  10. I was hoping that port and adelaide were literally going to kill each other and well the first half looked like it was going to happen too. and make it a easier game this weekend. oh well looks like its going to be a tough game... Go Eagles.
  11. Butler, Have you though about heavy vehicle fitter/mechanic or auto sparky. Apprenticeships are run through the major companies like Caterpiller and Komatsu (to name a few). Its pretty compeditive as the money is certainly good for an apprentice. (troy no jedi jokes please, thankyou). Basically the engines are 14+ litre v12's mainly with 2 turbos and 2 superchargers. rosters are mostly 2 and one and some places are even 9 and 5 (9 days on 5 off). At the moment a qualified heavy auto sparky can ask for around $100k and get a job easily.
  12. If any one need a lift from SOR if your spectating send me a PM. woo hoo!
  13. Will be happy to act as a tour guide if you like. Personally, somewhere near Murdoch could be good. South st has buses that go directly to Freo or maybe if you wanted near the beach swanborne would be another area. south of freo there is coogee with some new estates and housing developments going up near there and some (ahem) quieter roads through industrial areas. its also very close to the freeway if you wanted to head north to barbagallo its probably a 40- 45 min drive or the AHG driver training center about 20 min away with the motorplex south 10 min or less away and xspeed 10 to 15 min away. I have a 2004 street directory at home if you want me to send it over to you. With the car I would say have a chat to x-speed or C-red. I know roy at C-red does a lot of yellow sticker compliance work and would be able to tell you what you can or cant get away with in Perth. Normally you have around 3 months to transfer rego over but i have had qld rego on my car for the last 2 years and had little hassle with rego renewals.
  14. ellenbrook? oh damn you north of the river so and so's damn thats a long drive. oh hang on roe highway.. mmm noice... easy 20 min from canning vale... heh heh
  15. The other option is for a pin code pad near the ignition for your car. you need the pin code to start the car even with the keys in the ignition.
  16. Personally I dont think this is too bad at all. although the SAUWA member area and council stuff has gone. but i guess that will come back in a few days or so. Well done prank.
  17. SAUWA fundraising pony ride?
  18. Guys, I am happy to see your interested in motorvation and While it has driving events they are pretty much limited to go to whoa (accelerate as hard as you can and then stop in a coned off box), salom and super cruise (bit of a burnout on the start and then cruise up the strip and the burnout session at night time. I have been to motorvation a few years ago and well its not too bad. If you want club promotion (eg heaps of people around your stand) then your going to need a a few scantily clad models that are happy reveal lots of flesh a lot of the time and hold a big party on the sat night with a spa or pool or something of that sort. The other thing is be prepared to cop a lot of flack from the V8 boys mullet wearing and not. This is their turf and we are still seen as invaders in rice burners. I believe the SAUWA council and me personally is not towards providing this type of image of our club and believe our resouces are better spent providing better events for you and other options such as MC. However on a personal note. IF you guys want to enter Motorvation under a Skylines banner (not SAUWA) then I am right behind you if you need any help on how the event goes, how to get into the top 70 tent (very cool) or general info then please give me a pm and I will e-mail my details to you and help you where I can. I have at home, event registration forms, timetable, tips on well how to stand out from the crowd and as well as the "unnofficial" rules of the event. Good luck Paul
