  12. also spraying WD40 at the centre nut may help a bit. when yanking back the whole steering wheel just becareful not to hurt your back, i hurt my back a bit due to pulling back too hard, but maybe i'm just getting old...
  13. once u unscrew the centre bolt (dont unscrew completely, leave it sitting there, just wind back a few times), then re-attach your momo steering wheel. then start yanking. leaving the centre bolt on will ensure that when you finally yank it off the steering wheel won't hit you in the face.
  14. Yes, I believe it is an E30 generation.
  15. Does anyone know what would the maintenance cost would be on a regularly serviced BMW 318 from around the mid 1980s (84-89) model... Cars in particular interest were regularly serviced with log books, clocking about 200,000-225,000kms....
  16. What's the cost for PI round?
  17. Yeh I know.... on daily basis havent gave me much problem for the past 1.5 yrs... Is it worth fixing or not? Worst case scenario at least a replacement Gts-t gearbox is not as expensive as GTRs. I'd probably need to learn to downshift more gently...
  18. Yeah i suspect its my 3rd gear synchro.... it doesnt crunch though on down shift, it just pops back sometimes if i dont keep my hands there and i de-clutch rather sudden. probably the shockwave sends it popping out of 3rd. 5th to 4th downshift there was a crunch at end of main straight, even with heel-toe
  19. I found a couple of times my gearbox pop out of its 3rd gear, leaving me revving with no thrust.... i had to push in and hold it there with my hands while de-clutching. this particularly happen during fast heel-toe downshifting... Worn 3rd gear synchro??
  20. It was a great day... I had a blast... getting a bit wild a few times on those back S.. they're quite tricky hehe... At the end of the night couldn't get any better than 1:16... (47th place - at least I'm still ahead of one gtr). Also, I think my front suspension was set a bit too low and when turning the tyres hit the LHF guard, denting it a bit, and shaving off the outside part of the LHF tyre. Not sure if the tyre would be track worthy for another track days... the guard shaved quite a bit of mm out of the outer part. I felt my LHF tyre loosing traction already during super sprint session during right handers. Guys, u reckon i should raise the front ride height? Currently not even two fingers can fit between the tyre and the guards. Or should I roll the guards? Either way I gotta fix the guard anyway... I think no paints required just some dent remover specialist will do (or guard roller)
  21. Yep, list has been updated, I'm in no 53 :-)
  22. I believe we should be in the Associate Class, it's in the supplementary regs document available to download at the first post of this thread.
