  1. Gold: Fit the IAC assembly. Placed on harmonic balancer. Fit alternator belt Fit oil filter Fit drivers engine mount Fit rear head drain. Not much left now. Have to tighten the balancer and try and get a joiner for the rear head drain hose. Then, its ready to drop in.
  2. Yep. Had a small clearance already in it. And the longer to the rear, as usual. I suspect they're just big housings.
  3. When your garage doesn't have an actual light.......you improvise.
  4. Turbos are trust 618z, journal bearing. 10cm rear housings. Inlet is also greedy. Just turned out that way.
  5. Gold: Had a hole in the rear dump pipe welded, which meant i could finally fit it all up. Installed both turbos, dumps, merge pipe, turbo oil drain hoses, oil feeds. Front dump pipe was fouling the rear turbo(swapped the hip dumps that were originally on these turbos to the nismo turbos in the white car as it will see track use). 'Clearenced' it with a hammer. Came up ok. Can see in the pics how close it still is. These turbos are massive. I finally put factory rear housing heat shields on, and they touch and bend on the rear housing due to the size. Anyway, keep those questions coming. XXX I cant afford a big single and decent gear box yet, so staying twins for now. One day XXX
  6. They're not too bad(considering) I'd equate the lag to a 6766 on a 26 And similat power output on 98. The 30 bottom end certainly helps. I still have a 6boost single manifold. If I keep the car, will probably go single again one day. Oh, I also cant afford the turbo and head work I'd like to really take advantage of a single. And cant beat the stock look of direct replacement twins.
  7. Already set up for twins. Means I can drop it in, start it up and drive. Rather than having to get exhaust modded and tune again. Also, they're big twins [emoji4] If that helps
  8. Yep, 1mm. Apparently the valve stems were worn and getting thin. So, kind of lucky/unlucky I pulled the engine down. Lucky, because I wouldn't want to drop a valve into a piston. Unlucky, because the knock I though was bearings, was a loose cam gear.
  9. Gold: Fitted: Sump Head studs Head gasket Head Cam backing plate Cam gears Water pump Crank gear Timing belt and pullies Timing covers Exhaust manifolds NS engine mount Ac comp bracket Power steer bracket Turbo oil lines Cam covers And today: Spark plugs Coil packs and loom Valley cover Intake manifold Throttle bodies Plenum Dump pipe to front turbo. Found a small hole in the rear dump pipe and a weld sitting a little too close to fit a nut, so will fix that tomorrow at work, then fit in the afternoon.
  10. Gold: Engine back from builders. Painted block Rear crank seal fitted Oil pump fitted Windage trays fitted Oil pick up fitted Sump adapter fitted
  11. White: Finally purchased more parts. After finding out the knock sensor loom I recieved wasnt for a 32, had to add that to the list of purchases. So, now have the following; Knock sensor loom Coil pack loom Ignitor module Heater temp sensor Ac compressor bolts Ac comp bracket bolts Clutch booster hose and check valve Have most of the stuff now. Feeling a lot closer.
  12. Gold: Deposit has been left and motor should be getting the machine work started soon.
  13. White: Recieved the charcoal canister and ac bracket the other day, should be fitting them this weekend! Along with a knock sensor loom I got. Cant wait to get more done.
  14. They do, but wouldn't surprise me if they copied that as well.
  15. Prices for all parts for sale? As per forum rules.
  16. Also made a to buy/to do list. Heres what I can think of, off the top of my head.
  17. White: So, a while ago I purchased some lmgt4's with the intent of putting them on my gold car. Then I got the white car and thought they could go on it. Wasn't sure if they were genuine or reps as they had been recoated and no stickers fitted. They seemed genuine at the time. Finally stripped the tyre off, as I want to get them redone in gloss black. Picked them up off the machine after removing the rubber and was shocked..... They're so light! Have to be genuine. I'm pretty sure they're lighter than the current lmgt4's that I have fitted to the gold car that I know are genuine. Very happy with this. Cant wait to get them redone and fit them to the car. Anyway, heres some pics....... Ps, had the maaaad stretch fit tyres on the front. It will NOT be getting this kind of treatment from myself.
  18. Use the "attachment" link instead of photo. I had the same issue, and this is the easiest work around.
  19. And back home for the long winter ahead.
