  1. More opinions needed. RB26 running all bolt on gear. Current power figure of 342kw atw. Next step for me is cams, cam gears and valve springs. Maybe head work but for the point of this exercise we will leave this part out. Looking at Kelford items but need a little guidance. Pretty laggy atm and want boost to come on quicker. Was thinking 280 inlet and exhaust with spec card below: Engine Make: Engine Model Part Number: NISSAN RB26DETT R32 & R33 Mechanical L182-C Camshaft Valve Clearance: Intake: 0.25 SET COLD AT CAM Exhaust: 0.3 SET COLD AT CAM Cam Lift: Intake: 9.2 Exhaust: 9.2 Rocker Ratio: Intake: 1 Exhaust: 1 Nett Valve Lift: Intake: 8.950 Exhaust: 8.900 Advertised Duration @ 0.35mm Intake: 282 Exhaust: 282 Duration @ 1.00mm VALVE LIFT Intake: 242 Exhaust: 242 Timing @ 1.00mm VALVE LIFT IVO: 11 BTDC EVO: 57 BBDC IVC: 51 ABDC EVC: 5 ATDC Suggested Centre Lines: Intake: 110 ATDC Exhaust: 116 BTDC VALVE Lift @ TDC Intake: 1.96 Exhaust: 1.33 Recommended Valve Springs: Open Height: Open Pressure: KVS15 Closed Height: 38.5 Closed Pressure: 34 Application: 280 degree street performance camshafts, no cylinder head clearing needed or 272 with spec card below Valve Clearance: Intake: 0.25 SET COLD AT CAM Exhaust: 0.3 SET COLD AT CAM Cam Lift: Intake: 9.2 Exhaust: 9.2 Rocker Ratio: Intake: 1 Exhaust: 1 Nett Valve Lift: Intake: 8.950 Exhaust: 8.900 Advertised Duration @ 0.35mm Intake: 272 Exhaust: 272 Duration @ 1.00mm VALVE LIFT Intake: 234 Exhaust: 234 Timing @ 1.00mm VALVE LIFT IVO: 7 BTDC EVO: 51 BBDC IVC: 47 ABDC EVC: 3 ATDC Suggested Centre Lines: Intake: 110 ATDC Exhaust: 114 BTDC VALVE Lift @ TDC Intake: 1.6 Exhaust: 1.2 Recommended Valve Springs: Open Height: Open Pressure: KVS15 Closed Height: 38.5 Closed Pressure: 34 Application: 272 degree street/strip performance camshafts, no cylinder head clearing needed Thoughts and opinions please people. 2. That would have been me. I think I may have been at the movies.

  4. I had a similar problem with a set of HKS coils. I tried Fulcrum but they dont do those types of aftermarket jobbies. I was put on to a guy by the name of Mohammed at TSR down at Slacks Creek. Pretty good service and reasonably quick turn around. They also do the complete fitting and calibrating. It was a long time ago now but I am fairly sure it cost me around $1200 for recondition and fit/calibrate on all 4 coils. COuld be worth a look. Link below. http://www.shockreco.com.au/index.htm Good Luck.
  5. and still no word on the amount of money we raised?
  6. You cant tell me that the money raised is still being counted!
  7. There may have been a little sarcasm there Anna. Good to know that SAUQLD are thorough though. Also, how is the money presented to charity. It would be good to see the reaction of whoever recieves it from the charity. It's a good feeling to make someones day.
  8. Geez we must have raised a bit of cash if the counting up is still taking place.
  9. Just as a matter of interest, does anybody know how much we raised for Youngcare? Would be good to know!!!!!
  10. Was a great day. Heaps of cars, good people and a great drive, dirt road included (adds to the thrill). When's the next one?
  11. M thinks its time to show my ugly mug again and bring out the rar for a run. Looking forward to it. Pinelands @ 8am sounds like a plan.
  12. Try Vonny out at Dynotunz @ Browns Plains. Don't have his number on me but let your fingers do the walking. I could not recommend anyone else, and I have tried a few tuners.
  13. I have Trust T517z's on my 32 GTR. They are a little laggy but when they come on (around 3800 - 3900 rpm) they are on to stay. A set of cams and cam gears, get it on boost a little earlier and no worries. Most of you may think this a little silly but 342kw on 24psi, at the rear wheels on stock internals I feel is not a bad effort. The only hickup which has just recently happened after about 1 1/2 years of running these turbos is 1 of the air flow meters let go. Time to upgrade to z32's. For those of you who are interested the upgrades to date are the following: Power FC AVCR HKS Fuel Pump HKS 680cc Injectors Turbosmart Fuel Reg Apexi Pod Filters Trust T517z's (8cm Housings) Twin stainless split dumps Nismo Exhaust Trust FMC plus the usual gauges, seats, steering wheel, rims, suspension upgrades etc. Mods to follow in the very near future are Z32 AFM's, Splitfire coil packs, cams and cam gears. Then start saving again for rebuilt motor.
  14. Just because you were told that it was replaced for a new one, doesnt mean it happened. Sounds a bit untrustworthy but I myself have been bitten before. Could be worth a look. Just a thought.
  15. It all comes down to what money you want to spend, what power you want out of your car, and how easy you want the exchange to be. I think most pumps that people have mentioned will all do the job you are after. I have an R32 GTR so not too sure what if any differences there are in the fuel pump setups between models but speaking from personal experience, I would not use Walboro again. At the moment I have a HKS item (was the biggest intank item I could find at the time which flowed the most) which comes complete, plugs and all and was a direct swap for the original. Simply slide the old pump out of the cradle, disconnect it and slide the other straight in. Connect the plugs, lines etc, slide in the cradle, back together and away you go. I am currently supporting 341 kw's at the wheels and no problem with lack of fuel. At the end of the day, do the research, way up all the pros and cons (cost, ease of install etc.) and make your decision. Good luck with whatever way you go.
  16. I have an R32 GTR. Air Flow meters are still standard (other parts not standard but as we are talking just afm's didnt feel necessary to list) and on 24psi I am putting out 341kw at the wheels. My tuner is telling me however that the afm's are now at or close enough too their max.
  17. Does anyone have an idea on where I may be able to pick up the plastic plugs that plug into the coils. Due to heat over the years, one of the plugs has become rather brittle and disintegrated the last time I changed my sparkplugs, therefore I need some new coil plugs. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. I am definitely intersted. Will see how I go.
  19. It just so happens I am in the same boat. I have a 92 R32 GTR. Pump is on the fritz. When under load (on the throttle) the car starts to stagger a little (definately gasping for fuel). I have decided on a Walboro outfit. I wanted to keep it in tank and not set up an external, that is why I went for Walboro. Bosch do have the in tank jobbies but I would basically be replacing the stock one for one of about the same size. The Walboro pump I am getting is good for 700hp and flows 300Ltrs/min and is setting me back around $260. As I will be upgrading the engine quite considerably I figured I may as well get the pump now. Once I have fitted it the Power FC goes in and then tuned and so on and so forth.
  20. Happy birthday Andy. Hope you are having a good day.
  21. If the kit comes low you may have to raise the car to avoid the bumps. These are Brisbane roads.
