  1. Not driving it at all at the moment. It will hardly idle & the way its blowing black smoke Id be lucky to get halfway down the rd without getting EPA'd in my neighborhood... I know exactly where youre coming from but is there any way to confirm what youre saying? Willing to go aftermarket or remapped ECU but only if I can be 99% sure it will solve my problems. That has been the plan all along but didnt want to go for remap with an underlying problem. Thanks for your input
  2. Goin bloody crazy since I put an RB25 in my R32 & it is overfuelling. Thinking AFM, O2 sensor, temp sensor, FPR or something along those lines so its just a process of elimination... With AFM got told to turn IGN on with AFM disconnected from intake (but still plugged in) & make sure hotwire is glowing. Have done this but cant see sweet FA. Does anyone know any specific tests for these? (voltage, resistance, etc) If so can you please include as much info as possible, like which pins to use, etc... Any help is appreciated. Cheers
  3. As Iv stated in a previous thread, Iv just fitted an RB25, R33 ECU & custom loom in my 32 & am having major overfuelling issues. I am running a custom GCG highflow, greddy-style plenum, GTR cooler & piping + some other bits & pieces so was planning on remapping the ECU. However I havn got around to remap but have fitted a 500hp walbro fuel pump. Seeming Im still using stock ECU, FPR, injectors, etc, could the pump be causing my problems? So bad I cant even drive it to mechanics for a fuel pressure check! Got told to remove fuel rail, turn IGN on & if pump is the problem my injectors should leak. Have done this & they dont leak. Just want some more opinions...
  4. Hey mate, I think the one you are not able to find is for aux air control valve (blue plug). Also the only difference between 32 & 33 ECU's is 2 injectors (no. 4 & 6 I think...) are reversed & obviously the lack of VCT. Doing same conversion right now. Good luck...
  5. I have just installed an RB25 in my R32, running R33 ECU & loom modified by slo32. Starts & runs pretty good when cold but as soon as it starts to warm up, black smoke POURS from the exhaust & the idle goes all up the shit. Timing is around 20 (when cold at least), have roughly checked coolant temp sensor (resistance drops as temp increases) & O2 sensor worked fine not long ago on old engine... Any ideas would be much appreciated. Will chuck some more info up tomorrow regarding mods, etc (been breathing fuel for a few hours so need to crash) but wanted to see if anyone could help at this stage. Does anyone have resistance specs for a good temp sensor? Cheers, Brett

Am in the middle of fitting an RB25 engine & R33 gearbox, among other things, into my 32GTST & a mate has offered me an OS-Giken triple-plate clutch, one-piece tailshaft to suit, GTR intercooler setup & some other trick-bits in return for my RB20. Car will probably only be making a maximum of 250rwkw at the moment so I know its probably overkill but at least I know I wont hurt it any time soon... Seem to have a habit of breaking clutch-fork pivots in my R32 gearbox already with an Exedy button-clutch, so am also going for a Nismo slave, fork & pivot. Just after some feedback from people who have had this clutch fitted to a similar set-up (not GTR). Also has anyone driven one of these with & without the Nismo slave & does it make much difference? Any help would be great. Cheers
  8. Can anyone with a manual 33 confirm that the gearbox code (serial number) is FS5R30A? Written on VIN plate... Came out of a 95' model not that it should matter. Just not written on case & no longer have car to check my VIN plate as box is going in a 32. If possible, please PM ASAP. Cheers

  11. I have upgraded the single-piston calipers on my 32GTST to 33GTST 4-piston fronts/2-piston rears & since doing so my brake pedal has never been right. The brakes have been properly bled, bleeder is at top. The first half of the pedal just feels like free-play... Has any1 had this problem before? I have the 33 master which I may fit to try & solve this but that requires a custom steel line... Any help would be appreciated
  12. As above. I am swapping my stock single-piston calipers for R33 GTST 4-piston fronts & twin-piston rears. Have R33 calipers, rotors, pads, master cylinder, booster & all lines but am wondering if I need to change master & booster? Obviously if I dont, it would make things a lot easier as from what I can tell, if I do use the R33 master I will have to have R33/custom lines running to it. Can any1 who has done this shed any light? It seems a lot easier to leave R32 master & all lines as they are, just install the rotors & calipers & get braided lines going to them... I am looking at doing this tomorrow so need help ASAP. Cheers

  17. I have an R32 GTST & the suspension is starting to go to shit... At the moment the front castor arms & front upper camber arms are shocking. I am wondering if adjustable arms are worth the extra money over nolathane/whiteline bushes? My front upper camber arms have so much movement Im a bit worried the pin/crush tube running through the centre might be munted. Any help would be great. Cheers
  18. I currently have an RB20 in my R32 but will soon be changing to either an RB25 0r 30. Do these 3 blocks share the same bellhousing pattern? i have an R33 manual box which I plan to recondition, put behind the RB20 for now & then leave it in when the engine gets swapped. Can I do this? Also how bout clutches? Any difference? Cheers
  19. Driving yesterday, my exhaust note suddenly changed & has gone very tinny. The car is running std. manifold, custom GCG turbo (with adaptor plate on exh housing, 2.5" dump. The noise seems to be coming from the manifold area but with the manifold, turbo, exhaust adaptor & dump pipe all so close it is hard to pinpoint the leak exactly. Anyone have any ideas? I know with intake leaks, u spray some carby clean around & revs will climb when it is sucked in... Was hopin some1 had a similar trick for exhaust leaks...
