  1. From the outside they look the same. Well the garrett one anyway they use the same housings. And yeh they are all high mounted.

  3. Trust sump hangs quite low but works very well and well priced.
  4. Ok i found out some info. Spoke to PPG , they do not make a syncro box for gtr but they are in the process of developing one but could be up to a year away. Closest thing is the helical cut 1-4 with dog engagement rings.

  6. Also sydneykid i dont know if u can work it out but going from my dyno graph and power can u estimate what sorta times in a perfect world could be run ? I think there is a dyno graph on this thread. cheers.
  7. Ok well this is getting a bit outta hand so i won;t say anymore. What i will say is i never bagged out anyone elses combo ever. This topic was about the t04 turbo and somehow got changed around to this. And because one car with 2530's has run a decent time that makes it the only combo to use ? I think not but its only my opinion as i think with the same prep i will get close to those times (gearset, slicks, more boost) . Like i said i have never bagged anyone elses combo especially pauls two.6L which is an awesome effort in anyones books. End of arguments ! P.S Ant built most of the engine but i did almost all of the other things on my car myself so i will enjoy it
  8. At the end of the day i coudnt give a f**k about response even though i know mine is responsive i dont really care what other ppl think. I built the car to go fast . You can have have your opinions and i have mine which is fair enough.. Either way i have run a ten and you havn't so the dirty old single cant be too bad and there is lots more in reserve to come.
  9. If you believe those sheets u should actually get an idea of what power gtr;s make with what setups. Its a bit of a joke considering the bosch dyno's usually read over 100hp higher than a DD dyno.
  10. Im not having a go ay anyone just trying to discuss a topic. At 20psi now i make 560rwhp so does my effiiciency go up according to your table ? Also the two2.6L gtr runs a os giken gearset which didnt have to be babied into third like i had to so its not really a fair comparison but anyway good to discuss. Also i think the t04z is rated at 700-750hp depending on where you get your info from not 800.
  11. Pete maybe we should compare our 2 cars on the road and see how they behave ?? Response time etc. Also comparing my car to two.06L isnt exactly apples with apples as you say as it runs a gutted interior , street slicks and c16. How can you compare that with a full street trim GTR running ultimate 98 full interior and tornado tyres running almost identical MPH. Just my opinion.
  12. If your talking to me SK it was on the raod testing nothing to do with a dyno graph. Was me next to a 2530 equipped GTR. Yes it had a standard motor and no head work and no big cams but im thinking thats not gonna affect response anyway ?? Im thinking the cams and head work are gonna help it higher in the RPM range not down low. And as for response time between gears im yet to have it fall off power between gear changes and it exists corners on boost like a slingshot.
  13. I think my GTR is in the new Hpi Magazine for the hyperdrive dyno comp but was back when car was on low boost with t04z 520rwhp i think.
  14. I just decided i would try it and see how it went as i thought a gt35r would be slightly too small for what i wanted. The t04z ended up been an excellent choice in terms of lag vs power. Comes on boost sooner then a mates gtr with HKS 2530's but just keeps powering in the top end.
  15. Also that is very good power your making for 18psi at that boost i think im only making 400rwkw's at 18psi. I managed to get a 10.9 with 425rwkw's on street tyres with 1.6 60 ft times . It had more in it but i had to baby third gear in the stock box to avoid breaking it. The box exploded the next day anyway. Start saving for a gearset !

  17. Hi WRXKilla well done mate. Very interesting power curve there. The t04r is meant to be very similar to the t04z except t04z is ball bearing . Im thinking there must be more differences then that to improve its response time. I have another graph to post up showing boost pressure might be interesting to compare how they ramp up.

  19. I would use the 20mm bearings designed for 26 heard a few stories of the vl bearings in 26's shitting themselves ,
  20. Thats 74kg heavier then mine although i only had 1/4 tank of fuel. I've taken all my hicass pumps and lines out which could be about 20kg and one turbo would be lighter then 2 i would say.
  21. Exactly sometimes i think i have a 13b bridgy under the hood when sitting at the lights idling.
