Don't know if you guys have your exhausts yet but... After negotiating an absolute bargain M35 for my mate, it arrived this morning... WITH A FUJI LEGALIS FITTED! Sounds fantastic, nice quiet deep burble on idle and a very nice sound when opened up - only a fraction louder than the stock exhaust. I took a quick vid with my digital camera but I am having trouble uploading for some reason. It is pretty average quality but if you want me to send you the file, PM me your email address & I will send it tonight.

Thanks guys. Actually, after the first "big name/rip off" workshop farted around with it for 2 days (and tried to bill me a rediculous amount of money for removing the front pipe), I decided to take it to RE Customs (who were very good with the car and have excellent customer service). Brad & Michael got the turbo out without removing the engine and sent it iff to have it hi-flowed. All steel internals used (T3 core) and it has not missed a beat since. Just to let you know, the turbo shed some unwanted ceramic and needed new internals possibly due to the overly restrictive nature of the "compliance" exhaust which came on the car. The exhaust has had no less than 4 cats removed from it (the factory cat is the only one to stay)! Can't wait for my Fuji exhaust.... any day now

Hey guys If you are interested in translated workshop manuals for either model Stagea, please register your interest here; http://www.jpnz.co.nz/afawcs0131170/CATID=...1/products.html They do require around 150 requests and are looking at around $100NZD per manual if those numbers are achieved. Cheers.

Awww c'mon Andy... You know as well as I do that without those SK Swaybars, our girls hate hugging corners. Also, I may need 3 DVD's... I just negotiated a bargain for my mate's M35.
-
The M35 is the Stagea - historically a wagon based on a skyline chassis. The most common m35's in Aust run a VQ25DET and AWD instead of the N/A VQ35DE & RWD of the v35 Skylines. You can see the rear end in my info. For more info, check here; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...fo-t185569.html Beautiful car.. and it has a bit of go too as my mate (v35 owner) found out...

Hi Andy I am definately interested in one, possibly two copies (mate owns a v35).

I have just spoken to Tony @ Northshore. He gave me the part number NI22401-AQ816 and made it clear that only this plug should be used. Also spoke to NGK (part # LFR6AP-9), "It is not on our system, it is not a plug we bring into the country". Talk about helpful customer service... Nissan ferntree gully have ordered them 10-12 days... $23.20ea... yep, it adds up but it least they should last 100,000kms.
-
Out of curiosity, what is the part number for the spark plugs? I have been given 3 different numbers for m35 spark plugs from Nissan dealers (and for some reason, FAST doesn't like me at the moment).

Yup. Those are the ones I liked for mine as well... have you checked the price?... OUCH!!

M35 Boost - Why Does It Take So Long?

I don't know what a "normal" turbo outlet is but this is what the vq25det turbo outlet looks like... -
This is something that is at the top of my list. I have a workshop that will be looking at mine in a couple of weeks. I will be going to straight LiLPG. If you can wait unitl then, I should have an answer for you. Can't see why not though...
-
I have just spoken to Hilbert at Australian Lpg Warehouse. He said that the LiLPG systems will be in the country within the next couple of weeks. Being that I travel over 800km's every week... Can't wait to see what can be done with the m35.
-
No idea (sorry to disappoint), but mine has started doing it too. Only when travelling at 110kph or more. If I sit on 100kph, I don't have the shudder. No noise, sort of feels like the engine leans out. Very weird. I am not 100% sure that it s transmission as it feels like it is coming from around the front axle... perhaps. Anyone else have this or know about it?

Help Me,my Stag Is Eating Me Alive

Yeah mate. Call RE Customs in Springvale/Clayton 9548 3414. http://www.recustoms.com.au/ I live in Pakenham & take my M35 there (they did my Hiflow turbo) and they are pretty bloody cluey. They do ALOT of work on Nissan imports and know their stuff. Good guys as well. Small outfit that take pride in what they do. Ray is the owner there, but I have mainly have Michael & Brad working on my car.... Really good blokes. -
Hi guys. Might be interested in a quick (or not so quick) look at this site. http://www.fujicorporation.com/eng/ Select your car at the top (just under ONLINE SHOPPING - in orange) Finish the other selections Just click in the first wheel that comes up & then select "CHECK THE FITTING IMAGE" You can select your car colour, ride height & backdrop. I know it is not perfect (my colour is not there) but it can gve you a rough idea of what your car could look like with a new set of rims... Or what you want your car to look like. Better than just guessing, no?
-
I do believe that the Interceptor can be used for a series 1 or 2 and should set you back no more than $1k. Being a piggyback there should be no issues with the tiptronic. If you are around the Clayton/Springvale are, I would prob recommend RE Customs to tune. They usually charge around $400-500 for a tune.
-
That looks like it could have a nasty price tag attached... Why not just purchase a 1.5m x 2m piece of boot liner (boat carpet, boot carpet, whatever you wanna call it) and cut it to shape? You can even cover the wheel arches with it, it is very light, you can get it an a range of colours to suit and it would only set you back around $80. (It also covers the back seat headrests when they are folded down).

My Nm34 Dynoed At 132kw At All 4's.
iamhe77 replied to mxfly's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just filled up this mornng (I forgot to check on Wednesday last week)... 633km's, 70L = 11.06l/100km. Not too bad considering I did not drive to conserve fuel. Yeah, I was thinking of re-connecting the boost controller. I miss that kick in the arse at 3200rpm... It was disconnected "just to be safe..." As an aside, what would 140rwkw equate to at the fly? How do you work it out? I have heard that the power loss would be around 40% through the drive train. To my mind, that would work out to be just over 230kw at the fly.... Would this be about right? -
Kakimoto front pipe ~$430... Any suggestions on a good, legal Hi flow cat? I have been hearing Magnaflow, Metal Cat and APS cats are pretty good. Prefer flanged to bolt up to the pipes.

14psi as well?! 140awkw @ 10psi with a hi flow turbo but everything else stock for my (m35) RS Four... Not quite sure why I feel so confused... -
Shipped to your door through Nengun takes it to $1,114.81 according to their site. Although, it is probable easier to get it through RMS as they ask for a small deposit and order it immediately. As stated, the price to pickup from RMS in Mitcham is $1180. I am also trying to source the Kakimoto front pipe (70mm). Will let you know. ...and yes, when I have it, I will (try to) post pics & sound
-
Hey guys, Due to constant harrassment, Nengun have (finally) added the Fuji Legalis R cat-back exhaust for the m35. + Damn good price @ around $820 + shipping + Build quality + Hi Flow + Low noise until opened up - delivery time (ships 17 days after order... then is has to come by sea) As an aside, I have placed my order with Henry @ RMS for the same exhaust ($1180 pickup from store). Will see it in 4 weeks. Once I have received it, I (hopefully) post something to give you some idea of the sound.

M35 Boost - Why Does It Take So Long?
iamhe77 replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just going by what I have been told by a couple of shops that have hi-flowed m35 turbos... The housing & flange are different (both shops said that they would "not want to break it" as they don't know where they would get another - neither had seen t before) but the T3 internals were used to hi-flow mine. Take from that what you will.... -

It is the housing & flange that is VERY different. The internals are rather similar to the RB25 turbo but certainly not the same. -
M35: 2.5l Turbo Or 3.5l N/a? Pros & Cons
iamhe77 replied to sven laptop's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Could not agree more. Although you may want to talk to Tony there at Northshore Prestige as he deals with the mechanical side of the business. I for one can vouch for the boys at Northshore as I purchased my car from them last May(?). They both continue to answer any questions I have and treat me as if I live around the corner - even though I am in another state. .... Price was good too!
