  1. about 7 1/2 months for me Edited 7/2/2003: It's 11 months now and still going, got it converted into manual, got new exhaust... drives nicer...
  2. From the mag wheel, it maybe a GT-R? I can't make out whether there's a big wheel arch bulge in the rear quarter panel as it's been burnt badly... But the rear wing seems to be a series 2 skyline (the square style) Quite a sad news...
  3. nothing much, just washed my hair... I mean my car... anyone watched the news on tv, saw a car badly burnt after hitting a tree this morning in Mt Martha.... at a glimpse of the rear quarter panel and boot wing, it's a skyline. Not sure whether it's black/midnight purple/gun grey coz it's pretty much burnt. Even could be a GT-R looking at what's left of the rear mag wheels. Heard the two occupants are in hospital suffering burnt injuries... hope it's not someone we know from this forum...
  4. Mine's 93 with only 32,000km on the clock when I bought it... some of the numbers are not aligned which maybe coz it's been wound back prob in Japan or somewhere here. But all the interior trim, steering wheel, etc etc are in immaculate condition, so could it be that cars with original km still have numbers on the odo misaligned as well? The odo is runnin smoothly none of the above probs happen so far. I haven't check the suspension bushes thou, not sure how to look at them. But I travelled a lot... 7 months ownership & now I've travelled 9000km in it....
  5. Thx.. When it arrive (hopefully b4 nearing xmas holiday time) I can organise a saturday installation, if I don't have to work on Saturday.... I hate it when I sometimes can only drop my car in the early morning, but can't get back to the wkshop quick enuf in the afternoon to pick up my car, n can only wish they can lock my car in securely until Monday. (Happened to me once when I serviced my car last time)...

    What's with Skylines

Hey Uly... is ur R32 GTR 94?? I thought Nissan stopped making R32 GTR in 1993. But I could be wrong.
  7. It's only money and I don't have car stand or jack that will be safe enuf for me working under the car for long period of time. Beside no garage, just car parking spot shared with other neighbies, so a bit tight on space. Time is one of my biggest problem, I don't have the luxury of being a student & can have any time any day to wander around exhaust places to modify my car... nor being a business owner who can walk in or taking day off anytime anyday... (If you're the boss, nobody can fire you, get it?) Everytime I need time off, I have to organise it with the mgr a week or so in advance & fill out appropriate form, etc, etc, etc... and we're pretty busy now, no time for timeoff coz I'll be hung by my neck if I do that. This applies until after the New Yr 2003 when our workload will be lightened off a bit. BTW, what I'm ordering is a brand spanking new 3" exhaust system, I'm ordering the front pipe as well but still waiting to see if it's in stock & depends on whether they can ship it in the same box so I don't pay too much on shipping. The only thing I need left is 3" hi flow cat to complete the system. Or maybe plus dump pipe, or exhaust manifold... the list goes on.... perhaps just front pipe+cat+cat-back is enuf for now I'll source the hi flow cat locally. I live in northern suburb area but work in the inner city near CBD.
  8. Too bad they've already charged my credit card in Japan, and I've got a prospective buyer already for my HKS dragger by next weekend. Thank's, but still I may be needing an exhaust place to bolt on the full new exhaust system as it arrives from Japan.
  9. r there any wiring manuals included? its kinda hard trying to figure it out urself... I may only have the $$$ next wkend the soonest
  10. why would rotary engines need rebuilt quite often?
  11. How does it actually work, and where to get more info. What does it look like? It's not in Apexi US site, not even in Jap site. And do you know if there are anyone can tune it in here?
  12. I had my tint from tint-a-car & it said SFHC, super fine high coating?????? but I only notice that little sticker after I got my tint. can't remember if it's there before the tint or not.
  13. need me to baby-sit ur car akeenan I could use the extra money to buy FMIC
  14. arn't these the ppl who specialise in ONLY bringing in almost new cars, even totally brand new straight from dealers in japan? but you gotta pay the price tho
  15. I rest my case... no further comments.
  16. I can't help but commenting...... You'll need more than 1100 km/h to do that (approx 700mph). Not even Jun's yellow Supra can do it in Salt Lake, youll need something faster
  17. I tried mine at Thr Setting 4% then Ne1 at 1.5% & Ne2 = 4.0% The reason is at 2000rpm (my Ne2 setting) my throttle position is at around 6% when engine is cold. Then my Afl usage (see in the monitoring mode) is around 4.2% at 2000rpm and around 2% at 1000rpm. It seems to me that when I accelerate it bogs down a little bit from 2000rpm onwards but then it's fine, on decelerating it doesn't seem to stall but again I dont have venting BOV so maybe that's why.
  18. i c.... I got factory BOV which should be plum back type. so that Dec-Air function only for cars fitted with aftermarket BOV which vents to the atmosphere? What abt yours? You got venting BOV right? n still didn't work? Just out of curiousity if anyone managed to set that one up succesfully...
  19. I think I will be ordering a complete cat-back new from Japan. Arriving in December. my HKS supper dragger exhaust tip will have to be sold by then.
  20. Does this happen since before you had the clutch changed or only happens recently after the clutch was changed? That might narrow down the cause of ur problem.
  21. Hi... Anyone here used S-AFC Deceleration Air setup? If I used mine especially when engine is cold, car won't idle nicely and will eventually stall. According to Apexi S-AFC Manual: Throttle Setting: While engine is cold, & transmission is neutral, set the unit to a point LOWER than the throttle position Ne2 point can control (In this case, my Ne2 is 2000rpm) Ne1-Ne2 Setting: While the engine is cold, & transmission in neutral, set the unit to a point LOWER than the air flow % usage a value that the Ne1/Ne2 engine RPM can control. thx. rianto
  22. Attached is a ECU wiring diagram for R33 from S-AFC manual. Hope it's clear enough for you. Just be careful and count the right wires on your ECU. BTW. What brand of A/F meter you're installing? What's it look like, cool gauges? Is it pretty accurate? I found the one on Apexi TT was not accurate.
  23. Will using a proper Speed Cut Defender e.g. from HKS will prevent issues such as your HICAS mis-behaving after extended period of cutting wire 53?
  24. that's pretty cool explanation... so is this situation can be remedied by putting a stronger pump or some sort of stronger hose so no pressure is lost?
  25. What's the pressure control solenoid in auto trans do actually? Is it something to do with the torque converter? or getting slippage not transferring all the power?
