  3. Does anyone know what group base oil Royal Purple use? i have been reading their site but its seems more like marketing then technology? the API rating is V bad. I have always been a penrite man but after reading this thread and many others it seems the sin 5 is too thick for the RB26, I have purchased RP 10-40 but am starting to think i should have just stuck with a proven performer i.e M1 Cheers Damien.

  15. As above, I just purchased a R33 skyline GTR and am a little confused about what turbos I am using. I was under the impression that they would have been N1 but when I was fiddling around with the car today I thought I may as well confirm my suspicions. All I could find was: Garret A/R 42 M26 on both front and back (from what I could see) Now after a quick search all I concluded is that they may be the stock items BUT (this is where the plot thickens) I have a dyno graph for 305rwkw on only 1 bar (15psi of boost) which to my knowledge is impossible on the stock items? (I could be wrong) What do you guys think? What have I got or don’t got? Thanks in advance, Damien.

  17. G day guys im currently considering getting a R32 GTR and am trying to get as much info as possible atm. This forums is so overwhelmingly big that at times its difficult to know where to look or post so here goes 1) why do some GTRs have black engine bays? Does a back engine bay mean the car has had a re spray? or are there some models that were released like that? 2) what date GTR has the revised crank collar? I have read that late 92 was the official cut off for the older style engine but i doubt the source. Can anyone give a accurate answer? for the moment these are my major questions but im sure there will be a load more to come if i join the GTR powah! thanks again.
  18. Oh gosh, i was/ am currently looking for a neat r32 GTR but after reading this i dont think i want one anymore. The frightening thing is that even the helthy cars sound like they are blowing! What chance does one have of purchasing such a car and driving it how they like? There is such a array of monor problems that end up being fatal, it seems impossable to drive a car of this calaber with confidence. So far things to check: Newish turbos Regular servicing Oil pressure Fuel pressure Any thing els???? I got a heavy foot and love to have a good time but not at this expense. Looks like a trip back to the mitsus for me.
  19. Consider trade for a pug 205 gti+ significant cash ajustment? It is a 91model and is in great nick, best handeling car you will get on the lower side of 10K and deff the most fun. would be looking for a 6k trade off for it tho.
