  1. I had a HUGE problem when I had mine sprayed a few years back. The pillars looked like crimple paint and had runs down the doors under the little lump runs from one end of the car to the other. The runs were ~4-5cm long!! They had the car for 3 months and racked up close to 100km's on it. Eventually got the car back and it was running like a bag of shit. Popped the bonnet to find the carbon canister was missing and it had a rather large vac leak. :S Slack bastards. I paid to have the windows removed, they didn't but still charged me and the paint lip around the windows looked shit. I kicked up a huge stink to the insurance company and they had them respray the car again. This time it was better but the paint still looked like it went on too thick or something and shifted down the door slightly as it dried. Had to pay some one else to remove the windows as they said they were unable to. I was only refunded half of what I paid to have the windows originally removed as they said half of the cost to remove the windows is what it costs to mask them up. lmfao This mob is is a relatively large 'pump shop' one at Lonsdale O'sullivans beach road and another down near Le'Cornues. They really didn't give a shit. Pump shop is all they were. Drop me a PM if you want to know where not to go.
  2. Bubba... As the crank is nitreded from factory its best not to grind the crank if possible. If the motor had massive end-float its the assembler that didn't do his job ensuring everything was in spec when the motor was pulled down. I went with King bearings bimetals which use an oversized thrust so a better alternative than machining the crank completely with oversized bearings. So far so good 90,000km's and counting.
  3. Luke, I used that Ultra Grey Loctite stuff. I covered the base and top section of the coil pack ensuring I squeezed silicon in between the coil pack and its mounting ring bit if that makes sense. I run copper plugs so have the coils out every 20-30k. So far so good the silicon is sticking and not peeling off etc. make sure you give them a little wipe with metho or something so the silicon sticks. Its been a good 1.5yrs and they are still going strong.
  4. Luke.. Get some damn silicon on them. Mine were breaking down at 12psi ish. Silicon and then they haven't broke down and i've ran up to 22psi.
  5. Torrents are slow in comparison to usenet. If at all possible I prefer to use usenet as it 'instantly' downloads at the max speed my connection can support. Unlike torrents.
  6. My Usenet tools of choice... Newsleecher QuickPar WinRAR + A couple of websites.. nzbrus etc...
  7. No need for a dose pipe. VL's cut sik burnouts. ---- Closed
  8. Bezender your on Internode I believe. Usenet FTW. That quota will disappear damn quick.
  9. Reground RB26 cams (that I picked up for $60 for two) as they don't have to be built up. $330 in total for both sticks.
  10. 265/263 8.9mm Tighe Regrinds. 221degree's at 0.050" - Cost me $330. I was a little sceptical of the 265duration but Shaun/Boostworx insisted they work well in the rb30. Fuel economy is great - A little over 11L/100. No noticeable loss down low even though the dyno shows 2-3 kw. Once over 2k the cams start making more power compared to stock. On the road low gear spool improved noticably. It appears to rev up and spool the turbo a tad quicker at light load (i.e low gear).
  11. Sometimes. I like to crack it open every so often so it makes a bit of noise. The problem with the stocker look is every one thinks its a slow pos stock rb20det.
  12. Mine is a std looking 32 gtst. No big mufflers etc so it looks fairly sedate. Std ride height. No GTR rims though. Still the std alloy coloured R32 GTST rims. Definitely changes its note when it opens up. No screamer. But yeah bigger turbo (gt3076 .82), cams, rb30det making ~300rwkw.
  13. Bezender.. So for that $$ job title? Level 1 CSO or?
  14. bezender... 18k.. cut. :S Nodes Level 1 CSO payrate is ~38.5k. So that would be 56k for the work your doing now?
  15. rockabilly. How is its response in the quicker reving second gear? Where abouts do you see 1bar there or does it tend to feel like its just reving until the last few hundred rpm where it hits hard?
  16. Yeah it was bud.
  17. Spotted you also DSTROY. Down Anzacs on the way to the bay. Definitely sits low. Would have to say its the tidiest 32 I've seen. Your sig pic doesn't do it justice.
  18. Spotted ENR34 Luke down Anzacs. I was in the dirty 32 on the way home.
  19. Unsure on the torque mines running in comparison to Guilt-Toys but its making ~160rwkw at 3000rpm 200rwkw at 3500rpm and 256rwkw at 4000rpm then on to 302rwkw @ 17psi @ 6000rpm. Cams really woke it up with regards to the power it made on bugger all boost. * The forgivingness if you don't want to rev it out; short shift and it just doesn't seem to loose pace or drop off boost. * Its pull from 60km/h in fourth gear. * Being able to stick it to rb25 and 26's from 60km/h in third gear when they are nailing second. Most of all how tough the 3ltr sounds. Since the cams went in its super deep and throbs on idle.
  20. Not really suitable for this thread but typically if your sticking with the std exh. manifold don't go any bigger than a gt3076r .82. If your going to go an aftermarket exh manifold GT35r or larger. Stock internals handle quite a bit of power (400-500rwhp) Its rev's/missed shifts that kills them.
  21. 560hp ATW? Street tyres or? (looks at your avtar)
  22. Dale. What did you settle on? Left both unblocked and simply restricted them down a tad?
  23. I know of VLT that has broken a few rb25t box's with 350rwkw. Long diff gears + hard launches on sticky tyres = bang. He must give it a hiding. Mine has held together fairly well. Still nice and quiet.
  24. As I mentioned in previous post. The Rb20det cam has the same duration and lift as the rb25de but the centerline is more suitable for N/A. However the rb25de cam appears to do fairly well with the 3ltr. If you drop the rb20det cam in to the rb25de head you will drop power compared to the rb25de smaller cam as the centerline of the rb20det cam is not suited to the rb30det. So.. Drop a set of adj. cams gears on to it. But honestly.. I wouldn't bother. The rb25de cams appear to do fairly well. Wait until you throw a set of cams at it then bother.
  25. Bezender.. Get in to a company where you can work your way up and get away from being a CSO. Internode is a good example. Admittedly you may take a pay cut from telstra/optus for the first couple of years but after 1year 2 absolutely max if your your not all that keen and your up and away from front line support.
