  1. Hey guys, doing a service on my GTR and just wondering what plugs to use and what everyone else has used. Ive been told to get them from nissan, I was thinking about irridium plugs also as i have had good results in my other cars with irridium plugs. Not sure weather to use a colder heat range either thanks
  2. Ive also recently bought an 89 GTR and i am having the same problem where it gets so hot you can't even touch the strut towers. After i turn it off you can hear the top rad hose bubbling out of the head. I just fitted an alloy radiator as some fool had put in a single core gts-t one before i bought it. But unfortunatly it still seems to run hot and oil temp gets half way. All the heat causes the oil to thin out and oil pressure drops to about 20psi at idle. I am going to try taking out the thermostat to see if this helps

  5. Sounds like axel housing, basically swingarm would be bent. DR30 disks are obiously bigger than aus mr30, but im not sure if them swingarm shell, hub/axel carrier is the same. You may be able to get an mr30 swingarm and switch hub and disk, caliper etc

  11. RB20DET is bolt in and would cost around $1500 for a motor, box, ecu and loom, and around $150 to modify tailshaft, about $500 give or take, to wire it up, you also need intercooler, fuel pump, air filter, exhaust etc etc. cheaper and easier then you may think tho

The turbo used to be a VG30 and on the dyno it made 197.3kw at the wheels, the current turbo has the same compressor wheel but smaller housings, i would say it would be making 170/80rwkw now. pulled a few car lengths from a VY SS commodore with an exhaust for a ballpark of how it goes now.   15. To solve the s13 strut top reverse problem, slightly slot the top bolt inwards where the strut bolts to the hub, make a big difference. You cannot use factory s13 struts, or GAB shock and spring replacement, the spring seat wont fit in the wheel arch. S13 rears need a strut top change or redrill to fit up, but do a good job and worked well as camber correction for me. You'll most likely need bolt on spacers for the wheels to clear the calipers. Its a pretty simple conversion, and a bit of and easier way out of a brake upgrade because you get the suspension all done at once

  22. Follow the pedal switch back to the brake lights, it may have been severed at some point. Also there is a little black box mounted in the boot on one of the taillights, (right side i THINK) which can fail, check the system with a test light before and after this little box (its about 5cm long and 3cm x 2cm)
  23. yeh theyre adjustable, the stud pattern is just reversed, but they still work, i can dial in -8 degrees, it looks ridiculous!!
