  1. My tyres must be shit. My car will wheel spin every gear unless I'm insanely careful with the accelerator. Going to buy better rear tyres next time around.
  2. I've got plenty of track drifting photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/levibuzolic/tags/drift/
  3. Got lucky the other day, some douche reversed his car into my girlfriends Honda Civic and drove off, but fortunately somebody was nice enough to leave a note with the name of the company that was on the site of the car, so I googled it, found the guy's mobile number and gave him a call. Managed to get him to admit it was him that did it. He said he felt a "small bump" but didn't think he hit it that hard, so just drove off. Seriously WTF? He knew he hit another car, but didn't even get out to check, just drove off. Got a quote at a local place, it'll be $500 the repair or $700 to replace the bumper. Will be meeting with him this week to organise it getting fixed and him paying for it.
  4. Even I managed to get around Wanneroo in 59 seconds in a rev limited formula ford.
  5. People always say they don't trust certain brands without ever actually having a genuine bad experience with them, and those that have usually are due to user error or other factors. Any decent brand name oil filter is going to be the same as any other. In most cases Nissan and other car company's just relable/rebrand another brand of filter. I've been using the Ryco 145A's in my R33 since I got it, 40,000km's ago and I've never had an issue. They're around $10 from supercheap auto, repco or any other shop.
  6. Tenegah sourced and fitted mine.
  7. Pics looks good, but some of the ones with the models look like the focus plane was missed by a little.
  8. Usually caused by fault Air Flow Meter or Aftermarket Blow Off Valve. Both are easy to fix, the AFM is the easiest and cheapest to test, you can borrow somebody elses, will only take 15 minutes, if no difference then it's probably related to the blow off valve. Aftermarket blow off valves that vent to the atmosphere (instead of recirculating) will cause most skylines/stageas to stall. Also as a quick (temp) fix you can unscrew your AAC valve a little (it's a small screw on the intake plenum) this will raise the idling RPM and should make it a little harder to stall (will probably use a bit more fuel and have a less steady idle though).
  9. Not sure what pressure you should be getting, but possibly check for a slight leak or something?
  10. Wont be down shooting this time, will be in Busselton for the rally instead.
  11. What kinda car cam did you get Sam? Is it one of those little silver go pro things I stuck on your car at the skid pan day? If you want a hand with any of it, just give me a yell. Depending on how big the files are and what you want done with them, you could send them to me and I can do something with em.
  12. Some decent pics there, though you may want to practise your follow focusing a little. Kinda wished I came down, but I just had too much other stuff on this weekend.
  13. So nothing to do with all the auto gearboxes he was destroying?
  14. Looks good mitch, what happened to the leggy?
  15. High possibility of stalling when putting the clutch in. Also good chance of killing your turbo as it only has a Nylon based compressor blades along with much higher possibility of developing air leaks on the various silicon joins/lines.
  16. Highly doubt any regular stores will have it. Autoworx (or similar places) maybe will have a kit, but whether they'll separate the pipe from the kit at a decent price is another question. My old pipe is still here if you want it, should be pretty easy to fit, and then you can put something between the bonnet and pipe to stop it wearing. As said above, mounting it lower would be the best option, though you'll need to cut your radiator fan back a bit to do that. Also, by the sounds of it you car should be alright, here's hoping that the broken bit didn't go in. You could always take apart the intake manifold and all that to make sure. But I suppose once you get a new pipe on then you'll know if there are any issues.
  17. Hopefully the turbo pressure pushed it out, rather than the cylinders sucking it in.
  18. The fan should have heaps of power behind it, or at least mine does.
  19. Are you getting confused about Oil Temp and Oil Pressure? I'm pretty sure your car should only have a Oil Pressure gauge and that is meant to raise according to the RPM of the engine. When driving normally my Oil Pressure sits between 1/4 and 1/2 but if I gun it it will go up more probably as high as 3/4. So are you looking at this gauge or do you actually have an aftermarket oil temp gauge? But for the water temp; check your fan is working.
  20. Have a look on eBay for any of the sellers that sell these kits if you contact them they'll be able to send you out just the top pipe. You should be able to replace it yourself in about 15 minutes. When I bought one of these kits I put the boost nipple on at slightly the wrong angle so I contacted the eBay seller I bought it off and got him to send out a replacement pipe. It cost me ~$100 which is a rip-off, but I needed it. I still have my spare one here that has the boost nipple on in a slightly awkward position. If you wanted it; you could plug up the old boost nipple and then just put a new one in; pretty simple process that will elt you have a working car again until you source a new pipe.
  21. This topic has been covered a bunch of times here already. But basically; you'll need a temporary moving permit (48hrs) which will allow you to take it to the pits, you'll need to get a inspection done and as long as everything is legal on the car; you should be good to go the same day. You will need to check that the car has an immobiliser as they're required here but not in the eastern states. If you don't have an immobiliser; you'll need to get one fitted before getting the inspection done. For the inspection you'll need change of ownership forms and any other related documentation. Also you'll need to make sure all lights/wipers/indicators etc. etc. is in 100% working condition.
  22. This should help. These two diagrams apply for the R33 GTSt. If you need any more help, drop me a PM, installing mine last year was pretty easy. Alternate URL: http://skylineswiki.com/Image:Apexineo-r33-01.jpg Alternate URL: http://skylineswiki.com/Image:Apexineo-r33-02.jpg
  23. Unfortunately yeah. I think it might have been set in the wrong mode when I stuck it to your car; that or the batteries died. it's a little pain in the ass thing to use and you can't see the screen in the sunlight. There were two or three other clips but they were pointed at dodgy angles where you couldn't actually see anything. I'll try make a bit of a better effort next time to get more footage.
  24. Had a look through my gallery; didn't get too many of you but here's what I have:
  25. Ok video is up, but only in crappy quality at the moment. The good quality one is 130Mb and my net is slow for another week still, so here's the 30Mb crap-tastic version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlikPeg--rQ
