  1. Honestly get yourself a stock turbo and put it back on. Power difference probably wont be that much different consdering everything else is stock and holding it back. You'll get good response and better midrange, 4500rpm is crap. Then save up for a proper decent turbo. That's what i would do anyway.
  2. Hahaha cool site, would be cool if it was a bunch of guys with 9 second cars.
  3. Hey whats going on bud, how you been? Havn't seen you around for a while.
  4. Received mine from Karl today. Very nice bit of gear Thanks again buddy.
  5. Oh ok, so you mean what from the GTR can be used on the GTST as a good upgrade? There isn't a whole lot, and if there is most of the time an aftermarket part can be had for similar money. Off the top of my head the best ones are: GTR Seats GTR Intercooler GTR Fuel pump GTR Alloy bonnet Probably a couple of other things that i cant think of at the moment. Honestly there isn't a whole lot.
  6. Are we talking engine internals? Only real "upgrade" is the GTR rods.
  7. I had a split dump and went to a bellmouth. My split dump kept causing boost spikes and couldnt hold boost. Solved it with the bellmouth. I think 20rwkw (40ishHP at the engine) is a bit of a stretch. Maybe 5-10rwkw throughout the rev range yes.
  8. Are we 100% sure that it is a stock airflow metre though?
  9. Why would the engine let go? If the tune is fine there shouldnt be a problem with it at that power level. Obviously it's not going to last forever, but it definetely isn't to let go any time soon due to 275rwkw. The injectors being old standard ones and failing is the main concern i would be having. Unless that is what you ment?
  10. Well im the same, i dont really want to build it unless it goes bang. And if i did build one, id probably do a 3L. I have heard similar things, that RB25 rods aren't that bad. They aren't as good as GTR rods, but aren't usually the main cause to engine failure unless revved hard. I also heard that replacing the stock rod bolts with ARP items helps keep them together and this was a discussion that came up regarding whether you could do it by taking the sump off as it would be a relitively cheap upgrade to aid in keeping it all together. But yeah, i didn't think it could be done. However at the time i forgot about the ringland issues with RB's and if something was going to fail that would probably be it. How long has your stock bottom end being pushing that power for?
  11. Ahh f**k forgot about the ringlands, very true. So you guys don't think the factory rod bolts in 25's are a weakpoint? What is the most common failure on a RB25 when pushed towards the 500+HP mark? Ringlands and rod bolts no?
  12. Hey just to clear something up. With the main weakpoint of a RB25 appearing to be the factory rod bolts failing when pushed into high power (compared to RB26 factory internals), it is not possible to put a set of aftermarket rod bolts in with the engine in the car through the sump is it? I mean it is possible to do, however it can not be done correctly right? Had a quick search but didn't find any threads about it. Cheers
  13. Get yourself some ratchet spanners, best advice for doing a plenum swap. Trust me on that i've had mine off and on a half dozen times.
  14. Sweet, looking forward to more pics
  15. HEY!!HEY!! Looks like i stumpled across something good at 1.30am
  16. +1 Black leather, red stitching
  17. Can you get the Greddy oil filter sandwich plate with thermostat to hook up an oil cooler, however not a relocation kit? I believe it is one of these pictures. Not 100% sure becuase Greddy make a few different ones. http://www.rhdjapan.com/home/search/search...trust+oil+block I just want one that i can run an oil cooler off but not relocate the filter and have a thermostat system. Thanks.
  18. Just use your fingernails. If you have difficulty taking it off warm it up a bit with a blow driver or leave the car out on the sun all day.
  19. Yep and yellow means 555s.
  20. More pics during the day please Looks good mate, a lot of us have wanted to do this mod, yours is probably the nicest i've seen so far. Since you have done it, do you believe the high beam one could be replaced just as easily with the projectors?
  21. What he said^ What year is the car?
  22. Hahaha i had to look at that for a moment to see what you were on about.
  23. Yeah i should have clarified that, i didn't mean you would have clearance issues on a stock high mounted turbo on a RB30, i ment a truck turbo on a RB30 or a poorly designed manifold on a RB30.
