Hello, I have a 1998 Skyline R34 and need a spare key cut. I've been to kiosks in shopping centres, then locksmiths. But as yet no-one can copy the key. The last locksmith I tried told me I need to call Nissan Motor Co. and buy the blank key from them, then take it to the locksmith to get cut. Is this correct? Anyone else done this, or had it done another way? Thanks.

@ Lukebaldan "By the same process, they should ban all motor sport depicting fast/dangerous driving. " The Advertisement was for a tangible product, not selling a sport. @ 180Roman "so based on what the gov thinks, " The Ad was taken off air because a complaint was made to the Australian advertising watchdog. Its not the Government's ruling. Any member of the public are free to make complaints about advertisements in Australia to the industry watchdog, which are then passed on to the advertiser. Its then up to the advertiser to withdraw the ad after consideration of their company's perceived image, or depending on the findings of the watchdog, a fine may be imposed or even a forced withdrawal. There's an industry website where all campaigns under scrutiny can be viewed (but I forget the web address). Its interesting to see all the past campaigns which have been withdrawn.... remember the Hyundai ad from a few years back with the baby driving? Well, turns out that baby was shown unrestrained, and therefore projected a bad image to potential child Senna wannabes.... I'm not joking here, its true. As for the billboard ad at St Kilda Rd intersection, that does not show a car actually falling under what the complaint was made about (wheelspinning). So it may stay, depending on the company's integrated marketing communications plan (if it fits in with the rest of its communications). Anyway, enough marketing crap from me.

Hi Guys, I'm hoping to get a set of clear winkers for side and front, but cant bring myself to pay the prices ppl are asking in Aus. I looked around Autobacs, Yellow Hat and Monte Carlo, etc. and Osaka Auto Messe in Feb. but all didn't have R34 sets on the shelf. (well actually Uras did, but I didnt have 17,000 yen to buy a pair of front winkers at the time) So, I've found after market side sets for around 4300yen at Yellow Hat and Autobacs which take one week to order into store. But, what do genuine sets sell for? I cant find them in Club Nismo online as an available part, and assuming I need to go to a service centre to enquire. Can anyone suggest where I can send my Mother-in-law to buy them for me? Thanks in advance.

You definitely don't want to combine snow and Nismo Fest... That's what it was like in 2005. It really sucked cos all these special cars were just sent on parade laps, and some didn't even come out of the garage (things like the open top Grand Prix cars of the '60's). And of course, no smoke or high speeds for the drift exhibition match. But anyway it was an incredible experience. And thanks to the chaps of R31 House who drove us there and back.

Hey! You work in f*kuyama? Wow, how did I miss you? I lived there from July 2005 till September 2006. Sleeper ET also lived there too, around the same time. I married a local, and I'm back in town once a year. Maybe we should catch up next time I come over? We should exchange PM's instead of taking over this thread. There could be some knowledge we can share... Sleeper ET and I scanned the area for tuning shops, circuits... everything. Michael.

just a note, if you've gone to f*kuyama, you've gone too far. Get off at Okayama and local train it!... but hey you're already there. Its really in the middle of nowhere, and as sleeper et said, we had to hitchike there one time.... it was for F3 racing.

Cefilo, The days have passed, and you're now married. Did you have a modern Japanese wedding or at the Shrine? When I was married there 3 years ago, I wanted the Shrine, but they could not dress me in kimono long enough, and I didn't understand enough of the religious vows so I thought it would be phony of me. Are you still living in Japan?

Thanks, you're such a nice bloke. Looks like now I've got my weekend filled with fun! Goodbye tacky paint.

In my car, the grey plastic trim around the window switches, centre console, and guage pod is quite sticky in hot weather. Is this common in R34's, or has the previous owner re-painted them with a poor quality paint? Thanks.

Hey, I've checked over the wheels, and I just cant find a number for offset. Its a bit frustrating for me. Give me a call. Oh, and they are actually 6.5 wide, not 6 as mentioned at the top. -

Iron chef, If had known you were going I'd like to have met you. I should have posted earlier.

The only 32 of note was Endless's drag car; I noticed Motec in a few serious cars... good old Australian inventions! And yeah, GTS4WD, I like Ken too. He's the reason I bought a sliver ER34 sedan.

URAS ER34; Ken asked me to kneel on the floor for this photo; Trial Tuning Sports` carbon parts for CBR35; 2008 Super GT winning #23 car; Imgine driving one of these mirror balls at night... it would blind everyone with bling! Some of the European car selection; A couple of VIP style Cimas, and one of the many vans set out like mobile loungerooms;
