  1. are you running stock injectors? bigger turbo? my car barely ran with these mods on an un-tuned emanage, mainly because of the base injector parameters (i'm not going to go back through 30 pages to look for your posts) edit: I found a couple of your posts, noticed you have ignition fault when you hook up the diagnostic consult, I actually get that fault as well (31 or something?)
  2. -what engine is this on? many mods like more boost etc? -have you set your boost limit cut settings? -um are you using a wideband to set your afr's?? -I just manually entered in my tps voltages, I don't think it will matter if it is 0.01V off, its only used for data logging anyway as far as I can tell. -What firmware is your emanage running? Ive had my map corrupted 3 times when uploading which made the car run total crap, only fixed by making a new map. -Also found my o2 sensor was giving me a crappy idle (hunting) so I disconnected it. -hope some of this might help somehow, please note that i'm a total amateur when it comes to tuning but I've been playing with the emange for a month or so and have got mine going pretty darn good.
  3. I changed from my pod back to a stock airbox and it got rid of all the induction noise but you also totally lose the ppppsssssshhhhhhhttttttt
  4. if you really really need to get rid of it quick I'll give you five bucks and a hungry jacks voucher.
  5. what boost does it run if you hook a pipe straight from the intercooler pipe to the actuator (don't use the pipe with the restrictor in it) if it holds boost ok then your stock boost solenoid is hooked up wrong, if it doesn't you actuator is probably stuffed.
  6. I have a question regarding the airflow adjustment map. I have been tuning the car using the injector map and have got the afr's pretty good but not quite perfect as the afr can change a little bit from within the same rpm tuning square. I think I read in this thread somewhere that you can use the airflow adjustment to fine tune the afr by changing the maps scale for finer adjustment. Is this still possible when my airflow meter is maxed out? I only really want to clean up my high rpm afr's
  7. ok will do I'm pretty sure it updated the first time I connected it after the update though. Your boost cut settings worked as well thanks for that, I just had to change one of the settings a bit lower and it was all good. I Think my rubber intake was sucking closed as well, I reinforced it after the boost cut settings didn't work at first.
  8. um, emu has the 2.16 firmware as well it seemed to of done it when the laptop shut down and had to be restarted, well I think
  9. which software update is that? I'm running 2.16 downloaded from mohdparts.com
  10. I've come across one annoying problem with the emanage, while stuffing around with the laptop when connected to the emanage with the car running somehow the map becomes corrupted and car runs megga rich on idle and can't rev past about 2 grand. However the problem is easily fixed, start a new map and then copy all the infomation across to the new map and car runs fine again....wierd.... its done this to me twice now. Anyone know what a safe rev limit is on RB25 I want to push it up just a bit to say 7200, 6800 doesn't seem enough.
  11. I installed and semi tuned the emanage myself with no problems and I only did this because my power fc broke nothings perfect!!
  12. My car was running rather very badly before the install due to highflow turbo and bigger injectors. Car is running great now apart from the fuel cut. I've never played around with tuning a car before but thought I would give it ago and I have to say that the emanage software makes it rather easy. I asked for a GTR harness but I was sent a universal harness so I just wired it in which wasn't too hard as it comes with ecu wire locations/descriptions (as in which wires are what and how they supposed to be connected to the ecu) Jumpers that I changed were JP8 to 2-3 (12V) as per what URAS said and JP13 to 1-2 to change it from reading knock to water temp. I downloaded firmware update 2.16 from here: http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/ Only trouble I really had was getting a nice AFR on idle (and one wire that I stuffed up on install because I can't count to 4) I've got S15 injectors and found the best setting to be 480cc with 0.06 lag time. This gave the smoothest idle and AFR of about 14.4-14.7 Heres a picture for anyone contemplating a wire in and a video of how it runs
  13. Hey guys I just installed an emu last week and I have been tuning it myself, anyway my AFM is maxing out pretty early (about 4500 rpm). The car pulls nicely in first and second but in third it hit some sort of fuel cut, I've clamped all the afm voltages at 5V but it still does it, it did it in second in the cold morning air as well. I turned the boost back down to ten and it's ok (was running 17-15) My question is, is this problem because of the afm? and will the map sensor sort me out?
  14. hmmm i was a worried for a while there it wouldn't start but when i checked my wiring the afm and water temp were mixed around so fixed it up and it started first go
  15. all done just have to see if it will run anymore
  16. cool thanks, if I cant get one ill just wire in the universal it doesn't look to hard
  17. does anyone know somewhere in Brisbane where emanage ultimates are sold I need a GTR harness
  18. hey mate if you cant find 2 injectors get onto nissan silvia it took me no time at all to find two sets of injectors, then I just sold the 2 left over on sau.
  19. your making me think I brought the wrong product now Anyway ended up sticking the sensor down where intercool did, the weld was a bit messy but it didn't cost me anything.
