  9. Speaking only from experience and not theory my car use to have idle issues when i had a vent to atmo turbosmart BOV (apparently it would stick open ) Now i run no BOV and there is no Idle issue's at all. Dont know what you mean by backfire. (please elaborate) But if there is an idle issue there is another problem.. So yeah no BOV rund fine NO issues whatsoever..
  10. Has anyone got coilovers and is still using the original pillowballs instead of the solid ones, and if so how did this go ,??
  11. sorry dude but thats a pretty silly question....
  12. DJ.. Im not sure you totally understand how it works. The Flutter is made when the compressed air is forced back through the Turbo Due to the Throttle body closing (lift of throttle) The air has to go somewhere. A BOV negates the need for air to be forced through turbo via to methods. 1.Legal ; Venting back to the Intake before the Turbo via a line "plumbed" from after turbo to before turbo 2Illegal ; Venting to atmosphere . Point; If you really like the "flutter" get rid of your BOV but know that it will reduce the life of your turbo. good luck... Andrew..
  13. are you driving the 32 up aybee
  14. agree with elk i prefer the clutch fan over thermo it may not look as pretty but i find it more reliable no chance of an electrical fault that would stop the fan and you not noticing...
  15. Just got a nismo 2 way yesterday and were putting it in tonight hope i have the same gains in drivability minus the knock offcoarse
  16. i thought gtr97V was the white 33 i always see on new line road/mid dural rd??? hmm maybe not
  17. I think Messiah meant the other 1/2 of your zorzt ie Turbo back w/ High flow cat I would'nt bother with turbo timer.. Do you have a plan as to what the end GOAL for your car is, If you do what is it, If you dont then you should think about what you want from the car and what you want to do with it. ( It will save you alot of money )
  18. Thanks Christian.. That would be great if something could be worked out, But if not i guess it's my bad for not coming to the drift day.. Cheers Andrew
  19. Roy my only worry with using the 26 Crank and rods is that you might end up having to take too much out of the block.. Thoughts on this??? ohh and i tottaly forgot about the head mathc porting and cams would really be par for the course if your doing everything else stated, You say valvesprings in your experiance have you found them to be a weak link??? cheers
  20. Try doing a search on this topic over the last couple of weeks there's been plenty of dicussion on the topic..
  21. I could be wrong but there has to be a big difference between a car that is setup to handle well and a car that is setup to drift well. Oh and forgot to mention im on a pretty tight budget and was looking to go second hand parts (where possible)
  22. Is the only way to get in via invitation???? This event has got ME written all over it.... But honestly if there is a way that i could enter can someone let me know?? cheers.. Andrew
  23. Im looking at setting up the R32 for various upcoming Drift comps this year (mainly the full-lock events) I know it's probably the best platform for this but it's different and im comfortable letting it hang out in it and thats enough for me.. the story goes so far already have.. Adj Castor rods Front strut Brace lowered springs (too soft) Still to Come Pinapples HICAS lock kit mech LSD Now comes springs and shocks, What i need to know is do i have to go coilovers (as this is my daily drive) but as is the car does have a lot (way too much) of role under extreme cornering. Can this be resolved with Really stiff springs and swaybars or do i have to bite the bullet and go coilovers, I am after that neutral flat ride. Cheers guys...
  24. of then so... Rb25 Crankshaft Rb26 Connecting Rods 82mm Forged Pistons Bore CC to suit new Piston Diamiter Modify head Ports Now... HKS 2835pro external manifold Tuned length manifold PLus All the usual peripherals. PFC 550cc inj Pump (910 or 044) reg (if needed) And A bit of longjevity for the engine aluminium Rad Oil cooler Have i left anything out here??? Assuming this kinda setup allows safetly running 20-25 Psi and turbine and compressor sizes matched to this application, With your experiance what kinda power could this hybrid RB20 pump out...?? The rational behind my thinking is that whilst it can be done with RB25-30 or with rb25de thats all well and good. But IF it can also be done with the original rb20 well that if more my style.. Id prefer to make more power with less capacity.. Any thoughts or suggestions??
