  1. Agree with Bullet. I make special trips into canberra for BP Ultimate and if i cant get that then Mobil 8000. There was some testing done (am looking for the post on the forums) of the major petrol companies (BP, Shell, Mobil, Caltex) to show the RON of their high performance petrols and BP, Mobil and Shell came out on top with 98s and 97s, think vortex was around 95 Skylines should only be run on a minimum of 95 RON
  2. Ah looking very nice! Could you tell me how much it would cost with the Series 1 (guessing thats which 'skyline' rear section you are using) supplied.
  3. Ive seen some crazy crap before... but this honestly made me feel weird http://www.break.com/index/crazy_fitness_chick.html Watch it without skipping sections
  4. ahahaha, nice
  5. Peace of mind mainly . I've had a look and its the original factory pump so god only knows how old it is, figured if im replacing it i might aswell upgrade to an 044 over an 040 incase in the future i decided to modify the car a bit but if it requires changing fitments then might just go for the 040 instead which is supposed to be a direct replacement. Cheers for the help
  6. hmm might be too early notice for me :X Will get back to you when i get home from work tonight whether i can make it or not
  7. Hey not to hijack the thread but i have a question about fuel pumps and injectors. Next oil change (1,000km away) I was planning on replacing the fuel pump with a bosch 040 but found a trader on the website here selling 044's for around the same price. Anyway was just wondering would the injectors have to be upgraded with the 044 and for the sake of DIY would the 044 be a direct replacement for the pump in an R33. Also has anyone had anything to do with the website 'Performancelub.com", they have pretty cheap prices on good oils so was thinking about going through them, just looking for some testimonials
  8. Find someone wrecking an R33 on the forums, pick one up cheap
  9. dam, here i was thinking i had an original idea haha. Looks good though, maybe it should be during/after a meet up at the museum on a friday, head to the museum early, group together and cruise up the mountain for a photo shoot.
  10. Definitely keen on this, think a20'numbers' has this in planning already http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=179521
  11. Agreed Like the lake at nighttime though, maybe Mt Ainslie with photo taken down from high up on the viewing point facing down towards cars with city lights in background if possible.
  12. Remove the steering wheel column surrounds first, should be 4 or 5 screws on the underside. Should come off in 3 parts (top, bottom and key surround) then as Evesdropping said, pull out ashtray, and remove the section surround gearstick. The rest is all clipped in (atleast 6 from memory), just jiggle or gently pry with a screw driver till all are removed. Next you will need to unplug all the plugs which are attached, simple enough just hard to access but all you do is push sides in and pull off. Once you have done this you will have access to the gauge cluster, 4 or 5 screws from memory (some are hidden pretty well) Remove plugs from the back of the cluster and pull cluster out onto a table, that should be all, just replace LED's, test they are correct position then reverse the steps.
  13. from memory its just grab the back, twist, pull and your done.
  14. When i did mine i went to the nearest rubbish tip, was talking to the lady there and she said a lot of people do it and they even have special rates for it, cant remember exact price but it was less then $15 with a receipt stating the tare weight
  15. Very easy to do yourself. Make sure that you test the lights are in the correct way before putting the dash back together by plugging it back in and turning the cars lights on, note which ones dont turn on and flip them around
