    Fender Bender

i was out and about last night in the S2000 with a mate up in the hills somewhere. we came accross a group of people in the middle of the road. from what we could see it looked like an 06 WRX had rear ended and R34 at an intersection. just wondering if it was a part of this cruise that i just read? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cr...9t-t308661.html if so, was everyone ok? much damage? (apart from ego's )
  2. FANTASTIC! its great to have the support!
  3. you know what, i think youve put it into perspective for me russ. power alone is not going to get me the lap times. i think something a bit more sensible for the rebuild, and focus on the handling and weight reduction is going to be a better and more reliable option, not to mention cheaper... thanks for the advice!
  4. ive pretty much got all the bits i need - turbo's, fuel pump, injectors... its really just the motor. the turbo's are 2860-5's only about 12 months old. 700cc apexi injectors, nismo fuel pump, ARC intercooler and so on...
  5. i want about 400kw. im thinking about 15 od grand. am i far off? im not too sure, ive been through a rebuild process before... as for the S2k, yeah im gonna do a track day with to see how it goes, but i know that it will never go as quick as the GTR. and if i want it to come close i will need to spend a ridonkulas amount of money! the S2k is just my cruiser.
  6. thanks mate, the S2 is good fun to drive, i want to do a track day with it just to see how it goes. hopefully i will be getting a company car soon too. 3 cars, parking could become an issue...
  7. sounds good to me, just need to get the 7 od grand for the kit plus whatever else i need. ooh its gonna be a long process...
  8. Greetings all! Man, its been a while since ive postied anything on here and a fare bit has gone on. So this is Shepo's update. Well ive sold by Subaru Liberty (probably silly of me) and ive baught a nice little Honda S2000 as a daily runner. She's a beaut! Almost enough power, great cornering abilities, you can take the roof off on a nice day, AND it get less than 10L per 100KM!!! what more could you want from a car? (maybe a bigger boot... ) On a sadder note. My GTR needs an engine rebuild. ive finally worn it out after all these track days. so unfortunatley its going to spend the next year or so under a cover in the garage while i try to put away the coin to pay for the job. this has annoyed me somewhat as i was planing on doing quite a number of events this year. thems the brakes! i spose my next question is what do you guys think i should do with the motor? im up in the air at the moment. i want a fairly large amount of power, but i want it to be reliable at the same time. so im thinking do i just rebuild it as is, or maybe go for a stroker kit. my other thought is sourcing a 3.0l bottom end and doing that. any suggestions? cheers, Matty.
  9. i should be there. time to renew the membership. i should put my stock standard S2000 on the dyno just for a laugh

  11. more episodes means more controversy... bring it!
  12. Awesome bit of entertainment there, it certainly looks like Jet Multimedia is kickin arse! it would be pretty cool if Motive DVD could host a track day / time attack event down here in VIC, maybe winton or sandown? just spinning ideas... oh, and nice work on JET200. looks to be coming along nicely. it will be a bit of an animal when it's going
  13. i would love to attend this one, however im doing the 6 hour up there the following weekend and as much as i love winton, i think two weeks in a row is a bit much... anyone else from here doing the 6 hour?
  14. we use a block named joe black from spray painting online. he does a great job fairly cheap and best of all he comes out on site to do the work. give him a buzz - 0438 549 004

  18. Hi guys, Just thought i would put it out there. as the title says, PIARC sprints are coming up. im trying my hardest to get to this one. ive never actually been to a PIARC event before (though i have been on the island circuit), and im just wondering if anyone here has? is the event well run? also one of the bigger things for me is, do the allow passangers out on the saturday familiarisation run? any ideas on this would be most appreciated. here is the link for the supp regs and entry form for those interested. http://www.piarc.com.au/?item=14659 thanks guys, Matty.
  19. im still spewing i missed this one, i wanna get back to winton again. i thinks theres a PIARC meeting at the island next month, i think i might attend that one...
  20. Damn and blast! looks like im not going to make this one after all...
  21. Winton is a great track if your starting out. its a relatively low speed circuit, quite technical but with plenty of run off. its a good one to develope your driving skills, they say if you can master winton, you can master any circuit!
  22. nice vid! though a bit of the camera work seemed a bit all over the place, or is that artistic? i dunno, im getting old!
  23. jusus Sam, where'd you pull that last half a second?!!! i really shouldnt have left when i did... would have been good to see you clock it. awesome work! just wait till i get my semi's, then its gonna be ON!!!
  24. lol, i'll be happy to get anywhere in the 30's...
  25. its looking like it will be plenty cold enough, bring a jacket! itl be good for the turbos!!! see you tomorrow.
