So easy to quote KW figures yet there so unreliable when you think about it. I reckon you got maybe 155 to 160 max from personal experience.(depending on dyno) ontop of what you been quoted bank on atleast on another 2k for things like Engine management fuel reg and cams. (cam gears aint much good without Cams to dial in on an RB20) 220 to 250 is asking alot from an rb20 dont get me wrong the rb20 is stron but getting that reliably might be alot more work. read expensive than you think. my 2c

I think the real issue is not what mod you do at what cost but more. The order in which you modify ie Pods and zorsts tend to come first. and are cheaper than rebuilds and big ext gate turbo setups.. So there's gotta be a sliding scale to determine the value of KW's to Dollars.

This could all be urban myth but a little while ago I heard someone say that 98RON is going to be wound back to 96RON and even 95RON so i started asking everytime i'd put fuel in at Shell or BP or Mobil id ask at the counter what octane it was and for all the fuels i was told it's 96RON apparently the CALTEX refinery where it all comes from they stopped running 98RON btw This is in sydney im talking about could be diff in other states.

Im not sure of the way it works where you are. Are you looking at importing one from Japan?? If so get in contact with some local workshop's who are eligable to import and comply a car for you this will give you an idea of the cost's involved with the whole process then you can put together a budget, Then how much you can spend on the actual purchase price of the vehicle becomes more apparent.

I think the rules state that you must atleast put a rough price that your after.. This not being Ebay and all...

It's not just boost that creates heat, Id say it's the condition where constant high levels of boost are experianced eg; On track that causes delamaination of the exhaust wheel and Not say running 1.1bar on street where you only really give it a quick squirt here and there.

I dont think the turbo's are really as bad as ppl say they are, I think it's heat that kill's them and not boost.

I gotta agree with tony on this one, Scenario.. Two 11second passes in two different R32's one with rb26 and the other with standard rb20 the latter I think deserves more Kudos as it is clearly a greater achievement., And i think thats the point tony was trying to make. But what do i know i've never driven a car down those 400 meters myself.
