I know that it runs my mate is over there on business and has recently purchased it after driving it. The reason it is for track use only is because of the cost to return it to stock. No accident history. Essentially this car is still a private sale. My mate also lists it on a couple of other sites such as Prestige. The more eyes to see it the better.

Deren. You probably get sick of people saying this but what you are doing is truly inspiring to say the least. Such dedication. I would absolutely love to see the car. I myself own a 32 GTR and like alot of other people here would love to go to the extent that you are. I know it is definately possible and to see what you are doing, and the posts you make of your progress in such detail only helps the cause. I would love to meet up with you one day and have a chat on what seems to be a truly rewarding experience.

Very unlucky. Either it was just a coincedence that you got pulled over a few times or as stated already, the cops got on the blower to other units to nab you as they were obviously bored because the doughnut shops were closed or there was no murders, rapes, drug deals etc to solve. (No sarcasm here) Now I'm not to up to scratch on the laws down there in Victoria but lets be bloody fair. Yes there are some mods that are illegal but come on. An electronic boost controller, a pod filter, a blow off valve (understandable I guess with emissions but if hidden and not boosted around police), wipers being slightly worn out, one of the rego plate lights, a dirty engine bay for f*&k sake. Fair enough the HKS Exhaust for maybe being to loud but minor. Yeah...... This screams illegal to me. How abought analy retentive cops who had nothing better to do. You wouldnt be a tad upset if you got busted for this. Im sure.

I was at my mechanics workshop the other day, and he had a customer bring in a new maloo ute. He told me to have a look at the brakes on it as he had just fitted my new dba's. Upon first looking at them, they appeared to be cross drilled and slotted Brembos, all round. Upon closer inspection and after my mechanic told me to have a closer look, I tapped the callipers and sure enough, plastic Brembo covers. Have you ever seen a grown man in tears and just about rolling on the ground with laughter in the middle of a carpark outside a mechanics workshop. I dont know why but for some reason it just hit a funny nerve. Easily amused. Dunno, but it was funny.

I know there isnt that much to straight line driving but it would also come down to the driver. I like the Ninja scenario better though.

It would suck though to know that you own a certain car, having it on the other side of the world and not being able to drive it. What gets me is all the imports you see that can only be imported for race/rally only. If you look at some of them there does not appear to be anything too wrong with them. Some are absolutely nuts which probably explains the statement I just made. Oh well.......

Was a good day. Thanks to Col for organising the event. A big thanks to Mark at Godzilla for the use of his facilities. Very impressed with the whole thing. Will definately be taking my car there for future works. I must thank him especially for telling me about the too lean problem with my car. Shame though. Wanted to see the difference the front mount and boost restrictor removal made since the last dyno day. Oh well, time for power fc now, and sooner rather than later. Pictures welcome.

As it is an offence to flash other drivers to warn them of a radar up ahead, perhaps the police thought that is what had happened. Power tripp is all by the sound of it though.

Most of the system was in my old line except for the audison amp, and the headunit. The earth wire coming from the headunit is simply has a connector on the end of it which goes under the tightened screw of the side brackets of the headunit.

Definately get an accident report. It is essential in explaining your argument. Cop was just being lazy. Fair enough if there was only a bit of paint exchanged but if dented panels and just about ripping your front bumper off that has got to be enough. Hope everything works out for you.

Wires and cables being the same thing could be argued. Anyways, I'm only shit stirring hey. When I checked all the wiring/cables, I was referring to mainly RCA's and cables to the amps, speaker cables and head unit cables. As far as I can find there is an earth cable which runs from the head unit, and as the two amps are connected I think there is one earth from them. As I never installed the system, I should probably just go to my installer but I was hoping to try and figure it out myself.

Dont get emotional. I did say I checked all the cables. Not the wires eg earth. Again... dont get emotional.
