ClubMotavate Show and Shine thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sh...09-t291844.html Yeah dude, feel free to shoot me the PM. I was with the JustAce kids, they had a red/black R31 skyline there. I spent most of my time in the white evo filming

Yeh, but Mandurah is only Mandurah. Its like going to Barbagallo Raceway from Perth city. Or Kwinana motoplex from Osborne Park. So not that far. Also with the new freeway extension it will be very quick to get to Mandurah. Bubba, they will not really mind the grass getting trenched There is also the train for spectators. 45 mins from Perth city and there is a bus that goes to the Foreshore = where the show and shine is held Edit: Bus/train info

Definitely start the EOI, I will be happy to help set up and organise some of this if needed. But yeh, the Club Motavate Show and Shine is going to be pretty big. You guys should definitely enter is you are interested.

Yeh, why not change that up a bit. SAUWA was big in like 05 with silWA combined cruises and stuff. I don't mean to be rude, but the guys who run SAUWA have moved on a bit, we need some new blood for the club, and to run a few more car related events. They still do cruises which is good. Go kart days are still happening. AHG/RAC skidpan days happen a fair bit. A few more drag days etc would be good.

Definitely do an EOI for Motorvation seeing as GTST VSPEC gave that the go ahead. See who is interested. Its a car show with lots of driving events available, doesn't mean you have to do them. Even if its a bit of a waste. As said, we would need 6+ members definites. Heaps of people apply and then get told by 10th of December if they are giving a month gap between that and the show to orgainse the club display. Motorvation entry is a weird as for the last few years a V6 commodore with rims and lowered springs got picked over 400hp etc Skylines, supra's, silvia's. Due to what their taste at the motoplex. But like a R34 with standard body kit still looks killer. Just have nice wheels, lower car and neaten up the engine bay and interior. Worth a shot.

Thats not the case. I am entered with a certain car club with 7 skylines for motorvation. Its a club comprised of imports who want to stick it to the bogan V8 at MV. Its moreso which friends/people group you want to hang with. Clubs like antilag have a fair number of skylines and enter MV consecutively, but associate more so with antilag crew. MV entry's close in a couple of months (Nov 30), the early bird finished on 30th of Sept. So there is heaps of time. Its just whether you get enough interest, and a strong start. Like if 3-5 SAUWA senior members entering their great skylines, then others will follow. Silwa had a huge entrant number at power cruise, which was really impressive and their previous MV entrys were very good too.
  7. Pretty tidy lil setup. I wonder is it has the safe guard features like alarm or grounding if you run too much boost. Keen to hear how it performs
  8. No offense monga, but I reckon turbosmart bleed valves are rubbish, same with dual stage and electronic ones from them. Its Australian product which isn't as good as the Jap stuff. The turbosmart ones run on bleeding off a certain amount of pressure to make ur wastegate feel less pressure, hence open later, hence make boost. This means the amount of air will be different in 1st to 4th gear, cold nights, hot days. So it can creep and spike hard. The ball and spring ones have the spring to minimize pressure being bleed off unnecessarily and the adjustment is quite good. They are dirt cheap being and simple. For under 30$ to ur door they work a treat. Had a GFB manual, Turbosmart manual and turbotech manual, AEM electronic. Turbotech was the best by far for manual ones. In regard to a workshop telling you to electronic. Of course electronic is best, but its expensive and they make a profit so they will advise you to buy one. I have mates with EBC's which still spike and creep, so be careful either way. If you are bumping boost up by 3-6 psi then the turbotech is best money for value and more reliable than bleed ones like GFB and turbosmart. There is a how-to thread about getting a R33 GTST to run 9psi the whole time instead of 6 psi then 9 later in rev range. Simple earthing or similar.
  9. No no no no. don't by turbo smart. They suck, they spike, creep and bleed off badly. Get a turbo tech one from ebay for like 22$ +7.50 postage. They are ball and spring and work a treat. DO IT

  12. Hey guys. I got myself some R32 GTR side skirt thinking they would fit a GTS(-T). But seeing as GTR's have flared front and rear guards they don't, there is gap. Now I was wondering. Is it possible to mod the GTR side skirts so that they can fit onto the GTS? Seeing as they are stock plastic/rubber not fibreglass. Like could you use a heat gun to bend them in to shape and then sikaflex them on? Has anyone done it or heard of it being done? Cheers Berny
  13. Good cruise. No cop trouble. Was good to meet a few new people. ^^ Haha, the antilag cruise that followed us to cit of Stirling, that was funny
  14. Just a quick update on how it works. They now have how to videos on the site to explain it all to you. Scramble Boost: (SCb - 10.0) Off as I don't need a NOS/scramble boost function Set the scramble boost duty cycle output. Not Needed Scramble Boost Time: (SCr - 0.00) Not Needed Select the duration of time (0-25.5 seconds) Spring Pressure: (SPr – 2.00) 5 psi spring on stock turbo Boost Setting A: (AXX – A10) 50% duty cycle give me 12psi form
  15. Turbo tech manual boost controller around 35$ delivered to ur door from ebay. Some electronic boost controllers still creep or spike. So save ur money and get the cheap ball and spring one. Not like the plain bleed manual ones. They suck. Otherwise get a profec B if you are running a bigger turbo
  16. Its also my 21st, won't be legal to drive, far too paralytic. Combined DD with DD, ouch. Should be an awesome weekend though, parklife and the footy GF.
  17. oh hai, i needz some thread for my skyline to go ova da pitz. got a yellow stika for doing teh brunouts Good idea though. STICKY IT
  18. Gratz on getting a R34. Nice one. Welcome to the world of skylines and the money pit that is car modification. http://nissanskyline.6te.net/tuning_GTT.htm Link that tells you what mods you need in what order for power.
  19. Ended up going Here is a vid for the guy with the 32
  20. Got one yesterday, now I can sleep like a baby.
  21. horrible rain tomoro, not going
  22. Fishy: Thread should read Whaley. Yeh, I reckon you need some mechanical knowledge to see if a car's engine or box has been trashed. Respray. What does it matter, the newer a paint job the better. Unless it was done on a budget in a back yard. If you are willing to pay for a mint, stock 33 then go to a place like fab car or imports 101. They will sort you out
  23. Check the forced inductions forum, have a look, or use search function. Depending on what engine you have and car. Like you can use a R32 RB25DE head and add a turbo to it. Or a R33 RB25DET head. I wouldn't bother with the RB26DETT head. Too expensive and only necessary for huge power.
