  1. haha yeh man! that was me!! small world huh! With the R31 struts they should be floating disk from memory and you can slide on R33 non turbo disks, and R32 turbo 4 piston calipers, you may need brackets for the calipers, you may not too, but thats easy! I bought the strut brace off a mate who bought it from some guy on performance forums, its adj, cusco, but i didn't notice a huge improvement as the thing f***ing sticks like glue with the coilovers anyway
  2. Hey rsx84, mine are speedstar RS-8 watanbe, 16x7, 16x8, paid $500 a few years ago, straight out of a container off the docks, got a bargain, they are sweet rims and if you can get them in the same size your laughin!

  5. Hey boyd, i bought my RB20DET from Japanese Motorsport, it cost $1650, they were on special and i think they still may be. I also bought a VG30 turbo, 1 piece dump pipe + front pipe and a big f*** off front mount The swap is going a bit slow, wiring looks imposible, and i think i will be taking it to fours'n'more to be wired up. As for the cooler piping, i think ill run it over the rad pipe, not sure yet though, i will post some picture later today of the conversion so far

Hey R30_Turbo, the leak is nothing to worry about, the koni insert slides into the strut case, and the koni insert itself is sealed and thats not what is leaking, all struts have a small amount of oil in the bottom of them to lubricate the shock absober insert, they are adjustable koni red's 'special' Try to leave them sitting upright and they wont leak. The sleave that screws into the top may need tightening, by when they are in the car they never leak, unless you roll the car!
  8. Hey guys, i have an MR30 sedan, currently installing an RB20DET, looks like a nighmare to wire up, apparently the g/box mounts should bolt up... Its bolted in, but still not wired up. I ve painted the car in 2pak, gold and put R33 disks and 4 piston calipers on front, std rear disks, adj. coilovers, fibreglass front bar, strut brace, nolathane bushes, series 1 dr30 tail lights, 16x8 watanabe's (no rubbing problems running 245/45/16), bolton 20mm spacers and a few other things. Im sure i'll run into some problems while hooking up the RB20 tho pictures - http://www.pbase.com/crimmo dr30turbo - if you get 2 front struts with your HR30 from paul, they will bolt in no worries, i bought the koni shocks brand new and the springs are heavy duty pedders, all came out of my car when i converted to big brakes and coilovers, they handle very well.

  11. I also have a 4 door R30 sedan. Mine is gold, painted it, done coilovers all round on 16" RS-8 watanbes and R33/R32 brake conversion, and soon motor and steering. Ive also go a couple of wrecks in my yard (adelaide) if you guys want any parts, just ask ill post some pics soon
  12. I tried the strut brace on my R33 GTSt on my mates R32 GTSt and they were fairly different
  13. Ive still got my four door R30 sedan and without blowing any smoke, its still going strong at 350,000kms with the original motor!! The worst thing thats happened was splitting a heater hose
  14. Can you verify that it will a DR30? Maybe hold it up next to the struts on an australian delivered R30
