  4. I second this.. is the paintball near clackline the one with the old plane shell and the big fortress?? if it is thats the best one i've been to. maybe even co-ordinate a SAU v WRX or Silvia forum battle for supremacy edit: doh, didnt know there was already a thread on this bubba....heh

  7. pretty sure they dont do re maps anymore according to my last phone call 2 weeks ago.... i'll let gtrken tell ya's tho thats why im eagerly awaiting some emanage results from hyperdrive whilst i get the extra cash together.
  8. no benefits... unless you know someone to remap ecu, its the next best budget option.
  9. so any good RB20 hp results out there yet with the e-manage ultimate??? i cant wait now... only a couple more weeks to go before i can crank the boost up again... btw, does anyone know if a re-programmed eprom will have any negative effect on the tune process with the e-manage? i mean would it be recommended to go back to the factory tune or as close to/mild tune? as i do have a few different tunes lying around and wanna get the most out of the unit.

  11. did you wire it yourself? the install manual looked pretty straight forward giving manufacturer specific ecu wiring diags.
  12. that was my theory ay, and i have check the fittings and lines a million times.... definate oil flow. p.s can someone tell me how to reply with quotes from multiple people, instead of one by one
  13. they sound good but I already have all the lines and fittings for this one and i kinda wanna stick with the hks item as i really like the power delivery.... im giving it one more go with a rebuild this week..... might try per4manz this time. he has given me a very good price and came recommended by a local tuning shop nearby. opinions anyone? if this one fails i might go for the gcg or just get a brand new garrett unit of some description something big and laggy!

  15. does minor mods = gtr injectors and hksgt2530 with 1.3bar and usual supporting mods? need a car to test on?
  16. hahaha... 2.8L from an RB20... dont think so denver: Its a GT2530 and the rb20 was loving the 22psi. buggered if i know where its most efficient. anyways after thinking bout this a little more, its probably had some crud go thru the bearings from the engine swap! shame tho as it was loving the high pressure. just makes me cry, with all the money spent on this snail i could of had a brand spanker with ext gate.... who's to say that wouldnt fail in the same way these ones had.... and as far as warranty goes there is a big fat stamp on invoice saying "use of this product is the responsibility of the purchaser/consumer in all non vehicle specific applications" ie: get farked!
  17. but whats the point of having a turbo if it cant handle 22psi.......?? seriously tho dan it should be able to take high boost being a hks/garrett wheeled ball bearing.... well you'd think so. the new engine is nice too btw..tight as and drives heaps better..... shame bout the turbo now!

Im now onto my 3rd rebuild within 4 months, the bearing pack has shat itself again. has anyone else had dramas with turbotech?? i really dont wanna take it back to them and trying to get a warranty job out of them is like sucking blood from a stone maybe if i take it up with garrett australia and tell em their bearing packs are shit...i may have some luck with warranty they actually came recommended by a few people but seriously 3 rebuilds in 4 months??? is there anyone else i can take it to? united fuel injection came up but i havent heard about them before.
  19. the way i had been driving it i wouldnt be suprised! i have another rb20 waiting to go in soon as this one dies. unfortunately i havent been able to run the boost levels required to help the process along until now 21psi last night .....so far so good heh.
  20. finally after months and months of hair pulling dramas i have resolved my misfiring. in my case it was due to the tune running way too lean up top. i have been thru a few mods since the last tune was put on the eprom but i was under the impression it was already running rich. anyways i swapped the eprom with a yoshi hard tune i've had lying around for a year and the car now runs sweet all the way up to 19psi no misfire cheers to "the mafia" and "cubes" for bringing this to my attention ! so if you have tried everything listed throughout the SAU forums like me and are still having dramas get your A/F ratio checked it may be something stoopid....

  22. dea? aarrgh now u got me worried. getting another rb20 dropped in next weekend but need all supporting stuff working.. fuel pump has been pretty noisey lately! how can u tell if they are buggered? will a pressure regulator help the situation?
  23. i just pulled my plugs out as im still having misfiring issues above 16psi and the are the bcpr7's gapped to 0.6 and the tips are white!!! they have only been in car for 5000ks does this mean they are running too hot? i have a set of 1.1mm iridiums in the 6 heat range, can these be gapped? the electrode looks pretty fragile
  24. so i was just wondering what a leak down test is, how its done and what the results represent cheers.
  25. grippy, yoggi and any other gt2530 owners.... when do you guys get max boost?
