  1. All good points Gary but, where are they over here. There is no shortage of them on the street but when the green flag drops at either drag or circuit they are conspicuous by their abscence. When one does show its face it draws plenty of looks not because its a supra but merely because its there. I would have thought that if these cars had so much unleashed potential then more people would be trying to exploit it. As far as engine toughness goes a built engine is a built engine. No shortage of rb's making big numbers and as for the oiling mod, Its so darn easy to do it isnt even worth mentioning. To those that like the supra I say good for you. Brand rivalry has been around forever and is as much a part of the scene as pod filters. Done in the right spirit it can also be a tunnafun.
  2. f**k off
  3. Then thought is your master again. I am much grumpier than that.
  4. I didnt say the brakes were an upgrade, the dickhead supra driver who begged me to part with them did. As for the rb oil issue "ON THE TRACK" Yup! thats where you'll find the rb. Wheres the supra? At the metrosexual hairdressers gettin its arse shaved no doubt. And if you think an elephant with its arse chopped off looks good I can see why you like supras.
  5. Thats really gotta burn your ass bro. Heres hoping they get their comeuppance.
  6. I dont know a whole lot about the supra as it was never a consideration when i was looking for my car. Its looks alone deterred me right from the get go. 2 observations come to mind however, One being the laugh I got when I upgraded my gtst brakes to a brembo setup and had a supra driver climbing all over me to sell him my stock nissan brakes. Apparently the nissan brakes are considered an upgrade on the supra. (rolls eyes) The other being the lack of supras I see at performance venues, I regularly attend and participate in my local drag (willowbank) tnt nights and time attack (QLD raceway), There are plenty of skylines mostly street driven pounding the asphalt at both venues but it is an absolute rarity to see a supra at either. Most of the supra activity around here involves bling wheels, A very large ironong board on the boot and just cruising the main street with drivers cock hanging out the window saying "Look at me" One can only assume that the line attracts a sportsman whereas the supra attracts the posers. To each his own I guess but the posing deal leaves me cold. Also interesting to note is that I see and am involved with far more skyline peeps than supra types but i have seen as many if not more of these so called unbreakable jz motors come to grief than RB's.
  7. Who farkin cares.
  8. I,ve used xforce in the past and they are fine. A tad louder than some but a great free flowing exhaust nonetheless.
  9. I recall commenting on how clean and straight this car was at the charity cruise mate. GL with the sale.
  10. This same tuner doess my 25 to just under 500 hp hp atw's and I can tell you he is very pedantic about the way he goes about it. even at lower boost baz" car will kick arse through the midrange as most of his tunes do. 1 bar is only just starting to touch on the real efficiency in the turbo and i am betting that boost will come on noticeably quicker when the wick is wound up. He also tunes several of our local community lines around the switch area including several of my buds and does a splendid job particularly of tuning the low midrange area where most of these cars do their kicking. I am keen to see you put a few kays up and then get it back for a bit more oomph Baz, If you think it hauls now it should rock then.
  11. Hey stranger, Howyadoin bud.
  12. At last Baz, It sure took some sorting. Had a look at your line when it was on the hoist at micks and i cant help but think theres plenty left in it just by replacing the standard cat. Congrats on getting it up and going mate. cya round the switch.
  13. Swaybars FTW. Definitely the best first suspension mod you can make. I also found pineapples to be great value for money. cheap as and really tighten the car up.
  14. Yes it has Shane. Its just starting to flake on the underside of the housing closest to the manifold. I am surprised it lasted as long as it did. Take plenty of pics of it while its all shiny and new Adrian. It will soon turn to a much duller silvery grey. Looks bloody magnificent as it sits.
  15. If it is on boost by late 4 i will be totally surprised. I am running a 25 with similar build specs to that car running a 35/40 and I dont see full boost till 4100.
  16. Had a look through the shopping list on that car too. Impressive as all hell apart from the totally gay interior. Only negative I can see is the turbo choice. That car would lag like a schoolboy who hasnt done his homework. Wouldnt be hard to turn it in to a response monstor tho.

Must be geoff, I drink bundy.
  19. Mate with a similar 33 to me used the clark rubber dealio and i copied his. We also ducted from the front bar using alloy 4 inch aircon ducting from bunnings. I have a temp probe on my ruzzic engineering engine monitor so we did some before and after tests to see just how effective it was. The temp differences are amazing. Driving. pre CAI...45/ 55Degrees. post CAI....27 to 33 degrees. (ambient temp plays a part. stationary. Pre CAI....75 plus degrees. post CAI 30/35 degrees (again depending on ambient) Lift the bonnet after driving the car and feel the insulation material. On the engine side its hot to touch but on the pod side it is way cool. This stuff works and the car responds better when you bury the boot. The shield we made involves 2 layers of the insulating material sandwiching a hard plastic inner sheet to give the stuff some rigidity. Across the rear section on the front of the strut tower we used a foam block to fully isolate the area from the engine bay. For my money I say just do it.
  20. I am using the greddy with great results on my 25. The head is off atm for larger cam installation. This is the 2nd time I have lifted the head since we built the engine and on both occasions the evenness of the burn across all 6 has been very impressive. It would appear that the greddy does offer very even distribution and certainly has no probs delivering enough to make good power. The cleaner engine bay is just another plus for this style of plenum. Thumbs up all the way from me.
  21. HSD, I am running them in my 33 and they are too damn low for my liking. 3 months old and for sale if you are interested. I want something a little higher.
