My system is currently stock GTS-t exhaust, dunno if turtle wants to put a stock turbo exhaust system on his N/A skyline... turtle?
-
Taka-Kaira has Buddy Club aftermarket ECU, has anyone used this? Who can tune it here? How does it compare with PowerFC?
-
According to that picture on the SDU website, why my GTS-t has an S Spec non turbo front bumper instead of a type M? Are the M-spec bumper was actually a dealer option?
-
Thanks ppl... Didn't expect so many feedbacks & input in such a short period of time... beats going through the yellowpages and ringing them all one by one!!!

I had a tailpipe from HKS (2nd hand) which I want to attach to my exhaust system, but I don't have the middle section between cat & tailpipe, where the resonator is located. bad purchase decision perhaps. If this is too troublesome to fabricate, then maybe I'll just sell the tailpipe and get a brand new cat-back from Japan.

thx, I'll give that a try after I had a few more inputs on this forum... anyway I only want 3", not 4 or 5...
-
I have been ringing a few places in melb and some of them only makes up to 2.5" custom piping. Today I was even mocked when I said I wanted 3" piping, they said I must be crazy to want such a diametre, what do I need it for? Does anyone knows exhaust place in Melb where ppl who ask for 3" or even 3.5" custom pipe will be treated with respect and won't be jeered at and laughed? not very happy today

Excuse my ignorance but what is PP and what is EP? In comparison to plastic, is most aftermarket bodykit made of fibreglass and is this easier to mold than plastic. And what about repair, is it easier to repair cracks/split than factory one?
-
Just something that maybe we can discuss before buying body kit... Some body kit that were made sometimes very thin and flimsy and will crack upon the smallest impact. What is actually the best / strong body kit material? If we buy brand kits like Veilside, etc, will they be strong & thick like the original factory front bumper? Some cheap copies are very thin, if I'm not wrong, and they could be very flimsy fit as the mounting point may not be right for the car. What's actually the factory bumper made of, plastic, resin, fibreglass??

I heard on the radio ad, JustCar Insurance is ok with up to 12 modifications.... is this true?

my bro had a pair of those blue headlight that comes in fancy box in a pair. don't last that long. better get something more proper like narva brand. they're more expensive but they have ADR approved sign on the package n should be legal.

R33 GTR Series 3 - differences
rs73 replied to Jamezilla's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
For R33 GT=R, when does series 1 start (98 I assume?) and change to series 2 and 3?? Is it all up to 3 series before changing to R34? -
I thought that was for drag look.... you put in standard rims & tyres at the back to get more sidewall flex when you launch hard. Dunno about drift, maybe the front was different for more sharper turns so it's easier to turn suddenly and get the rear end start sliding.... correct me if I'm wrong. Or maybe ur right, coz the rear just get chewed up too often, so ppl just put cheap tyres at the back, which means putting on normal rim & tyres, similar to factory one? Low profile & wide tyres are very expensive!!!!

I'll have to give it a miss The weather does not look too good, and I've been to great ocean road route at this kind of weather before and it was really disappointing. Beside, I need to help my friend do an important research on parchment making, so I'll be spending my time from library to library today...

I'm still paying $2300 for 29 y.o. male, but I'm only rating 4 at the moment. Should have come down next year when I go up to rating 3... I have no insurance record back from where I came from b4 coming to Australia, that's why I have to start with rating 6 in yr 2000 when I bought my 1st car in australia... what a bummer..

maybe joining only if I'm not playing golf this sat... won't know until friday afternoon

Hi Greg, If it's not too troublesome, can you help me in translating this one page from my S-AFC manual? This page comes from a booklet which was does not have the English version. (The ones on US websites does not include this particular booklet). Much appreciated.

Note: with justcar, immobilizer is not compulsory, that's what justcar said to me. However, if you don't fit any immobilizer on your car, you will only be covered for accident damages, theft will not be covered. I'm with Justcar.

I used F1 from tint-a-car... never failed my bro's car, no scratches, bla bla bla... so I put the same one in my car and very satisfied until now.... it's just more expensive than other brands, prob around $400 a car.
-
I've given the exhaust a polish... not perfectly clean tho, the other side of the pic still got some dirty area prob from spray over paint (maybe was taken off a white R33 before??) What u guys think, I hope it wont be loud coz it's really huge...
-
What you guys think of "Speed", they've only got 2 issues so far... 2nd issue got that 600kw yellow R33 GT-R....... yummm......... $300K spent on mods.... I feel it's a good break from HPI & Motor since it's articles are a mix between import cars & local cars. Hot4s got too many airbrush showcase n I'm not into airbrushing my car.... Motor is good, Wheels I found is like Motor wannabe, oh well...
-
will u be celebrating on the nite cruz or somewhere else... imagine some1 holding ur birthday cake while taking some corners....... may not be good paintjob treatment for the interior.... mudcake custom interior..... yeah.
-
thank's.... I don't want loud tho... that's a real turn off driving a loud car with all the drones... for me, a car should be quiet, so even hi flow exhaust needs to be quiet to win my favour :-) I'll see how I go with the muffler, I hope I can get it done before next cruize, and if I don't go to tassie on the 27th

29 here...... I dun think skyline pulls chick... even I overheard one chick at a bbq said "that red skyline was a bomb", how can she compares my baby with old bombs that you get from rent-a-bomb car rental????? I wanna throw her on the bbq plate, cook her n eat her liver..... and..... But all is not loose: Skylines does pulls blokes & turn blokes' heads... Verdict: If you wanna pull chicks forget skylines. Get New Beetle, get new Mini Morris, get BMWs, or Mercs or any convertibles like Holden Astra convertible or even dodgy styled Renault Megane **yuck**. Unless that girl is a performance car enthusiast as well...
