  10. Jimbo2000, i was pretty sure that nos as an oxidising agent, also cools the charge of air as it reacts and then combusts?? therefor the car shouldnt be any hotter? please correct me if im wrong?

  12. Hi all, Just wondering how hot u guys have had ur cars?? i recently went to a track day and still only got the temp guage up to half way for the first time ever, generally it sits just below half way. Though today on a very hard drive round glorious today and we decided to go back the otherway, coming up the mountain my car began to get very hot and the temp guage rose to just before 3/4's. Could i have damaged something? has neone else got there car this hot before? Cheers John

    Why?????

i wasnt sure if that was him or not but i thought it might be.
  17. ^^^u said it dude, i know that it would cost alot more with a heavy chev in it, but we all dream about things, and i would do it in the drop of a hat if there was nothing to comprimise, but as it stands the the Q45 engine would be awesome, i have more than 50kg's or stereo in the boot so in a rough dodgy sort of way it kinda evens out, And i cannon on either side of my rear bumper seating at the lights burbling away, im not sure people would no what to think.
  18. ^^^ well said. hate always having to add that bit "till he hit boost" ah well, soon there will be no more of that....
  19. yep premium for sure, i get at least 50km's better consumption on a tank of premium.
  20. sorry bout the hijacking, the VH45DE is from a Nissan Infinity Q45, nissan's version of the holden statesman, ill be using the standard ECU to start with and if money permits a motec, and if it doesnt a microtech. The engine is all alloy including the heads thats y its so light.
  21. its 50kg heavier which isnt much at all, i have more than that in stereo in the boot so i figure it equals out in a very rough dodgy kinda way.
  22. VH45DE, something different, heaps of tuning potential, cheaper than a turbo set up in the short term, my whole family owns V8's and its hard to fit in haha, oh and the torque the TORQUE!! it would be the best drift setup i reckon. and great for track as well with no lag from big turbo's.
  23. Thats a really good point, i only ever do glorious very early in the morning, sometimes where lucky and the roads are still wet in some places.... but yes i love it, its like meditation for me.
  24. if at all possible a spot for my mate in his silvia? can pay as soon as u need it.
  25. Im in, just let me know when u need the money and how i can get it to you. Cheers John
