HAHAHAH thats classic .. Great photo shopping send that one to the RTA And yeah you do have to stop for a ped crossing the road .. you must give way to ped when they enter the road.. they have right of way .. but im not stopping if they try cross infront of my car either if I was driving down the street like that. Maybe men who are rather large can now say they had been speeding to reduce its size lol

Try a bigger fuse? what u running now 50? Run some insane power fuse see it it works lol U just have to much doof doof !

Any fibreglass kit will do .. Just take it to your fibreglasser and ask them to glass in holes for the lights .. and prob cost ya $150 to do it .. that way you can pick what you like

Well best ride height is 350 - 340 for best handling.. but it is rather low .. Im actually pretty sure its even lower on a R32.. If you PM sydney kid he will give you the exact measurement for best handling. It may not stop the scrubbing though Lipping may cause cracking but you wont see it .. Depends where the wheel/tyre sits have you thought of stretching over some narrower rubber?

No the xenons are not H1 Halogen which consists of a bulb and a wire/filament inside the globe (this is a H1 halogen globe) Xenon or HID is a globe with NOTHING IN IT .. nothing visable anyway its filled with a gas which when burns produces a low level heat and high light output for little power. This globe will be a D2R Globe. Both the light types use the same Headlight fixture so both have Xenon written on the light. The side parkers are T10 - Halogen bulbs again which are crap from factory and just look wacked! Get yourself some LED or Polarg or Phillips Diamond Vision T10 Globes. The High beams are something I have no idea about but they are halogen as HID in high beam would prob burn peoples eyes out, If you look at HID you cant see for a good 5 mins (not without a big blurry bit inside ur eye) Yes .. ive done it :|

Seals are ok, Got them checked cheers tho.. Really think its just the pads which are rooted.. Will investigate the Ferodo DS2500s or whatever its called .. anyone suggest a cheap place to pick them up?

Ever thought just make adjustments until you dont scrub? just count how many turns/clicks you make and repeat all around

Why dont i read the above comments before posting .. Yeah what he said .. is basically on the same princable wrxhoon is on about

I dont think ive ever seen any car go around faster than a ae86 .. One minute I saw it grinding my teeth at the corner it was taking and the speed it was doing .. then in the blink of an eye without even a touch on the brake it was gone around the corner with a STI struggling to keep up.. Since then ive loved the car.. but yeah abit old but nice very nice Just wanted to post my thoughts on them

Dont have to be stationary and can be clocked comming either way .. however needs to lock on for a minimum 3 seconds .. which is why you brake hard when you see one.. thats how i got out of mine .. he was pretty disapointed too Id also ask for backup photo etc to prove it .. And no they cant book you on visual assumptions .. and in nsw they have to have video or radar readings to back up claims .. But this is obviously dropped if they see you driving at insane speeds.. but they've got little chance catching up then dont they .. Sorry they can book you .. but the fine will be thrown out in court .. well if you dont drive a skyline or modded car obviously because we are prime targets. This is NSW law not WA sorry mate no idea with WA

Just How Good Can A Skyline Handle?
DECIM8 replied to Lachlan33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
In regards to tyre presures.. A good general rule is use is 10% minus you max presure.. I.e 44psi max = 39.6PSI (offhand if i remember correctly) so rounding up to 40PSI for good wear and good handling .. Just tested this theory with good results in my car with nan krap (kang i mean) went spinning around tight corners with 40psi vrs 36psi and the difference was huge.. personally I think nankrap tyres are really bad, blown up to 40psi I could come out of corners with no wheel spin and fast and it also reached higher rpm before wheel spin in first 5,600 vrs 4,700 they are also about 20% tread.. But I assume this will not work for everyone however I nicked the idea from the tyres guide someone posted a link to one day.. just felt like testing it I have no results for tyre wear. -
Just How Good Can A Skyline Handle?
DECIM8 replied to Lachlan33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes .. but handling includes oversteer and understeer as well as body roll etc.. with a wider tyre you will most likely drastically reduce slide enhancing handling.. But this goes hand in hand with tyres -
thanks alot I deff think I boiled the fluid but i drove home on the freeway for a good hour in 10 degree temps at 100+km without touching the brakes .. it was then I realised they had been rooted... So ill give it a go for another week or so .. they stop but just harder .. might buy some new pads .. they are only nissan stockers anyway
-
but it worked fine before and now it works shit house basically.. but before i.e after mountains I had the foot close to the floor with little/no brake? And yeah I tend to blab on sorry, grammar isnt my strong point either. Do you think the pads will wear "back to normal" or will they be forever shocking? i.e until I get new pads

Ive seen the ad and I cracked up laughing so hard.. It obviously applies to men because we have the highest death toll on the rd (young men 18-24) So why not focus on the bigger target? I thought the ad might actually effect some people driving .. made me actually find a funny side to being stupid lol it might catch on like the tosser ads run for littering

Shuddering Under Brakes
DECIM8 replied to Minko's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
sand the pads and machine the discs I rekon.. uneven surface? -
Hey guys Recently took the car for a spin through a mountain range .. within speed limit but heavy braking with alot of 25km/h corners by the return to sydney the brakes felt like I had 0 pads left.. But they are 70-80% still Straight to the mechanic .. Lucky I was booked in for the day and we went into the night with a few mods.. Anyway .. Bleed out fluid - Refilled Machined discs Rears only fronts are fine However underbraking now feels like its a old kingswood with stock booster and a wicked braking system .. I press down on the brakes slightly and get awesome braking if I push harder to slow its very hard to press and without much result. Now im assuming this is because the mechanic filled the fluid up past the full mark right to the top with no air in the system but would this cause such strange braking? I also feel the high heat and stock pads caused maybe a glazing over of the pad and its not working efficently any more? Could this happen? So in short.. 1* Remove the overfilled fluid? 2* Sand the brakes down? Cheers

I stand corrected I also thought this but I was informed I was priorly incorrect.. Seems they all suck!

all xenon globes are pricy .. aftermarket cheaper And a tip you'll need a special screw driver to remove the screw to access them if they are still xenon its a star driver with a centre hole .. dont know size or exact name

Boost works in dual stage 5 to 4500rpm and then 7psi from there after.. dual stage to prevent so much fully sik wheel spin ulleh.. HICAS lights up on traction loss over 70/kmh and this will engage 4 wheel steering and the back will adjust its rear wheels to compensate for drift and help control the car out of traction loss.. That button you have sounds like the nismo sound muffler which toggles between fully open which allows full exhaust sport performance and silent is when it closes to prevent unwanted attention or waking up your neigbours.. if you still have the system that is .. Use sport.. I dont think you'd want a short shifter .. I find it was to short from other cars ive driven your call tho .. you'll get used to the setting.. Cusco is a good one tho Good workshops in sydney id say Northen beaches performance are pretty good.. And yes skyline is a wicked machine with plenty of power.. play it easy for awhile because shes a RWD not a 4wd try remember that

h1 .. and use polarg h1 globes unless you have HID which I doubt.. now onto your other questions..
-
Sorry matie no can do .. but imported them from japan nissan however you can easily do a reconversion .. just need a ballast and xenon light holder and globe .. and a soldering iron .. if u remove the light you will see the soldered wires de-solder these solder the ballast to them open the light remove the halogen lamp and light and replace with xenon.. Id say using a after market item would work fine .. but check out the kit first to work it out I mean can see why not * I know this is all you have to do as ive compared old to new lights i got
-
Just so everyone knows .. Importing a new engine from japan is cheaper than getting it rebuilt here..

Street racing is a larger charge than "speeding" what speed was he doing anyway? Street racing in a organised circuit carries a larger penalty. If it had specators it will carry a huge charge because endagerment of life. Street racing is any type of driving performed on roads other than a private circuit, it includes drags, circuit, drifting the whole get up. If the police officer testifies the car did a burnout on leaving the mark thats 3 points if it was agravated (which to win id say it would be) it carrys 4 points Yes suspension is almost 100% and id say minimum 3 months with a massive fine.. so even if he launched it at the lights and the guy beside him did to if the police officer sees this as a race hes gone... The charge is similar to drug/drink driving high penalties because your stupid. I mean he is. And yeah i find your name funny with the comment you made too... You might want to suggest for his appearence in court to look decent. innocent will also work Just for your use www.rta.nsw.gov.au and the search feature - type in penalties and it will pop up PDF files for you to look at .. if your not in NSW and in VIC .. your rooted

Police Operations To Stop Modified Vehicles!
DECIM8 replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
hes only 18 ... poor fella u have to learn speeding is not going to get you far vrs a highway patrol .. sure you can floor it and hit the speed limiter and prob beat him in the begining .. they will catch up tho.. But I did have a dream I was in a cop chase (watched police chases that night) and damn that was a good run .. but i'd never do it in real life.. Not to mention at top speed 300km/h ish you puttin huge amount of strain on the engine and most likely if you hold it for awhile it will die.. blow up or ull crash.. dont speed, dont drink drive, dont drug drive... follow those rules and you'll be right .. you lose your licence kiss ur turbo machine goodbye too And I am such a post whore .. but i seriously back this
