  2. Gorgeous cover shot Nick. Now paint that @$#$#$ engine bay.
  3. f**k off Josh
  4. Ta Tezz.
  5. I am using basically the same setup as described by Gary. One minor modification I did to expediate things down the track was to put a an extra join in the drain back line close to the head but accessible enough to get at. Reason being The first time i lifted the head for a valve upgrade it was a total pain in the arse trying to lift the head off the arp studs as the hose wasnt long enough and it is nigh impossible to get to the back of the head to disconnect it. Doing a cam upgrade atm and it sure bore fruit. A couple of clamps and off she comes. Great thread this.
  6. The amount of water you get to your pod is negligible. I have a similar setup to yours and it isnt an issue. I also have a temerature probe in my engine monitor and did some before and after testing with the cold air intake and box. I saw up to 80degrees prior to the cold air but havnt seen 40 since i fitted it. even at speed there is still a noticable difference in temp inside the box. Its a well worthwhile excercise.
  7. I'm surprised he didnt have it covered with a baseball cap.
  8. Specialist race shops have great helmets but the bike shops turn over way more and can usually do better prices.
  9. I LOL'd
  10. So we can expect the "convertible" look now depending on which way the wind is blowing?
  11. I've driven a few porkas Roy in circumstances that would hardly scare even granny . I havnt and most likely wont drive a 35 gtr but when i see a car perform so effortlessly i can not help but be impressed. I can only imagine where the fineline is crossed in the gtr to make it as unstable and as much a handfull as the porka. I do wonder at the way the porsche was set up, It is my understanding that the rear engined car is generally more tail happy than the yellow beast in the video. It begs the question, Did the powers that be set the car up in the knowledge that journos with varying skill levels would be driving it, Understeer is easier and more instinctive to bail out of than oversteer. As for street creds, Sure, the porka has it in spades. However I do believe the 35 has already narrowed the gap and will only continue to add to its kudos courtesy of videos like this one.
  12. hey what coilovers did you get bud?
  13. Too much rum on your weetbix Roy.
  14. You havnt proved it yet mr. cheesecutter.
  15. the 30/40 unless you are doing head mods and cams etc, Mine has extensive mods in this area and i see full boost by 4100 rpm, plenty of playroom to 8500 rpm. If you are going lowmount I reckon you should at least look at an aftermarket manifold as the stocker becomes a hindrance once you start making up around the high 200 kw's atw's.
  16. 3 years is enough providing he fesses up as to what happenned to the car. If he doesnt then leave him there till he does. Easy Peasy.
  17. Yeah Mark. f**k off.
  18. Cough up the furball and go catch mice.
  19. yeah, I think I'd like to be under the covers too.
  20. You buy a supra and I'll shit in the aircon vent.
  21. Sux the big one dude. What really gets up my nose tho is the disparity in effort by the law. If you robbed 15 k from a bank or similar establishment you would be all over the front page. Steal some poor bastards car to that value tho and the effort put in to catch the offenders pales by comparison.
  22. I bear no malice Alice. As i said in a previous post, Brand competitiveness is as much a part of the hipo scene as pod filters. Yes 10's on street tyres is damn fast but not earth shattering, Skylines run those times and better on less power and faster on similar power. Dragme's black gtst (yes....GTST) is one that comes to mind. As a matter of fact my latest round of upgrades will be done in another week or so and if all goes according to plan I hope to run in the high 10's/low11's as well and with less power than that (Its a lowly gtst too). So howbout we organize a friendly grudge match For regularly driven street cars (not workshop test mules masquerading as street cars) with the winner getting a free enlargement of any appendage of their choice. We are local to each other however our paths havnt crossed as yet. A night at the digs could be a good opportunity.
  23. At What Alicia? Drags, circuit, Hillclimb, Targa, ? Where do these vehicles actually compete?
  24. Do what i did, Signature performance do an adjustable lower control arm for 33 lines. The amount of camber adjustment I have now is ridiculous. If you are serious about some serious camber pm me and i will get you the detais.
