Recently went on a 4wd trail for the first time, and enjoyed it a lot.
That's when the thoughts started...
I want to go again.
But, even though it was a fairly light track, there was one point where I was teetering and felt a pretty small slide.
Having previously seen a mate slide into an embankment and have to slide and drive out(years before), I had the concern in the back of my mind.
My current daily is too nice for this kind of possible damage. It's a self confessed show pony.
So, what's the solution?
I started looking for a cheap 4x4.
Something that I didnt care if it got a dent or scratch.
Initially I wanted a diesel and auto combo.
After a short search, I found what I was looking for. Didnt end up with a diesel, or even an auto.
What I found was a D21 navara.
Z24 petrol 4 cyl. Manual.
Already has an ARB bull bar, winch and long range tank fitted.
Currently has no rego and requires a bit of work.
This thread will document said work.
My partner and I came up with the name nugg as we like wombats and call them nuggets. We hope it will be as unstoppable as they are.
Also, it's a bit of a nugget in general.
Welcome, to nugg life.
