  1. Me too. Bought the JJR de-cat for my 33, fits perfect.
  2. Seeing as niether of the links work cant really say alot, but the Blitz LM is a good FMIC. Pricey, but like you said, you want a good one.
  3. Why would you not just point him in the right direction seeing as hes already bought the intake rather than insult him with flash CEO letter posting? What you need to do is undo all the bolts holding the airbox to the chassy, then undo the hoseclamp and jiggle it out as a whole piece. Then work on the benchtop Much easier! Im PRETTY sure thats how i did it, was a while ago so cant quite remember! Might give you some ideas anyway. EDIT: Just re-visited a photo (too hard to move and lift the bonnet ), thats how i did it, undo the hose clamp on the turbo side of the AFM and pull it out that way. It needs to come out in the end anyway, so makes bolt access easy. Good Luck! PS Dont forget to unplug the AFM! You would look silly otherwise haha
  4. Hahaha. Nizmo_freek used his head when cutting the bar
  5. Uncalled for? Just seen some other photos, and its not the angle. Did you know aussie has more sheep per capita than NZ?
  6. I wasnt talking about yours! Thats what the two photos are for LOL they are both Blitz. We already established that the Stealth one just sits rediculously high on an S2 front. Agreed tho, lowering it would be pointless as the pipes wouldnt reach. Still. Alot better than the R34 SMIC like mine, and your old one!
  7. Im gonna go ahead and suggest you possibly used the wrong bracket? I think they come with 33 and 34 brackets. As Nizmo_freek has the same fromt bar and same Blitz LM and his one doesnt show the return bar. Looks hot! Maybe a monkey installed yours? Te he OR, is it the angle of the photo? They are a little different.... Even so, looks MUCH better than the Cooling pro, there must be an easy fix for getting it lower!
  8. Is it me or does this make no sence? Why buy a Blitz to sell and get a Stealth? Unless you were after some $? Hehe. Im guessing, in this case if your like me and have an S2 with a different OEM bumper (pictured) Then possibly you wont have the same effects? As there looks to be bugger all behind the indicator, heeeeaps of room. Can only buy one and try i guess!
  9. In regards to the Apexi'i, maintenece free i think means it doesnt need oiling. But obviously if it gets shit dirty it still needs a clean. Common sence would suggest washing it from the inside out. Or your just forcing shit deeper into the filter elements. Especially with compressed air. Dam good idea tho, but id be popping it out and doing it from the inside
  10. Exactly! I started to care a few weeks back and tried to drive my Hiace around to save some coin. But lets face it. It didnt last. The Skyline is so much nicer to drive and a good squirt is much fun. So it didnt last and im back in the Skyline:D The 1st week i owned my R33 when it was stock i burnt off $200 worth of fuel
  11. Not cheap! 2nd hand sets still go for $1500 plus in NZ for just front calipers alone, no pads. They probly come up every now and then cheaper, but so far i havnt personally seen any. Edit: Well lookie here http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-147333255.htm Front and rear
  12. Im not 100% sure what else, but series 1 and 2 have a drematic headlight change, that also changes the bonnet guards and bumper. Series 1 look more "GTR" Styled than the Series 2. I dont know how easy it is to swap the parts over to make a fake S2.. im sure someone can help.
  13. That depends if your inclined to say that a fast car is a "better" car or not
  14. Guard rasers.. so what happens when you rais the guards? then the bonnet is too low. Hence the new hinges. They are different. Im pretty sure the list is justified. Dont you think the people that have done it would have tried to use as many GTS parts as possible to minimise the cost? Although im pretty sure the majority of the parts are for the S2
  15. Good job. Seems with nearly every job theres one bolt that just wont budge!
  16. Anyone notice the comments? lol. For some odd reason im lead to believe the R34 GTR had an RB26 producing 276bhp on paper? Anyone confirm this? LOL
  17. Possibly, would look like a GTR? Fancy that! From what i read on this forum from someone doing it, it was an easy $2000++ job for the front end alone, and the member said it wasnt worth the hassle.
  18. have you tried a 6 sided socket with a breaker bar, and an extention over the breaker? Leverage is key Or is there no room?
  19. Sure that would be great if its not to much hassle! I was just trying to avoid the idea of having to cut any part of the car. But at the moment my Apexi Pod just sucks in pure oven temeratures ha. Seems to go all right tho, the R34 SMIC is red hot after a good "spirited" drive, so its doing its job.
  20. I have a little question i hope someone can answer for me! regarding cold air boxes and CAI's etc so here we go.. If your like me and dont like the return pipe over the radiator etc, and want to keep the stock piping, then your CAI feed holes are well and truly plugged up already. So in a S2 R33, where would i get a CAI feed from? The stock snorkel is an option if im clever enough to make something up, but the way i see it is the stock airbox is sealed right, so its acually SUCKING the air through the snorkel, its not actually being fed/rammed, thus because the bonnet closes over it and it looses its direct feed to the outside air. In the case of a home built un-sealed CAB then the snorkel becomes useless, because it cannot have air rammed into it while driving. Thus returning to the problem of the hot air being drawn in from under the wall of the CAB. Im at a loss Please enlighten me! My old Integra Type , i had the pod in the bumper, and the intake pipe was ice cold right to the throttle body regardless of driving conditons too. Wish i could do this!
  21. I may have been incorrectly informed but cant you swap the RB26 Tappet cover/cam pulley covers onto an RB25? If you have a front facing plenum that is? havnt seen it, but have been told so correct me if need be. This way you have a more visually appealing RB25 than your average RB25
  22. The whole idea of "bolt on" is exactly that. Nothing reuired but spanners/rachets.
  23. May have been wise to do before posting Your not talking about Soichi are you? If so. Dis-regard my comment.
  24. Haha you fool I meant rather than offereing dyno days, he JUST uses it for customers wanting tunes. Very understandable! Dont think i could be arsed putting 20 or so cars through a dyno in a day.
