Jack brothers are big on cylinder head mods and are equipped with some of the best kit in the country. Surely they can tell you what is required via the flowbench etc what is required to achieve your goal. Failing that speak to John Hill at JHH engineering. John has built some high horsepower RB's and is a guru head on mods required to make certain power levels. Damn nice old guy too.

If only the yanks had the same access to the rb as they did to the yota j engines for all these years. They are power mad and would have taken the rb to places we never dreamed of. I predict 2000 plus horsepower gtr's on the drag strip within a surprisingly short time frame. Given what they have done with the v35, The extra cubes of the 3.7 will only enhance what they are capable of.

That blue 33 almost made me vomit. It was the tackiest 33 I have ever seen. Some good action on the strip. Willo ran a pb in the mid 11,s and took runner up in street AWD. The little datto ute ran an amazing high 7 pass and the gas motorsport camry rocked in a couple of high 6 second passes at just under 200 mph. Freakin awesome.

Mark motson at tony motsons performance swears by the link. Hes a damn good tuner too.

the larger housing is now on and yes it does alter the exhausrt note. Power comes on later tho that is to be expected on a 25. The engine is on a mild tune at the moment making 335 killer wasps at 20 lb. No timing or cam dial in yet. thats next weeks project I am hoping it may bring boost on a tad earlier as I dont think the power delivery would be much chop for track work. Any hoos, we'll see what happens with a few more pound of boost and some cam and timing work.

Your workforce has evaporated for one reason or another, Its too hard so you took the easy option. You got your 26 t/b on the cheap and then sold it for closer to its true value. I grew up in the muscle car era culminating in ownership of a HT 350 gts bathurst monaro which i subsequently threw bucketloads of money at to make it faster. (sound familiar) To me nothing could match the effortless way that car would bury you in the seat when you hit the loud pedal. Those cars did handle to a point courtesy of the Harry firth school of suspension which simply taught that making the car as hard as possible prevented body roll. It also bashed your kidneys to death and shook your teeth out but we didnt care in those days. I loved every moment of owning that car and truly regretted selling it to do the family thing. Fast forward 25 years and here i am at it again. It never leaves you. I was totally amazed by the all conquering gtr,s at Bathurst but after driving a couple i still wasnt convinced that it was where i wanted to go. In a hypo sity the gtr rocked but as a car to punt around I didnt like it at all. Too front heavy and just reminded me of driving my 4bee. I had pretty much made up my mind that a small block in a torry was where i would go Until....A revelation!!!!!. Not all skylines I saw were gtr's. LOL. I had never heard of a gtst until i spoke to a couple of young dudes in very nice 33's one day. Today i am the proud owner of one very tuff 33 gtst and my son has the 77 model 202 trimatic torry as his first car. I love the sound of v8's, they still send a shiver through me but to me nothing can compare to the incredibly smooth high pitched howl of an angry RB. My car literally throbs like a mini top fueller at idle and like a pissed off mountain lion on boost. As much as i respect the bent iron brigade I will see out my high performance days on full boost thank you very much.

quite possibly mate but dont forget you would still be up for a 26 plenum and t/b combo plus a new exhaust manifold as well. Given that a new greddy 25 plenum and o/s t/b will set you back around 12/1300 it really doesnt make the 26 adaptor plate look all bad.

Not every body has access to mates that work for cartons of piss Mafia. This project has been undertaken utilising the services of proffessional and trade people from go to whoa. They dont work for peanuts or grog and even if they did they would be raving alcoholics after the first dozen or so of these "carton" payments you allude to. The project was started because there was enough interest shown by members (including me) to warrant investing the r and d dollars in to making it a viable proposition. If you have access to sites that sell the plates for around the 3/350 mark then please post them up. Failing that get a ute and head for the bottle o and load up with Mckay currency and start making them. I would also like access to the 26 plenum and throttle bodys you mentioned. I cant find them anywhere for that price. You can try and impress us all you like with your knowledge and thats fine but until you have actually undertaken the project and seen it through to the end you truly have no idea of the time and costs involved in presenting the finished product. Another aspect of this deal that obviously escapes you is the business aspect of this venture. As I said,Not everybody works on the carton of piss contra currency system and i doubt these people are a benovolent society. If they wish to market the product through the regular channels of wholesaler to retailer themselves then the price has to reflect enough room to justify the retailers purchasing said product at a price that leaves them a margin. They arent there for practice either. At the end of the day the buying public will determine wether it succeeds or fails, I hope it succeeds. Fwiw I actually have the copy of HPI with the blitz adaptor plae advertised. its reccomended retail was higher than what these guys are offerring it for.

And my wifes brothers cousins sisters uncles dog was "GUNNA" do it too. The difference is, these people "DID" do it and did it darn well. And until you have done it you are blowing smoke.

You seriously have no idea. Just the development cost alone would frighten most off. I anticipated it selling for less than the stated price too but after seeing what is involved and the quality of the end product its worth every damn cent.
