  1. Thank's, dun think i'll need the 2nd lot... you still want that lot of crap n cable, Waz ?? I'll send it to you if you pay for postage EDIT: Ok, i think the lot with those cable craps might be the extra boot lights like this (from JapanParts.com), might be able to hook it to the boot light's 12V source, as there's already 1 boot light bulb there in the middle.. those cable craps came out from the boot area, isn't it Chris? as I saw a couple of open holes on the plastic panels in the spare tyre well... I also found out that the button for the auto dipping mirror (below steering wheel, right hand side near boot release button) on reverse didn't work when I select reverse gear. Tried what the others said on another thread to keep the mirror fold button (next to mirror adjustment knob) to stay on position and on neutral, and tried turning on and off and it's not working either... Is there a requirement in the ADR that this thing is disconnected during compliance? Gonna find a way how to dismantle the dash panel under the steering wheel to investigate...
  2. Update to Group buy 28 orders: - Rekin for R32 gtst front slotted rotors (payment cleared) - FAT34 for R34 EBC green pads (payment cleared) - chris86 for S15 slotted rotors (payment cleared) - russky for V35 grooved & dimpled rotors (payment cleared) - subie for R32 gtst front slotted rotors (waiting for payment to clear) - e_Dog for R33 gtst rotors (TBA) - PT for R33 gtst slotted rotors (TBA)
  3. Correct. Skyline R32/R33, 300ZX, as well as Subaru WRX certain model/year & Lotus all uses the same pads.
  4. tried both on and off position and reverse. nothing. gotta find a way to drop that dash panel and see if it's connected.
  5. what's an ignitor look like?
  6. I thought the one next to mirror adjustment is to fold the mirror back, e.g. when parking in small spaces/garage ? Is that what you mean?
  7. Well I've worked out with RDA 324mm slotted rotors it would be +/- $660 for R33 Gts-t to GTR conversion kit, or $580 for R32 Gts-t to GTR conversion kit... all prices delivered. That is if i can get 10 people each...
  8. Anyone know what this is? from '03 Coupe 350GT premium spec. Just under the steering wheel next to the boot release & VDC off button. Sorry for the bit blurry pic but it has a picture of one of the side mirror and a down arrow. I tried pressing it (stays in for ON and pops out for OFF, I suppose...) but nothing happens. Tried putting the gear into reverse, nothing happens, as I thought logically from the picture, it is an option to tilt down the mirror a bit when reversing to make it easier to spot the kerb during reverse parking.. If that has been disabled too during compliance? Cos it doesn't seem to work in mine, anyone else have it and working?
  9. I'm not sure whether that thing is removed as part of the compliance or a part of factory immobiliser which Chris has removed as they often played up. Immobiliser replaced with a better 3 point immobiliser. Gonna find out what they are... My car however had a courtesy light that shines under the door when it's opened, and in the passenger footwell. Didn't see any light in driver footwell though... so those lights come off somewhere else... I suspect somewhere from the boot, but I've got boot courtesy light too, so not sure what they are? I'll wait for Chris' comment...
  10. Ok, got some pics... I believe these are all I need for restoring the factory Xenon... will I loose that fog lights as mentioned earlier in this thread? 2 balasts, 2 HID mounts, 2 bulbs... although I believe the bulbs are best to be replaced as they would've been dirty/oily and might just fog the inside glass of the headlight when the oils/dirt evaporate due to heat when they're on...? Also, Chris, on the 2nd pic below, I'm just curious what's all that cable fuss is about? There's something that looks like an interior light? Like a courtesy light? These probably just go into the bin?

  12. dun see any 19s on my placard... probably later model i.e. series 2 '05 & up?
  13. Till the batch 28 ends. Orders will be sent to RDA on the 24th March. RDA will prepare the orders and have them sent straight from their warehouse either the 25th or 26th March. I don't handle the delivery.
  14. think I may need to take off the whole assy and work on it while sitting on a bench rather than still attached in the car. the whole ballast thing and the xenon bulb socket is out of the car. does that step above only exposes the light or can give access to remove the light without bumper off? how to identify which wire they cut from the ballast plug? would involve getting some new wires in case they cut it short?
  15. You can just shoot a pm to Chris Rogers directly. If you are doing your compliance in QLD then he's the man who can do the conversion stuff for you. The main thread is here, although its' quite a long read: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/35...av-t157379.html I can't really give you the exact price as it is really a POA, depends what you need. Do you have factory Bose Audio with factory TV that you want to keep? If not then just chuck the japanese unit out and put in a local aftermarket unit. There's just so many things that you want to be done. From just a simple FM band expander to convert the japanese radio to be able to receive our FM frequency range, to a navigation solution and a tv tuner, a reverse camera, ipod solutions etc. I only did FM expander, navi and tv, that's all. If yours is a premium with factory TV that you want to keep, it could cost over $3-$4k if you really want everything done complete! Geoff's good he'll take you step by step, but make sure you read his emails carefully and take actions on the things that you need to action, e.g. contacting the compliance workshop in advance and the customs brokers, as well as making payments timely. If you didn't do it then the whole import process would be delayed and/or failed.

  17. yeah. 1. gotta find correct bolts to screw them back on if the screws r not at the back of the headlights 2. saw 2 bolts on top of headlights, if that's undone, will that remove the assy without removing the bumper? as removing the bumper sounds like a big job why would nissan make it difficult to get access to the bulbs, what if the bulbs blown then the average owners (non-tech savvy) would have to bring the car in for 'service' at their nissan dealer???
  18. Did you get yours done? Any pics? I got what I think is the parts needed to put the xenons back on... a ballast, and the light connector and bulbs.. will post photos... they're in the boot of the car...
  19. Try Hollandia that's the correct spelling

    V35 Sedan 350gt

Nice one... That's the 2nd series with different interior, right? Did you buy it with original japanese battery still on the car? cos mine was flat and dead. and I finally found a local one that would fit - Century Battery NS60LS The 350Z one looks likely won't fit cos it's too wide.
  21. Yes open. R34 only rear rotors available. fronts not yet. Pads available front and rear, check your pm I'm heading off to bed, going for a morning start to Grampians tomorrow so if anyone need a quote please leave a message reply or pm and I will reply when I am back Monday night or Tuesday depending how tired I will be from the driving trip.
  22. Is this your car? if it is the dealer is still advertising its 'clone' :-) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2004-Nissan-Skyline...1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. most car might have flat / dead battery from sitting in the docks for too long. Found a good replacement Century Battery NS60LS Blue colour has flat top (no yellow cover sticking out) and has 2 terminal sizes, use the small ones and keep the rubber cover on the large terminals on. Dimension lengthxwidth (23cmx13cm) very similar to the old battery except it is 1cm shorter (18cm only), so you'll have to screw down the bracket holder tighter until it reaches the lower battery height and keep it down. Alternatively put a 1cm thick spacer under the battery either a solid hardwood or hard rubber to get the battery to the correct height. About 400 CCA (Cold Crank Amps), cost $159 at Autobarn or $144 with Century promo of $15 cash back for trading in any of your old battery (they'll recycle it). It's probably cost less if I look harder but what the heck, it's Labour Day holiday and I can't be bother driving around town to find cheapest price, just wanted to get it done.
  24. Is the english menu conversion means sending the audio unit or the tv controller to that company to be converted, or is that something that can be done by them sending some kind of a CD patch that we can somehow load in here?
  25. What's the cost of the button, just curious? Also is there an electronic diagram for the fiddling or is that trade secret? You can pm me if you don't want to disclose the price here
