I think the gt35r is going to give more power. You dont see those kind of results often on WA dynos with the 2860-5's. The response will be the same.

I would be taking it to a workshop. Besides labour you wont save that much on parts going else where. Remember also you must be comparing apples with apples. An ebay kit is most likely going to be cheap parts. Workshops will generally give you the quality parts worth the bucks. A 100km service is important for the sake of a small fortune you should get a pro to take care of it.

I like the idea of a 0.63 housing gt3076r turbo externally gated. I dont know of many that have tried this setup but i think if put together right it should work well. Then if you want more power in the top end you can always change your housing to a 0.82. I would have recommended the gt3071 but if you want to increase the power later on go the gt3076r and change over the housing.

way to much lag for a 25. I wouldnt go that setup unless it was a 3litre. Even still i think the gt3076r 0.82 in a 3litre would be my first choice. Id go for an external gate. I regret not getting one on my gt3076r

gave it a few more hours last night. The graphics are superb. PM-R33 you are right it says 1080i on the back i must of just glanced at it. Gameplay is fun. This is my first GOW game so i got to ask where did it get all its style ideas from. I must say besides the environment this game is much like ninja gaiden. Even the save points, bosses etc. Which style came first?

GOW 3 has 1080p support as per specs. So are you trying to say its not meant for 1080p? That means no ps3 game would be meant for 1080p. I understand that most ps3 games run a native 546p and all can be upscaled to 720p and those that are native 720p which is very few can be upscaled to 1080p.

Got it last thursday and played the first level. I cant say i am hooked yet. Havent played it since but will probably give it another crack tonight. It does upscale to 1080p but you have to trick your ps3 to do it. remove 72op in the settings and make sure 1080p is checked as well. It never automiatically scales to 1080p. However you need to re tick 720p for any other games that dont do 1080 other wise it reverts to 546p. Why the hell does it do that!

there wouldnt be any loss of power i would think it may just have a little unoticable missfire that would show up as knock. Happened to me. But to be honest it sounds like your tune as your knock levels went down when you put loss power down.

most quality workshops will charge about $450, If your NOR i would go to hyperdrive. $450 includes machine flywheel. You might fond workshops that charge less but dont be suprised when your clutch fails. For the sake of $50 take it to a pro.
