Tell me if im reading you right- can use RB25de (R32) short motor and replace my bottom end with it ( assumeing i will use the 25de crank/Rods ) Bore can stay as is and bolt everything back up from original motor.. cheers for the info Joel

Joel you put up a good arguement in favour of ditching the 2L in place of a 3L , But i'd like to hear ppl's opinion's of hassled faced at the engineering/registration stage (is a 3L in a 32 legal)?? Also the parts you said you have bought was that all thats needed to do this conversion or are there other misc expenses like new exhaust manifold and so on????

wouldnt a Rb20 stroked RB24 be cutting it a bit thin (significantly weaker Block) I mean from a long term reliability point of view

ohhh shite...Is this a part that takes ages to order in and cost a mint to buy and install or should a nissan dealership have it on the shelf so to speak... where should i go to fix it, will i need to go to a per4mance workshop or can i just go to a normal mech??? sorry for 20 Q's this is pretty much the first mech problem I've ever had with my car and im a bit freaked out...

Hey guys... Just noticed on the drive home from work tonight.. That the engine fan "whines" (as best as i can describe the sound a Fan makes) really loudly at idle it sounds fine it goes of it's nut, So bad it sounds like it's going to spin itself of the car. Any idea's on what it could be??? There's no other (abnormal) sounds from engine bay. The radiator was about 1.2L short on water (dont know for how long) I filled it up but prob is still there. I need any suggestions, Bearings, ?? do they run a clutch??? Im gonna take it to a mech but if it's a simple something i can fix id rather do it myself... cheers guys.

KNORE i dont get it were the cars impounded for speeding ?? or Are they alleging that you guys were racing ?? (in the same lane)?? This sounds like a load of BS and I would also pursue this matter and not only would i want to reverse all charges (infringements) whatever. I would try to have the Officer's brought to some sort of justice for their discriminatory behaviour. ps; almost $1000 and impounded car is a whole lot more worth fighting for than a $200 odd fine and 2 points.

Not really when you think about the time it's going to take and the costs involved it would be cheaper and a lot less hassle to pay the thing and move on. I know it's sad but true. Man i Cant beleive that you can get defected for a car thats not on the road (on trailor). What if your building your car up and trailoring from workshop to workshop can a cop pull you over and defect you for whatever?? ps; I think aus police are really not winning over hearts and minds with in the car enthusiest community by pulling "STUNTS" like these , I remember they did this at Eastern Creek last year defecting ppl upon entry and exit of the event. It's like NATS is the bait to Lure car enthusiests in and they see what they can hook, Now i dont condone dangerously modified car's and think they should be taken off the road as soon as possible but harrasement is harrasement .
