  8. thats a pretty big call to make mate....my series 1 begs to differ to your theory Series ones are getting old these days but i love them (hence why i have one).....if i were you mate i would take it to boost worx or willall racing or southern hitech or graham west workshop or morpowa or fours and more.....well take it to one of those workshops mentioned and get them do check it all out for ya mate....compression and leak down tests are a must AFAIK Goodluck with how you go in getting your pride and joy mate

  11. ^^ that made me almost fall off the chair laughing Yeah its an easy fix and prob doesnt even take 10 mins to do...a helped a mate of mine and we did it in the super cheap car park lol..once you take the stock air box off it will start making sense lol yeah definitely too far if thats the result lol
  12. $300 damn man dont worry about heat shields....you will find a lot of cars on here running pods don't have a heat shield and they make some good power too.... Here is what you can do or what i would do: 1 - Go to supercheap/autobarn (where ever) get yourself an adaptor to suit a R34 skyline and while your there get a $30 el cheapo pod filter. 2 - remove the air box and from there on its pretty easy. install the adaptor slap on the pods and you have a pod filter installed. 3 - go to an exhaust place and get them to make 2 brackets up for you so that your pod filter is being held securely otherwise its a defect All of the above will only cost you roughly $100 if that.
  13. also on the cautious side you dont want to be rushing a tuner as well....dont want them making any mistakes now do we
  14. Bit late notice to try and get some dyno time for a tune mate....should have arranged this a while ago and that way there wouldnt have been any hassles....you will find that most of the tuners are booked in advance hence why the waiting period....give all the tuning workshops a call and see what they can do for you mate...goodluck with it though
  15. oh no not again...well hopefully not stolen and if the owner was driving it like that then they ought to be caught and thrown in the slammer....if its stolen then i hope it gets recovered before any major damage is done
  16. get one more post up and then PM rubyrs4 i think thats what his user name is....he is the club sec and very helpful lad.....
  17. ah sorry kim i got the 2 mixed up
  18. i think you will find that they don't go flat out around the whole track from memory...you leave the pits to start your lap there is a makeshift chicane on the back straight and you finish your lap by entering the pit lane...still decent enough track to show you what can be done
  19. If your looking at getting an R then i would personally keep the 180 till i get the R and then sell the 180 or convert it into a track/street car lol....
  20. +1 This is an awesome day out and you definitely learn a lot about yourself and your car. You pick up a lot of things about track/street driving as well. Very very helpful and will definitely help you if your keen on doing some track days and how to get your car setup for it. The beauty about a day like this is you dont need a track spec car to do it and you get first hand feedback from the pro's. This course really does open your eye to a whole new level of driving. So get on this course if you are thinking about doing some track days down the track. Its well worth the money you pay for it. I even had an instructor in my car at one stage and they tell you a whole heap of very useful information
  21. hey mate car looks clean as....goodluck with the sale just a quick question as to what front seats do you have???

  23. you sir have a pm
  24. get in touch with Iron Chef....he might be able to help you out
  25. mate the best advice i can give you is to take your car to an import specialist workshop...i advice you strongly against using the services of ultra tune there are a few reputable workshops that you can take your car to and have the piece of mind that it will be well looked after....boost worx, willall racing, morpowa, southern hitech, graham west workshops there are the ones off the top of my head at you will find that there is a whole lot of stuff cheaper on these forums, online retailers like nengun, and also using the traders on the main section
