  1. wow this looks like a HEAP of fun!!! very very different... i like!
  2. i pulled all the rear trim apart last night just to see what goes on in ther there is a small lever on the right hand latch that is easily adaptable to fit a central locking solenoid onto... im thinking of getting one from the wreckers and making an electric release button, it will hold the latch open for like 10 seconds while i run around to the back to open it.... looks REAL eas to do...
  3. did you notice anyhting different with the elec fan??? does it rev better or anything?
  4. hahah.. famous last words!!! seing as the R30 platform was the first development chassis for the atessa system, they are actually a very potent package!! stock, a bit sad.... modded = FUN there are normally a few on ebay at least once a month, not really in good nic though... the loval one adam is selling will be a good parts source... i just gotta wait until i move before considering purchasing it but mine is 100% rwc, has a bit of rego left, nothing to spend really. reason i want to sell is im 190cm and prefer a 2 door variant... either DR30/FJ20et or HR30/L20et
  5. hahah!!! why so serious?....

  8. wait till you get the money back before sending them to him...
  9. after a while the plasticy rear hatch hinge sags the whole hatch rearward a bit, the latch and the bit on the hatch itself interfere and it just buggers up.. i was going to either get new hinges (as if i could find em) or modify the latch (...grinder...)
  10. i remember seeing a 2 door one of these (i think) brown with white roof, sitting abandoned near flinders st station in melb got towed and never recovered, i think a scrap dealer bought it in the auction sad

  17. you offer time and time again to sell parts for your car, never actually following through with ANYTHING, constant emails, sms' photos, posts and the rest... WASTING MY TIME AS WELL AS EVERYBODY ELSES then you come and ask what can be done with an L24e.... IT HAS BEEN f**kEN ASKED 20 TIMES ALREADY USE THE f**kEN SEARCH BUTTON!!! AND IF YOU GOT NO SKILLS (ie mechanical knowledge as stated previously) APART FROM BEING A f**kHEAD WHY THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT CAN BE DONE ON A L24E IF YOU CANT UNCLIP A FRIGGEN ENGINE LOOM, OR UN SCREW 4 OR 5 FASTNERS AND CHUCK EM IN A BOX....HOW DAMN SIMPLE ARE YOU??? IF YOUR SUCH A HALFWIT MECHANICALLY HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE THE L24E ANY BETTER???? CAN YOU EVEN SPELL YOUR OWN NAME... f**kEN STOP POSTING HERE YOU DUMBSHIT AND DO US ALL A FAVOUR AND STOP POLLUTING THE GENE POOL.... have a nice day
  18. Rob, this car has been sold TWICE since this guy Glyn advertised it.... Now resides in Sydney, being prepped for track duties...
  19. i have a set of series 1 tail lights sitting here?.... my fone is f*kt so i will call on another one tomorro?? MAG86 claims the hotplates...
  20. James james james.... first of all, Mr. Ghostrider is like the Grandmaster of R30ness, any post of his is usually in good taste and can be of help in most times! There are many experienced datto/nissan gurus here... but its hard to filter through all the shit like georgebryant or mister30 the petrol sniffer Now as for registration, being a Hobart boy myself i know that it is ALOT more relaxed than it is here in melb/syd/canberra... If it was fully registered and engineered, no work whatsoever to be done, you would likely get around the dollars you are chasing (MAYBE..... as the buyer would almost only be an enthusiast like the 30 or so of us here on SAU) As for numbers, there are a few hundred still around, registered etc. Tassie would have a heap of Oz spec MR30's, but as for the 2 door turbo variants, very few. in the 19 years I lived there, I never saw one... The going price for a clapped out MR30 is $200 to $800, for a DR30, $4000 for a clapper, $8000 for a good one, $10,000 for the one Ross had, this one had over $50,000 in receipts, did about 350kW at the rears once tuned, and was pure porn... Your car will likely sell for $8000, basically its a $5000 car with a $2000 engine in it I would suggest getting everythingn approved and sell it as a legal street car, advertise on FJ20.com, nissansilvia, boostcruising Even swaps would be an idea, as its hard to sell these rare beautys! upload a heap of pics on imageshack or similar, and post up a link for all to see
  21. what did you do with the 2 L20et that you blew up??? any parts available?
  22. please list location and get pics... or leave mobile number
  23. Ive followed progress of this car over the last few years It used to have a FJ20et with a few HKS goodies, owned by josh priseman of tassie, he was in the process of installing the RB26 the FJ20 sold complete for $1500 it was used in drift comps at baskerville and brought in a few placings also used as a hillclimb car u[ near berridale then some kid on boostcruising got it, prob without engine, and done the SR conversion and now the next owner is selling it!!!
  24. ive seen the hose on the o-ring mod, its not too hard, best to tape the injector all over, then cut where you want to be 'barbed', make 2 mm rings along the shaft then force the hose on (heating up in tin of boiling water helps soften it up) use clamps carefully, best ones are the original type ones that clip, not screw in to tighten
