  1. Get the torque measurements for the idler bearing and tensioner. The stupid fu kwit that did mine, (in the possesion of the cars previous owner), overtightened these bolts. They snapped at 109k, detsrying the engine. BE CAREFUL WITH TIMING BELTS!! they can F*k your engine if not done properly!!!
  2. Its always a build up of cr*p in the switch. Pull it apart then put back toghether after cleaning contacts.
  3. Guys, order just been direct deposited, order form sent through and received. Now I play the waiting game.....
  4. Got anymore details on that bottom end? What did he have done to it?
  5. Gimme a few weeks to get mine back on the road, then organize a cruize....
  6. I've got a magnaflow 3" muffler with a 4" tip. Its got the same setup you described, a cap goes into the end (held in by a little screw) wit a small hole to quiten it down. I think its supposed to be a temp. fix if you get defected to quietn the exhaust note.
  7. Fat32, can ya give us some info on them larger injectors that drop straight in? What size are they, brand etc...
  8. It just happened to me. Damn previous owner didnt get bearings changed at the 100k service - just the belts. Far#n idler bearing let go, and bye bye engine. And yes it is costing a fu*n sheitload.
  9. you have to give it some revs, then let it out. The clutch is an on or off type - not one you can really ride on (like around shopping centres). I know coz I got one in my car. Takes a few weeks to get used to.
  10. whose wasting who's time, you're the one who slings shit then says, "My car runs 12.8, with less than 2k spent on it"
  11. You're not worth arguing with mate. As for that net parrot statement, how did you learn what you know? Did god ESP all the knowledge of the universe into your head making you know everything?
  12. Hey f*kwit, I did'nt say I knew it all. Second, Your the one who said youve got 300 kw only on a std rb20 high flow, retune ecu & FMIC. Makes me understand why everyone who comes back from perth says everyone there is up themselves.
  13. I find it hard to believe you got 300kw with the std injectors, fuel pump etc. Don't the std inj. run out at 240-250? Dont make F*kn stupid comments r32-gts, we're here to share info, not bag the crap outa each other.
  14. Its the rb25de non turbo head that bolts straight up.
  15. Describe your body - kit?
  16. 321 go, or boosted zed, Im gunna order the kit from me car. Heres the deal, I gots the money before the end of the month, but its like the 31st, the last day to pay off the kit, sooo, if I pay the deposit b4, then the balance on the 31st is this ok? Im gunna do a direct deposit, so if I fax the receipt or whatever on the 31st (during the day) I'm assuming you would know the balance has been paid?
  17. How do ya fry the plug/Ecu?
  18. : Deep breathing : calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean, OK, sorry man. For my case the 260 is an extra $1600 for forged pistons. But since im only going below 250 the std pistons are no prob. Sorry if I misread the post, but I work the afternoon shift, by the time I get home, Im lucky to walk straight let alone read.
  19. Hey guys im looking at doing the rb30/25 head in me r32. In one of the other posts I was stating to someone what I would be getting done. Long story short, what would you think of an rb30 block, properly rebuilt using ACL bearings, honed, etc using standard pistons? Someone commented that this sounded like ya mommas VL engine rebuild. Do you agree?
  20. Yeah well why donrt they just accept someone got a good deal insted of saying shi*t like "mum's VL" engine rebuild?
  21. Ok guys i hear where your all coming from. Im just stating what im getting done. Roy - no offence, but dont comment on sh#t you dont know about. The rebuild is using ACL bearings, its a high quality large workshop here in Adelaide that specialize in rebuilding engines, the standard rb30e pistons are good up to 250 rwkw providing it is tuned well and not detonating. Who the f*k said anything about more than 250kw? Why dont you concentrate on Cool Hand Luke's question rather than downing someone elses opinion?
  22. I was talking about the gcg high flow stage 2 500hp rated turbo. Ive heard it would not run on an rb20. Doesn't it always come down to its who ya know - not what you know (as people have proven)
  23. i give up. im just stating what i have heard, not from experience.
  24. sorry dudes but your wrong. Im currently doing the above with help from a colleague, so there is no labour costs. And yes it is cotsing 2k for the engine. 770 for rebuilt rb30 block, 750 for rb25 head. then its 500 for any left overs. The cost of the turbo is ~2450. Yes the height is ~30mm taller. Now, forget what I said about the damn engine and go back to my original comment. The Rb25 high flow wont run on an rb20!
