It seems I have TEIN type NR: TYPE NR Street spec Well Balance Master DNN65-12531 ECR33-R 20012 From the TEIN site: Type NR Kit includes: Fixed Rate damper X 4, S-TECH Spring X 4 Detailed handbook, 90 mm measuring gauge, damper adjustment tool C ring height adjustment equipment (4 levels) fixed damper X 4 C RING TYPE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM The C Ring Type height adjustment mechanism enables a wide range of driving variations depending on the situation, by changing the setting for weight balance, corner weight. Base setting is 2nd from top. The position for the 4 steps are defined based on the model data and putting in consideration the lever ratio, is set to change by 10mm. However, if set in a position other than the base position, there is a possibility for spring space to occur or other problems from pre-load over. http://www.tein.co.jp/nrdampe.html So I can't change the dampening, but I can adjust the height between 4 levels using C ring height adjustment equipment (which I don't have). Does this seem right? Are there any guides/instructions out there as to how to adjust the height? John

Ok, thanks mate. I just wanted to confirm that there should be something written on the shocks before pulling things apart/off. Need to get camber/castor sorted out also, but would like to know what I have before I start spending $. Would be nice if I could soften the ride a little, but I hear TEINs are still pretty hard on the softest setting. Cheers

I have some sort of TEIN setup on my car from japan, and I'd like to know if it's adjustable in any way. What is the easiest way to figure out exactly what TEIN springs/shocks I have? All I know at this stage is that it's hard as hell... (Sorry if this has been covered)
