  1. So is this the LF-A or the new supra? Either way this thing will give the GT-R a good run for its money; if the 'ring times are true it may actually prove to be a better car.
  2. The exterior is very well designed, and i'm a fan of the interior also. They really look great on the road... haven't driven one though and i'm not likely to drive one any time soon. I'm sure they drive as well as they look.
  3. Tuesday evening bump

  6. +1. Urban Slang 101.
  7. I know this is SKYLINESaustralia, but isn't it meant to be a web site for car enthusiasts? Who appreciate a wide variety of cars and don't just think skylines are the be-all-and-end-all of cars? The new holdens and fords are great bang for bucks, especially the V8 holdens/HSV's and the turbocharged Fords/FPV's. Just deal with and accept it. Skylines aren't the only great performance cars (some may argue they aren't even that great).
  8. Don't you love 2 of the 'hoodlum' activities mentioned in the article? "They are a new strategy to get cars that blend in with the hoodlums. "What we find is people don't pick them as police cars and it's easier to pick offences like speeding, using a mobile phone or not wearing a seatbelts. I love the unfair demonisation of car enthusiasts (or more specifically the hoons or hoodlums) the media is guilty of. In two sentences they mention hoodlums and using a mobile phone & not wearing seatbelts - because obviously its only the 'hoodlums' who break those laws right?
  9. I'm after a front bumper support for a R33 GTR ('96 model). I'm also after the A/C pipe that connects the Condensor and the Compressor. Send me a PM and we can hopefully work something out. Ray.
  10. R32 are my favourite, but when i was looking to get a GT-R i noticed that there were far more R33's in excellent condition than R32's - I'm sure part of that has to do with age. Add to that the improved brakes, ATESSA and overall design of the car and i thought i'd be better off getting an R33 until i could afford to own an R32 and any potential age-related maintenance that may have to be carried out.
  11. On that note, how on earth are Harley's and other loud bikes considered road legal? They are easily the loudest motorised transport available and can be quite deafening when up close. p.s. i'm not complaining about how loud bikes are, i'm complaining about the apparent discrepancy between noise levels of cars and bikes.
  12. We need pics!!! What a tease of a thread!
  13. Hey, either way this thing is bloody fast.
  14. I was under the impression the GT2 did a 7:32 lap?
  15. I just came across this today, apparently the new lexus supercar did the 'ring in an unofficial 7:24. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpr.../lexus_lfa.html Its only got around 30hp more than the GT2, Can these numbers be true?
  16. RIP, i can only imagine what his family feels like. I guess its a reminder for us to drive safe.
  17. dude, i feel for you and i hope everything works out; but to be honest, speeding isn't worth the legal or personal risk. Now, i'm just as guilty of doing certain things in my car at one time or another as everyone else on this forum; but i've learned my lesson and breaking the road rules isn't worth the risk at any cost. Insurance may not cover you, cops may catch you in the act, people can get injured or killed. Keep us updated.
  18. you'd better hope they don't have an MC12 to race you with
  19. The GTR a bargain considering it now comes with leather interior and electric everything, it is a no brainer for me. Based on performance alone, the GTR is the best bang for buck car on the market.
  20. one of the electronic engineering students at uni was working on a final year project involving GPS based speed limiting devices; and apparently the owner ot the car will be able to switch off the technology (ie the government won't force it to be switched on on a vehicle; atleast when its initially introduced) - however i'm guessing this is a different system than the one nissan is using.
  21. I didn't notice a video link had been posted, i only saw the link to the article.
  22. Because the GTR spanks it in every performance category.
  23. Here it is, the video test by Edmunds doing the times everyone has read about. This car is awesome, i'm looking forward to owning it one day. http://www.dpccars.com/car-videos/12-24-07...Nissan-GT-R.htm
  24. Very nice buy. R32 and R33 GTR's are the best bang for buck purchase on the market today IMO.
