  1. Seems like you already found the thread I was talking about (saw your post).
  2. Yeah, sorry, I meant search on the hidplanet.com forum. The main thing would be to get a lens which would still fit in the stock headlight housing. And for the brakets, I'm not too sure mate. Best to do some research on the hidplanet.com forum. See what others are doing and apply your knowledge. I think there should also be a write up on how to retrofit hids into the r32 headlight. I'll try and find the thread for you. It's on sau somewhere.
  3. Yeah it would mate. You can always rebuild it to fit and up to par with the stock bar (strength wise) and get it engineered can't you? I remember hearing someone say something about this, but not sure.
  4. There's a pinned thread where people have shared their experiences with tyres mate.
  5. Oh I can't wait till I get my licence. I wanna join you guys out there. Too bad I'm not going to be rolling in the 32 (damn laws )
  6. I can't remember exactly what mine looked like, but I'm pretty sure they didn't look like yours. My globes were originally H3C, but I got H3 hid globes.
  7. When fitting a cooler or a new front bar, it's quite common for people to cut the reo bar. Only down side to this is that if the insurance company find out, they could turn down your claim.
  8. "Damn! How could I forget to take out the speed limiter"
  9. GTS-4 coilovers are exactly the same as GTR ones. When shopping for coilovers for your car, just look where all the GTR boys would look. A full replica kit would cost around the $800 mark (depending on quality). Fitting you could do yourself. Paint, I'm not too sure. Goodluck.
  10. Nice ride mate. The mods just depend on how much money you have. Most people usually go for an exhaust and boost it up a bit, but it's up to you.
  11. I know what you mean mate. I remember driving my car with the standard lights and it was shocking. Couldn't see a thing. Driving at night while it's raining was the worst. The kit I had was pretty much plug and play.
  12. I have to agree with MANWHORE. I've purchased a set of hids and the visibility is much better than what my original headlights were doing, but there is a lot of glare compared to what retrofits can do. If your set is already on its way, I just hope you chose 4300k globes to come with it. I found that 6000k was too blue and ricey. Only my opinion. I wouldn't say they're a complete waste of money though. The kit did what it was supposed to do (give a better light output), but it's not good for on coming drivers. Up to you mate.
  13. They're called 'tl' projectors. Just do a quick search on hidplanet.com and it should give you a pinned thread of the sizes of common projectors used. S2000 projectors, BMW projectors etc.
  14. I'm not too sure, but I think it was 2.5" or 3". Best to go hidplanet.com. They use these projectors quite a lot. The american name for them would be 'tsx' projectors or 'tl'. One of them is bi-xenon and the other is just low beam. Shouldn't be too hard to find out which one it is.
  15. Any ideas if they have an on board camera?
  16. Just throw on your standard front bar if you don't already have it on. Go out have some fun and just throw your aftermarket bar back on. If you've only got a standard front bar, go out damage it and now you have an excuse to get an aftermarket one. Or just don't hit the cones in the first place.
  17. Hey mate, I can't tell you for sure what they are, but the globe type 'should' be printed onto the base of the globe somewhere.
  18. The 'normal' projectors are usually only low beam where as bi-xenon are high and low beam in the one projector. And yeah, try to get your hands on some honda euro projectors and get some genuine philip branded ballasts and globes. Cheers
  19. What happened to SK (SydneyKid)? Haven't heard of him in a while. Did he do a runner?
  20. Yeah, it doesn't seem like they're doing anything about the new rule. Haven't heard one person talking about getting done yet either.
  21. That's awesome. Wouldn't mind taking a top speed run one day.
  22. That's pretty crazy. I would like to see some sort of video of the run also.
  23. Slow drivers piss me off aswell, but what pisses me off the most are people who do 40kmh in a school zone when it's not even in school hours. It would be on a late Sunday afternoon and there would be people sitting on 40kmh even though you're supposed to be doing 60 (well atlease I think you are).
  24. I think your best option is to do a retrofit. You would need a pair of projectors, pair of ballast and a pair of HID globes. People usually go for the largest projector they can fit in the housing. I would say your best to visit hidplanet.com for more information. Doing a retrofit of some sort on your headlights will be illegal, but I highly doubt a police officer will defect you for them. Retrofits don't usually glare too much if you're using good quality lens and globes.
