  1. Brad and I (well, mostly Brad ) got the new head unit, HDTV tuner and English conversion installed. Immaculate job, comes up looking almost factory with the head unit screen folded in. English translation unleashes some extra goodies too. Couple of annoying quirks with the Clarion head unit, it doesn't allow AV IN while connected to the iPod (needs the USB cord disconnected) and we couldn't get around the video block. Should be able to sort the second one out in time. Huge job, but everything went back perfectly and I'm very happy with the result. Thanks Brad!
  2. You heading to Kadina next weekend Ruby?
  3. Does that mean you're considering keeping your car now?
  4. I thought you had tiny girl hands? Aren't you still in Sri Lanka anyway? Mike, have a search through tthe forums, I've seen that a few times, and check out m35stagea.info, might be on there. I know there is a huge listing to all the fault codes and the procedure. Other than that how's the car?
  5. Well not so much something I did, but some little punk ass vandal bitch threw a rock at my car last night and smashed the right fog light. NOT HAPPY!!! Too dark to catch him, and I didn't realise that it was actually smashed until I got to my gfs place. Bulb is intact, just need the glass. Betting replacing it will cost enough to give me the irrits, but not enough to put through insurance, unless the paint is marked in the light of day. In happier news, going round to Brad's shortly to get my stereo stuff done. Should take my mind off the fog light... Glenn, sounds like good stuff, did you get your Nistune sorted too?
  6. Due to some little dirtbag waste of space throwing something at my car tonight, I'm now in need of one new Cibie fog light for an M35 aero front bar. Would anyone have a spare? I'm betting its going to be just under insurance threshold... Thanks, Ryan
  7. I think Ruby is postponing. Anyone up for something casual over the long weekend?
  8. How often are you supposed to change these? And what is the difference between a Blitz, Ryco or Repco filter?
  9. I've had a lot of people comment on mine, although the way they fit they almost look like they're a clip on cover over the mirror?
  10. Got mine today too! And damn are they heavy! Of course I've also had my install time on Saturday cut, so we will have to see what happens... Only a couple of hours to do properly right?
  11. I have a set of those sitting in the shed to go in with the sway bars. I was told by the guy on ebay when I enquired that it was pretty much a must have for lowered cars, and if the car wasn't lowered, they're thicker and stronger than the OEM items so you'd get better handling. Since I haven't got them on yet, I can't tell you what they're like, but if you wait a week or two I'll be able to let you know (although going on at the same time as the sway bars I won't be able to give you a definitive answer!).
  12. If its to calm him down, maybe we should make it north, just to give him a reason to calm down
  13. Then when can we do a cruise? Although not sure I want to go with a nutbag... He'll probably make rude comments about how awesome my M35 is...
  14. Hmm have to ask him. I know my Clarion can wire up to stereo controls too.
  15. Sounds good. I'm after cruise control, and Chris Rogers has his setup that uses the factory buttons, will be going with that. Looks awesome, and I want cruise control for trips.
  16. Nice. Do you have factory steering wheel controls? Hmm...
  17. Which one Iain? The one which has no drive? You might be right Cam, but I think you know what I mean
  18. Wasn't there a disabled person parked in there that you ran over Glenn?
  19. I'm hoping my smaller aluminum spacer might just fit with the strut brace. If it doesn't I'll work out what to do then. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks. Under carriage bracing is heaps more expensive.
  20. I need new suspension for mine, going BCs I think. Also getting Dale's sway bars and I have adjustable rear toe arms to go in. From all my research, BCs seem to be the best bang for buck, and if your car is anything like mine, the shocks will be stuffed! So soft, total crap! Should be better with the sway bars and toe arms, but the BCs should fix it. Also bidding on a front strut brace
  21. Which wheels are on yours atm? Standard 17"s? Looks pretty familiar, you should enjoy it!
  22. Yeah I no Dale, all good! Australia Post can just be slack sometimes, esp in my area! I got the impression reading other people's posts that if you put the car up in the air with the wheels suspended, you'd get the clearance issue. If you put the car up with the wheels supported you'd be all good. Just wanted to check this before I gave it a bash.
  23. My Greddy catch can turned up today! Going to be a big weekend for the Stag. Hopefully will fit the sway bars, adjustable rear toe arms, plenum spacer and catch can. Wait and see when Brad is available to give me a hand fitting the new stereo, and hopefully HDTV tuner. Fingers crossed the stereo will work with the NTSC screen! Once the catch can is in, have to organise the HDI intercooler finally. Held off until I had the catch can, because I didn't want to immediately fill it with poo!
  24. Australia Post has let me down, and they STILL haven't arrived! Hopefully they'll be waiting for me when I get back from Melbourne Thursday night. Serves me right for being optimistic with Australia Post... Fitting them Saturday hopefully, going to follow Jules' suggestion of hard front and medium rear if I can work them out. Couple of questions... Do they come with instructions on fitting/setup? Is the filing issue Scotty found only applicable if you fit them on a hoist/with the wheels suspended in the air?
  25. What did you pay for that Josh? And where did you get it done?
