Oh sweet it was you then just got a couple of Q's about it./ I bought one a couple of weeks ago wont go into it, But a whole lot of stuffing around later it was as useful as well, Something pretty F***ing useless. (never again with second hand) But anyways I have ordered a new GT Pro 2way Nismo LSD. Now a friend just recieved his and After the initial "bedding" in process was complete, The diff seemed to operate fine Was set on it's softest setting, Then it went from chirping (like a locker) on tight turns, Carparks etc to really rough "clunking". with about 2 weeks or so from chirps to clunks. Now surely this is not normal...is it? Only thing i can think of is that maybe it only operates "properly" on the tighter settings as the clunks sound like something is loose or broken, However wont these tighter settings pretty much turn it into a locked diff (more or less). If so why did i spend X amount on this diff when i could have bought a second hand center and welded it up for like 10% of the cost???

So what are they then..?? :confused: Also steve im may be wrong but was it you that just installed the nismo LSD ??

Still You gotta think that we are witnessing history in the making with shummy dominating so thouroughly for this long with no sign of letting up His statistics are pretty impressive, And seem to be only rising further and further apart from those of past greats.

Rbsil.. Few questions and opinions.. Did you swap the Rb20 with a ca18 or sr20? What are your goals in building your car? I would assume Drift. The reason you stated for disliking the the Rb25 was that the 26 is better surely thats not logical. Now if your building the 20 so you can pull a peak power on a dyno and say that's what a 2L can do, Thats one thing but if it's Average power across the rev range you want (which equates to a quick street/track car) then with similar mods the 25 will win everytime.

for roughly 3.5 to 4k you can have an rb25 supplied and fitted. Then you have a solid platform for a very quick streetcar. 250kw from rb20 would be a slow of boost and when it does come onto boost traction or lack thereof would be a major hinderance. Thats assuming you do end up getting 250rwkw out of the rb20 dont count on doing it cheaply around 10k and then you really have nowhere to go. Once again depends on your driving style and budget. There's not too many 250kw rb20's on the street it would definately get respect.. my 0.02

Extra rev's needed to make the power would wreck that reliability advantage. What your budget?? rb25/30 hybrid id want atleast 15K to do it right after all is done. If the 25t is not enough for you why not just to get 26?? just some thought...

So what did you decide on??? Im about to do the same with 25t into 32 sick of no torque peaky engine there's to much fuss trying to get decent power out of them. Id say it's more economical to do a 25t conversion then build that up way more power, more easily extracted have to lean on the 20t too much for any real kinda numbers.

watch out with second hand LSd's.. I bought a nismo 2way second hand for 1K and the clutch pack was totally wasted basically the thing was useless. Just ordered a brand new Nismo 2way comes with everything for 1800. cost more i know but it's the real dealand you know exactly what your getting. No as far as all the S15's ive seen they are viscous LSD.

i had 2 3/4 inch zorst POD w/ no shielding or CAI FMIC on a 32degree day at 12psi made 163@rearwheels

you will need to rewire the plug to suit the different AFM but it is fairly straightforeward
