Make it for a real cause and raise real money or gifts (gold coin doesn't cut it. A few hundred dollars raised isn't going to buy any good will). Advertise the fact, sponsorship, media, etc. 4. Have multiple routes to keep the groups on the road smaller - less attention, less inconvenience to joe public, harder to police all groups. 5. Keep it to clubs and make sure each club is responsible for their people and actions - accountability. 6. Have some clear way of identifying cruise members (visible stickers front and rear or such) to try and stop the hangers on and make ID clear if someone misbehaves etc. 7. Remember the actions of one or two dickheads is going to cause a world of pain for everyone else and you can be sure will be beat up in the press and keep the pits really busy. 8. Talk with police liaison and be professional about it. They may even help ala the Princess Margaret Hospital toy run, etc. 9. Refer to 1. Good luck and have fun but I'm with Strich9 - don't need the grief that some tool will bring down on the group. But put me down for a donation if you get it all together.

Sorry about dragging up an older topic but where does the opinion lie if you had the old GTRs up to scratch with new suspension etc and similar power to the new R35. After all it doesn't take that much work to bring a RB26DETT up to around 300kw at the wheels. Would the difference be as great? (personally I think not - Same result but not by so much). Interesting comparo but the result was hardly unexpected given the vehicles used and the fact they were hardly pristine examples.

Search is your friend but - and at the risk of missing something vitally important S1 black headlight look, blue accent trim S2 Chrome headlight look, diff steering wheel, dual airbags opt S3 Xenon headlight, dual airbag std, diff (lower) front lip, N1 holes in bumper, red stitching on trim/steer wheel, fuse box has GTR on it, 1 reverse light, rear wiper, stronger syncros, diff bell housing (vents in the top sides), red accent trim

Have alook in the for sale section one of the guys had a -10 fitting that fits into one of the welch plugs for oil return. Cheers

Drop SK a PM he will give you the ins and outs. Note though doing it properly is going to hurt the wallet. I have gone as per djr81 with a bilstein coilover arrangement but for a 33 (not 32) with different shock valving and 5 front 4 rear Eibach springs. Desired handling is slightly more towards allrounder (road on street rubber and track on semis) but more F caster and more F and R camber than for a typical road set up. Only just gone in but initial impressions are positive. drj81 has been progressively updating his for quite a while (how's the transfer case Richard??)

If you are looking for Skylines just trawl through the for sale section here. Lots of options. Knowing what you want and your budget will help. Tyre kickers are usually not appreciated

Why Isnt 1 Gallon Of Redline Shockproof Enough?
WRRR replied to 02_FNE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
More than 1 US Gallon. If you grab another quart bottle you should be ok. -
Expiry Date?
-
Pretty well what levinet said but I think you will find if the car is from a dealer you can get away with 3 months on the eastern states plates before the transfer is required. Stamp duty to be paid in WA. Also be very careful buying privately (or even from dealers) check REVS and the written off register in the state of interest, make sure all the VIN/engine/chassis and import numbers all add up and do a FAST check on this forum to make sure it is as it should be from the factory. Unfortunately there are a lot of dodgy cars and characters out there. Good luck

Rb26 Removal With Box Attatched?
WRRR replied to ali-turko's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I can only speak for a 33 GTR but you can get the engine and box in together going over the top. You need to make sure you have a chain block close coupled (don't just try and use the engine lifter) and fit a come-along or similar with a soft sling around the gearbox to allow you to tilt it as required. It is definitely not a one man job but can be done with some help (mine went in and out about 4 times making sure the custom top pipes fitted). Cheers -
R34GTFOUR (see for sale thread) has a second hand 023 on R33 Bracket in Perth - buy? (edit) If you're only after 350rwhp the simplest/cheapest would be a GTR pump (drop straight in). or Antimatter (see for sale thread) had a second hand Tomei for sale that is the 276 l/hr drop in upgrade. At 350 rwhp a 040 will be enough but needs a bit of fiddling about as does the 023 which will give you 276 l/hr (heaps) $ vs stuff around. Or go 044 with surge pot and pick up the advantages of a swirl pot and heaps of delivery but more $

Assuming we're taking RB26dett - standard drains do have a bend to them. Options for the 2860-5 is to round out the holes on the standard ones to fit or use like you show with possibly a new or altered hose. Cheers

In the world of advertising who knows. Have a look here http://www.gruppe-s.com/SSR/SSR_TypeC.htm http://www.gruppe-s.com/SSR/SSRTypeCRS.htm When I weighed my GT7H they were about 9.4kg in 18x9.5 5/114.3 +21. The Type C and Type C RS are definitely lighter (and more expensive).
-
Roy the Type C are pretty light Info I have is 17x8.5 5/114.3 +40 6.75kg 18x9.5 5/114.3 +15 8.1kg Based on my SSR rims I would say these are correct. Cheers

Try eBay. I got some Brembo stickers from there before. Or if you take a good photo with dimensions one of the sticker places can copy them just make sure you get high temp material.
