  1. If Fords were 2 stroke at least then they'd have a reason to blow smoke from the factory floor..... you are such a tool.
  2. Here Here! My bike would beat all of them.... I'm going to WSID to run my bike tomorrow night i've run an 11.3@122mph so far. Just got it jetted and tuned 120hp at the wheel not bad for a 15yo 900. If I can drop my 60 down to 1.7 from 1.9 hope to hit high 10s! Also going to try out a new secret weapon to help bring the times down. If anyones going tomorrow night i'll be lined up with a Black and Maroon Honda Fireblade ,its very old, but come and say hello. Cheers
  3. You guys should come out to the Dent Day that SL!M is organising theres a thread in this section, I'll be working there with one of my work colleagues and maybe my boss.
  4. I just mentioned that at the time the R32 was around if you compare it to a car of its era(VP- VR- VS 5 litre SS') the GTR wipes the floor with them, however, the latest model SS is very close when compared to the R32, the AWD is what gives the GTR the bigest advantage as you can get it off the line alot easier than the VE SS. This post started out with a guy asking if his stock 32GTR would beat a VE SS. I just said it would be close, as the VE has come along way. MBS206 is Duncans R32 stock or does it have a few mods? If its close to standard and beats the VE ss then the question is answered! Argument sorted.
  5. The car will be wholesaled, if the car is not in the same condition as when inspected then the dealership has the right to reduce the amount of the trade value. That a side, many times have I been told thw wholesaler just need to get it on the tilt tray, make it so the car drives onto the tilt tray... 30 metres or so.... they are the longest 30 you ever experience Once I had a 318i that cooked when it was loaned out to a customer without a checkover, it made it like 2 ks from the dealership, we got sent out to drive it back they didn't want to pay for a tilt tray so it was "Drive it till it stops". Got about 1 k back then the bottom end started knocking it got louder and louder until screechhhhhhh engine locked up! So much fun to be told to drive a car till it explodes! Cheers
  6. I believe this post started talking about a stock SS and a stock R32 GTR.
  7. Thats a bit short sighted when you consider drive-train losses of an AWD vehicle not to mention the tremendous amount of torque the SS has. I reckon it would be very close over the quarter. Don't get me wrong the r32 was king in its day and would most definitely wipe the floor with VR and VS SS commodores but its 20 years old. 270kw and 530 NM of torque is nothing to sneeze at and as hard as it is to admit it holden has come a long way in its development of the VE. I'd love to see a race around a track between the 2.
  8. I was just referring to the fact that pixel8r said that, Therefore it is quite relevant.
  9. EGR- exhaust gas recirculation is to reduce oxides of nitrogen in emissions it is on a heap of cars and it only works when the car is at cruise throttle openings with the engine at operating temp. The amount of exhaust is only around 5% of total mixture though nothing like the DEI system schmatics previously posted.....
  10. Diesel engines have a higher thermal efficiency than petrol equivalents and it (diesel) is a BI-PRODUCT of the refinement of petrol! With the new technology in DPF's (Diesel Particulate Filters) the soot emitted from the vehicles is reduced as well as diesels having catalytic converters to reduce oxides of Nitrogen and Sulphur making them much more eco/green than petrol engines! Using Bio-diesel futher reduces the output of these chemicals. Using LPG gas on diesel cars has amazing results increasing the level of complete combustion from around 80% to over 95%, reducing hydrocarbons and soot build up in the engine oil not to mentions the increase in power and torque. Diesel gas combination is quite impressive Recent break through's in Lithium-Ion batteries have produced the technology to be able to charge a battery up to 100 times quicker than the current examples, which would simplify the problem of high amp rapid charge electric cars struggled to overcome. LPG still produces NOx and the effects are well documented, Ozone depleting, carcinogenic and smog are just a few. LPG is up there on clean fuels but with the reduction in RON of LPG drive ability has gone out the window when compared with days of old(if power output is your goal). The new LPG injection systems they use today are very impressive.
  11. Generally tree branches cause pretty sharp dents so its(roof lining) probably going to need to come out, we can glue pull some dents, however, using tools to push the dents out is faster and gives a better finish. We'll check it out on the day, if it needs to come out I'm sure there will be plenty of willing helpers to get it out. When I say pulled out, I mean all we need is the lining dropped down it doesn't have to be pulled from the car unless you want to strip it out and drive the car there without it in. Once the dent is repaired, if there is minor damage to the paint(usually there are some scratches or the paint can be squashed where it impacts) we can't fix that. We can give it a cut and buff to reduce the scratch but there will always be a very minor mark, you probably won't be able to see it but we are very particular about our work and always want it to be 100%. Again this will all be explained before we begin the repair. Cheers Matt.
  12. Always makes me smile. Don't forget your hair dryer, magnets and special ball bearings either..... oh and a magic wand 99% of the time we can fix door dents without having to remove any trims, if its in a difficult spot there's a chance we may need to pull the trim off, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Cheers Matt
  13. What would you say dent was the size of....? 20 cent 50 cent piece? What colour is your car?
  14. Money transferred, application snail mail. I'm hoping to offer my services to SAUNSW members at a discount rate, I am a PDR (Paintless Dent Removal)Technician, formerly a Mechanic, avid car and motorbike fan. Don't have a Skyline anymore have had 2 an r31 and an R33 GTS-T. Sorry to see them both go, the 33 due to mortgage (wife.... shhhhh ), the R31 to sell to a friend who decided to run his own crash test.... I do have a CBR900RR Fireblade, its plenty fast to keep me in trouble. Cheers Matt.
  15. Not trying to pick a fight nickperth, but its attitude like that that get us all in trouble. You can't tar em all with the same brush. Your best bet in this situation is to try and get as many character references off people to say that this behavior is unusual and out of character for you. A good driving record and attitude go a long way. You should ask to have the case adjourned so that you can attend the (i think this is what its called) traffic offenders course/scheme. After you complete the course (about 8 weeks) go back to court and hope for the best, legal representation will go a long way here, if you give an acceptable reason as to why you need to keep your license that will contribute to the outcome being a better one. As for trying to prove that the officers using the lidar were incorrect. I got some info of someone in the know and they informed me that many if not all magistrates in NSW attended a course on how to use the LIDAR correctly, its my understanding that the training takes up to a year to complete (correct me if I'm wrong) for the officers to be competent! Trying to prove the officers wrong is not a good defence at all. You admitted to speeding so your best chance is trying to have the charge reduced. Hope this helps.
  16. ...well your the one with the picture of the cartoon car so there... kidding
  17. Seriously not taking a shot at you, but, in the end you gave up and I know you can't make them run the prints, or make the labs hurry up, giving up is not the answer and this is why so many people can't be bothered fighting, everything takes time but that doesn't mean you should just give up. It took 5 court dates and over 8 months till my case finally got dealt with. For the record, I Didn't call you a name genius, only put forward a statement which you happily claimed as your own, that being the title of Idiot. Sweet Dreams Babycakes.
  18. Oh come on sweet heart don't get upset now, cupcake. I didn't mention anything about your car accelerating, you said it would be doing 170-180(if I get traction). what you're trying to say is that your car has enough power to break traction in 4th gear at 140+km/h. Of course a car needs traction to accelerate, however, you were implying that your car is an out and out monster capable of spinning the tyres at any speed in any gear. I'm going to stop posting after this one as it seems you've run out of intelligent things to say and are resorting to swearing and insults( which confirmed my suspicions of your status as an idiot). I'm glad that go on defending the excuses and the incompetence of the police handling your stolen vehicle, you must be really happy with their customer service skills! Keep on trucking pal.
  19. So your story about knowing who it was that stole the car and having finger prints is a steaming pile of crap, you keep changing the facts. Quote "I know for a fact my setup I run now leaves me doing around 170 - 180 KM/H now (If I get traction)" now you change that story too! If we put the traffic cops into general duties and detective positions maybe then they'd solve some crimes. This is getting old fast arguing with you. My mother always said not to argue with idiots, they'll only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience! Take care Matt.
  20. Yeah and I hate the OH&S that I have to put up with compared to 10 years ago, but its part of my job and everyone else's, thats life. In regards to the fingerprints, another Half assed attempt by the police. They're happy to hide out in bushes with lidars etc, hand out fine after fine then when it comes down to actually doing some police work that will lead to an arrest its straight into the too hard basket. They'll fight to the end to see you buried for a traffic offence, 8 hours spent at court, but won't follow through on a real crime because of paper work thats a laugh. Its a prime example of why people get frustrated with the lack of effort placed into Break and Enters, stolen cars etc. Wow no traction in 4th gear at 170+km/h you must really be pumping out the horses!
  21. Police were never allowed to hit people, its just that 20 years ago nobody said anything. 20 years ago Indigenous people were treated as second class citizens, and still are today, which is why you never heard anything about it. The police only have their predecessors to blame for this, due to all those 'beatings' you keep referring to. I don't think too many police officers care about paperwork, its just part of the job. Its funny to hear you support the police when, by losing the fingerprints that would convict the person responsible for stealing your car, you complain about their rights again, I say incompetence. I also find it ironic that you dismiss any harassment claims made by the indigenous population in your community against the police, yet when wacky dee claims to have been wrongly accused you want to throw the book at him. You seem to be very biased towards police being correct all the time and everybody else a bunch of liars. If the claims made by the police are to be taken seriously it is only fair that claims against them be taken seriously as well.
  22. Wow! Maybe we should grab little kids when they've done something wrong and beat them too! Who are the police to decide whether or not someone is guilty, thats what the courts are for! It's not the police that are taking our rights away they are only doing their job, it is out of touch politicians who make laws to win votes that are taking away our rights! Politicians make laws, Police enforce them and Judges/Courts interpret theses laws, this is called the Separation of powers and is the basis of our society that no one group holds all the power! "people can take anything on and argue it" Yes that's what a democracy is pal. If you want to be told how to live you should move to communist China. "The coppers have lost their rights I say" Haven't you ever met a dodgy cop, or maybe you are one! When my car was impounded that meant I was automatically guilty according to the officer, making him 'Judge, Jury and Executioner', when the matter went to court and was dismissed on lack of evidence I still had to take the fines and loss of car even though I was not guilty. Innocent until proven guilty was a long way off. Even when a court of law found a member of NSWHP incorrect I still had to pay for his mistakes with that particular piece of legislation having clause to protect them (NSWP) from being liable for costs when I was found not guilty! If you want to beat up on people to teach them a lesson I say that makes you a criminal MBS206! I'm not saying to fight it just for the sake of it, I was in no way guilty the officer had no speed read out to confirm his estimations and if I had of given in to his bullying I may have been arrested on the spot! I stuck to my guns told the truth and in the end thats why I wasn't charged. One more thing MBS206, if you had a party at your house and cops were called and recreational drugs were found on your premises, the police can execute a Covert Search Warrant (can enter your house without your permission at ANY time!) and not have to inform you of such activities for up to 3 years( in some states)! I don't know about you but that sounds like police have plenty of rights to me even if they've got to fill out a few forms! I've got nothing to hide, however, it used to be that your house was your Castle, well not anymore. In the state of NSW there has been a Royal Commission every 10 years for more than 3 decades investigating corruption in the NSW Police Force. Every time they have made findings against the Police Force. I have plenty of mates who are Police Officers and fine upstanding members of the community, its a shame that not all are like them, good and bad in every bunch.
