  1. ive done the conversion a few years back, im still using s13 struts to this day, work a treat
  2. Spewin theyre so small I think you should finish your project, what have you got left to do?
  3. You need to tap in the temp sender from the fj20 (if that was your standard motor) into the rb water line to get a correct reading, you also need the oil pressure sender from the fj, it should just bolt into the rb20, i know the L series one does, and that will give you a correct reading. not sure about the fuel gauge, but if the car has been stationary for a very long time with little amount of fuel, the fuel sender unit can seize/rust slightly, and it get stuck. My dash clock also stopped after the rb20 went in, as did my fan/heater, havent worked that one out yet...
  4. hehe, nah, each issue they update the news, and the front (map) page, this issue its my car on the front page!!

  8. I gotta say boj01, thats the first non-crossflow, sohc rb20 ive ever seen I see and R32 with a factory rb20det and a hr30 with a factory l20et :headspin:
  9. Sorry to hear that Matt
  10. Showed Bill at ATS, turns out its just a standard late model mspec, the inducer is 47mm
  11. Also, just pulled apart my stock rb20 turbo, (which i havent driven with, it came on a motor package and i put a vg30 on straight away), and the inducer on the comp wheel is roughly 48mm, that seems a bit big for a stock rb20 turbo...
  12. Its to the right of the cig lighter, those three lines/slots in the plastic allow the noise to come through, is a little metal box behind the slots.
  13. I may have a spare one lying around, ill get back to you on that one
  14. When you say the exhaust snout would have to be reduced, do you mean below standard vg30 size, or just not machined out at all? In theory with a .7 a/r comp cover, it should reduce lag because you do not have to machine out the exhaust housing, therefore you donot reduce the efficency
  15. Would it be possible/good idea if i got my hands on a cheap t04 compressor cover and adaptor, put it on to the vg30 t3 core w/vg30 exhaust housing without porting the exhaust housing, it should'nt surge as the comp cover can flow more air... a/r comp cover around .70 oh, and use the vtrim comp wheel
  16. I think you may find what your looking for on fj20.com
  17. Interesting, i have raised the back of my bonnet 20mm, when i had the L24E it reduced my overheating problem considerably. My intercooler is hidden well behind my bumper, and i still manage to create frost on my out tank of the cooler, with less direct flow than you would think
  18. Where would i get my hands on a HKS actuator? cheers

  22. Hey guys, long time since ive been on here, been having computer issues On the brakes thing, ive attached a pic of R31 brakes, may be usefull to someone Ive had a few issues with my car, bought a brand new clutch a month or so back as some of you may know, 6 puk ceramic from extreme in adelaide and the plate split in 2 weeks, not happy, so i bought a 2nd hand 3 puk brass button plate put it in but it doesnt grip at all. gbox has to come out again, just purchased a TJ Twin plate, hopefully this one will work. Picked up an R200 mechanical long nose LSD at a bargin price, with axels, housing the works but unfortunatly its a 3.9 ratio, i was looking for a 4.4 or 4.6. Also got a k-mac swaybar for beans. Unfortunatly i cut the back of my hand and severed the tendons last week and had plastic surgury so no car for a few months This gave me some time to knock up a vector DR30, ive attached a pic, Ghostrider this could be usefull for a tshirt
